I don't know how to start, but I just have to put this post up in support of a friend. I knew her way back in school to be a lively soul and so I was worried when I saw her WhatsApp status and had to ask questions. Her mother had been I'll since April and their resource blown, she still needs dialysis and funds ain't coming through. She needs all the help she can get and I suggested coming here to seek help. I'm convinced she would find as I have anonymously assisted people from here too. With her permission, I m posting this here.

My questions would be if he is truly aware of the pains he caused and deeply sorry for them? If his life had turned better, would he have remembered you or he has tried all he could but still failed and knowing you have a soft spot for him because of the child between you decided to exploit it and leach on you? Find out the above and make your own decisions because las las you alone know what you truly want and will be the one to reap whatever outcome. Good luck |
FarmTech:Mostly sluggishness and weak arms. |
Been very occupied lately, however all but 2 birds I chose to reserve from the 2 batch of broilers have been cleared. An order was placed for 2 cartons, but only one was delivered, we're hoping to pick the rest tomorrow and integrate them to the farm. I sourced my birds for protein yesterday and it was an emotional moment for me but sha that's why they were raised and I'm happier for the effort. |
MhizzMarcelina:God's grace, country hard but we must all keep pushing, do not put all your eggs in a basket but remember your aunty is not your problem. You need to create a life of your own. |
Hello lady, How are you doing? Read through your thread, hope you go the needed help? |
I found this blog useful https://hcsummers.com/blog/3488/causes-and-prevention-of-coccidiosis-in-your-flock |
Sorry for your loss. From my little experience, Coccidiosis is the most common ailments of birds an a leading cause of bird mortality. I'd personally advice you to buy coxstop and administer to them through their water, but I must confess that my knowledge is limited as I can as well pass for a novice. Meanwhile, great agrolanders who take delight in assisting others like @jidestroud will be here soon to offer a 'higher level' help, but before they get here, what does their stool look like? Where they vaccinated? May our loss be small. Amen |
26 gone...

2nd batch is 19 days old. Selling would commence on Monday @ weeks. Lost 4, felt really bad because the were lost in their second week. I thought that having survived the first week without mortalities, that we were good to go. It taught me that though wood shavings are good liters to use, carton serves better so their stools can be easily monitored for signs of diseases. Still learning, we move.

The first batch @ 5 weeks plus. I'm just tempted to "off the neck" of one to see if it really tastes like chicken.

1b8m:Very interesting, when you do, please share here too |
1b8m:please throw more light on what you mean by process and sell |
1b8m:Of course it gives great joy to see your birds respond to this particular style of feeding, the only downside is the market. The pricing most time is soul dampening. |
1b8m:I guess it is more expensive in Umuahia. I bought at 4650 last week, could be more now |
1b8m:How much did you buy the scale? |
Quite impressive, op do keep it up |
Well-done sah |
felai:good deal, someone should pick before I do |
SmartProf:please this hurts, you must not remind those of us from Abia state how unfortunate we have been in terms of governance |
Nigerians are being elected in other continents but are not even allowed to contest in local councils other than their own in their own state |
Nwaotu:That may not be necessary as you will be creating bad blood. Hold on a little longer, hopefully their anger will wear out |
jidestroud:I actually thought it wise to brood them together in the brooding room for atleast 3weeks before separating them. I didn't give them lasorta because of the review I got about them, felt they were absolute waste of resources. I had to use sticks to raise and observe the excreta, they're actually worms |
Bro jidestroud, please what could be the cause of wormlike excreta in my chicks? I suspect it is from the cockerels, could it be because I didn't give them the 'lasota vaccine' I have lost three currently. Are there possibilities of infecting the broilers? Just so I can separate them. Thanks |
MikeMicheal:I guess you missed the part they said there was an inflow that matches the description of the complainant and asked him for an explanation. |
@ 3 weeks plus

Redomi:It was temporary. I mostly use coal and electricity, though epileptic. |
