Aconomist: New York is divided into like 7, 9? boroughs... Chicago pizza is deep dish, and better. A bodega is basically a corner store, a convenience store. Why would I lie about visiting Manhattan and finding it dirty Speaking of smooth brains: I didn’t compare New York to Lagos originally. I compared people’s reaction to their city being insulted. You didn’t comprehend the simple text I wrote and started making one to one comparisons which I said was not proper. But I did call it a lie that the best place in Lagos is worse than the worse place in New York. It’s still a lie 2 Likes |

doxijaw: Lol are we responsible for you? Can you not set good examples for yourselves to follow? Are you incapable? If anything you people should be running a decent moral, thriving country so us poor wayward children of slaves have a functioning place to come back to. Instead... smh Trust me, your country has been dysfunctional since the days of colonialism and has only managed to decline since the technical end of colonialism. Don’t blame Black Americans for that, have some accountability! lmao 1 Like |

9icest: That Forbes article is based on an Internations survey. Which is how expats personally view places they live abroad. And it is because of their discomfort with the US having gun violence/mass shootings. For being a world power the rates of gun violence are dismal but can it be compared to crime and violence in Nigeria? I don’t think so. In America we don’t fear terrorism much because it is rare. I am afraid of gun violence/mass shootings and police/State violence. In Nigeria I also had fear of terrorism, kidnappings, and armed robbery... then later learned if I return I’d also have to fear SARS/state violence Nigeria is ranked 16th most dangerous in the world and the United States is at 36 here... https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/most-dangerous-countries 2 Likes 1 Share |

Aconomist: I’ve been to both Lagos and NY... even though I only visited Manhattan there were areas that were quite dirty and not better looking than when I visited some parts of Victoria Island. You are showing a photo of aerial footage rather than your personal account so I’m guessing your answer is no, you haven’t been to the worst parts of New York to compare.... Any place can look good from aerial footage. Even Lagos. 1 Like

BLOODYSPERM: And I have to point out the irony in you, the male, who is supposedly so logical and not prone to emotion and sentimental outbursts, being the one in this exchange to use the degrading terms, to attempt to provoke, to call names, and not stick to the original topic. BLOODYSPERM: I didn’t say what I want. I pointed out how foolish it was for you to assert that no one discriminates against women after admitting women are particularly vulnerable to rape and violations men don’t face. Everything you’ve written is proof of the gender discrimination you say doesn’t exist. You don’t realize that? “Feminists” have fought to end limitations on women’s service and want women to be able to be considered equals on the battlefield. You’re complaining about loopholes so you have much in common with feminists who would ultimately like women and men to have equal requirements, access, and expectations in all fields. |

BLOODYSPERM: “There are 23 countries where the military draft is authorized but not currently implemented. An additional 60 countries – fewer than a third of the 191 for which Pew Research Center found reliable information – have some form of an active conscription program. At least 11 of the 60 countries with active conscription programs draft both men and women.” So the majority of military service is voluntary and men serve as a source of pride. Most wars do not invoke or require involuntary service. Even during wars where there have been drafts, non-drafted men are known to volunteer to serve. You literally just said women can’t be placed in combat positions because they would be raped and violated then the next line said no one discriminates against women. Lmao! Seek therapy. |

ShaqFu: So what is your point? That life is unfair and so women shouldn’t strive toward fairness? That because progress isn’t certain women shouldn’t aim for equal treatment? You’re not making sense. In times of war it’s women and children first in what circumstance? Women and children are often left behind and are usually casualties of war. it’s usually women and children who are the victims of murder, starvation, & rape. As far as military service it’s funny because in so many nations women have had to fight for the right to fight in the military, even in America it wasn’t until 2015 women were allowed to enter combat positions. When women do manage to join ranks with men, the men have been known to discriminate against the women in their ranks, often pushing them out. males see it as a privilege to be able to fight, most men volunteer to do so. Stop pretending otherwise. In any case, a woman should be able to do any job she qualifies for that she chooses to pursue. We needn’t be required to fight wars to prove we deserve equal opportunity. What an absurd argument. If a woman wants to be a doctor, engineer, or senator she should have equal rights and opportunities to reach those goals. |

Aconomist: I am just curious, how many visits have you made to the worst parts of New York? Or New York at all? Anyway, my point since you missed it, was to push back against the idea that there is something inherently wrong with Black people or Nigerians to be defensive when their home is criticized. |

Aconomist: I don’t care if they look like Lagos. And there are parts of those cities that do look worn down and underdeveloped... Americans can’t be compared to Nigerians as the histories and politics and culture are totally different so naturally the populations will face a different reality. BLOODYSPERM: Women can have emotional responses to changes in hormones but none that cause us to be irrational or illogical. As I pointed out men have a history of being violently illogical and testosterone is often a contributing factor for that. Estrogen requires comfort? I don’t even know what that means. But it doesn’t sound scientific... Women would need affirmative action in place because men like you exist and are already in places of power. When men like you have two eligible contenders for a position, one a man and one a woman, you believing that women are inferior in every way will not hire the woman. You will see her womanhood as disqualifying. You will see her degree not as evidence of her mental acuity but evidence she was able to memorize, right? Therefore to combat the system that has men placed in positions of power and leaving women to compete against their preconceived notions that harm our chances, legislation in place that rewards gender inclusion is vital. It’s not the actions of a few tyrants that led to generalizations. It’s annual statistics. The greatest purveyors of violence are men, in every culture in every nation. So let me get this straight. You began by saying that nature, science, and evolution made women inferior to men in every way. Then to escape the responsibility for the violence man has spread throughout the world with his superior leadership you now limit it to a few kings and claim men and women have always been EQUAL for the majority of history? Hmm, I thought equality amongst genders and equal treatment was against the laws of nature?? Anyway, you have a lot of pent up feelings about women. But no matter how much you tell yourself you are superior due to your appendage I can assure you it’s mere fantasy. And I think you know that which is why you devote so much time to trying to convince everyone of the opposite. Either way, just like it did (and still doing) in the West, progress will arrive and there’s nothing you can do about it 4 Likes 1 Share |

Jman24: ask New Yorkers why New York looks like a slum or ask why LA looks like a slum and you’d get the same defensive responses. This is not a Black thing or a Nigerian thing, humans get defensive over things/people/places that shape their identity. |

BLOODYSPERM: You use a lot of words to cover up for the fact that you don’t know what you’re talking about. Since English is my native language I’m not fooled by your tactic. I can identify gibberish when I’m reading it. Estrogen has not been shown to contribute or detract from ones ability to use logic. More lies. Also, it is more frequent for males to inflict violence on other males, females, and children because men have fewer neurons which allow for empathy. That is half the reason men are more likely to be violent or kill. the other half is just men getting angry easily and finding satisfaction in hurting others which is a byproduct of testosterone. The more testosterone one has, the more aggressive the person may be. Men often choose violence over logical responses. It is why men beat women rather than talk to them or find non-violent methods to communicate. That’s illogical. You literally make no sense saying women are more likely to exhibit groupthink and then go on to use religion as an example of that...!!! as if all major religions and religious wars haven’t been spread and fought by men respectively. As if men are not the leadership of all major religions. As if men won’t murder and burn a man to death over religion or behead a woman over religion Yes, that logical gender Hmm, there are few women inventors is evidence of female inferiority. Why are there so few African male inventors? Is it because African men are mentally inferior? If men like you truly felt that women were unable to compete and were actually inferior then the idea of a level playing field wouldn’t intimidate you. We’d fail by our own merits rather than systemic gender discrimination naked into society. Again you just say things to be provocative, just throw words together with no concern for facts. You want your thoughts to be true but deep down you know they aren’t. Just like you completely lied about the downfall of the Roman Empire you’re also misstating facts now. You say things that are easily disproved to the point of it being laughable. |

walkingshadow911: I can listen to a woman talk crap to me and never strike her and I’m a woman. How much more should a man who is responsible for a woman be able to practice self-control. That same man can let a police officer abuse him and speak to him anyhow and he won’t dare strike him, he can allow his mother to talk to him anyhow and never strike her. So he knows how to practice self-control when he wants and cannot therefore blame a woman’s mouth for his actions. He just chose to exert control over her with brute force because he is weak. It is not both of their faults. 1 Like 2 Shares |

BLOODYSPERM: The Western Roman Empire fell because politicians and rulers of Rome became more and more corrupt, there was an increase of traitors, infighting, and civil wars within the empire as as well attacks from barbarian tribes outside of the empire. The Roman empire became so large it was hard to govern and its army was also no longer the dominant force it once was. Some people also blame the arrival and growing popularity of Christianity for the decline... No serious person on Earth would blame “feminism”. None. Women are physically weaker than men as far as muscle, ability to exert force is concerned. We are not biologically, mentally, or intellectually weaker. evolution doesn’t state so, neither does any science, nor nature. |

ShaqFu: What does that mean are all the fingers equal? Are humans fingers? And which finger represents women and which represents men? Life isn’t fair, sure. So people in poverty should not work to have money. People shouldn’t protest corrupt government and police brutality, right? Because “dis life no balance”, right? Of course not. People can fight and work toward improvements. We need not settle for unfairness. Im not a feminist. But I do know that men aren’t superior to women. I don’t hate men, most women who see equality amongst genders don’t. You people who are afraid of the word equality try to project your hate for women onto “feminists”. sanpipita: Which part did the last paragraph invalidate? Nigerian men are not taught to value their fellow African woman. They are brainwashed to see African women as bottom barrel. And they treat them accordingly. They are taught to revere and prize all things white and so treat white women differently. In part the reason for that is the legal support and society the woman is raised in that eschews domestic violence. The other and larger part is in the broken mindset of the man. you’re right society affects the way men treat women. When Nigerian society begins to prioritize moral behavior and hold men accountable for their actions, things will improve. Society is made up of people, right? so the same people who teach their sons that women are solely created for their use is the same society that allows sexual harassment, domestic violence to occur unfettered. |

BLOODYSPERM: I know married women, especially African married women and I know singles. African women are suffering in marriage. Their husbands are often horrible, terrible people... that’s just the truth of it. And they stay only because they are expected to endure marriage and awful husbands. A woman who doesn’t have to enter such a thing is free. She can marry at anytime she chooses or if she chooses but doesn’t have to rush. She can take care of herself and family without the help of a man. Some men are afraid of such women because the more women who become financially independent the less women they will find who they can abuse... so those men prefer to fantasize these women secretly are miserable without husbands lol enjoy your fantasies lol. |

BLOODYSPERM: Rich men buy wives, too. You just said yourself that women practice hypergamy. Meaning women often choose a man based on what he has, his ability to provide. Most men seek to be rich so that they can afford the best woman/women. As I said, it’s not hard to find a man. A husband is easy to “achieve”. Rich women lose the desire for a husband because for most women marrying is a way to secure wealth. Once she has independent wealth, what purpose is marriage? She can enjoy men for their companionship while not marrying. A lot of women are completely miserable in marriage but stay due to dependence. Why would a rich woman hurry to be miserable? Your antiquated thinking sees a rich woman enjoying life but who isn’t married as pitiful. We in the real world see that as freedom. |

BLOODYSPERM: Are you really under the impression a rich woman can’t find a man? Lmao When a man in any Nigerian village will volunteer to be a rich woman’s slave just for a visa? C’mon. You’re not serious. As you said women practice hypergamy but once you are a rich woman the need to marry up is no longer relevant therefore reducing a woman’s “need” to marry. It also reduces the number of men eligible for her to marry if she’s looking to marry up. |

There is something wrong with men today: the ones who commit the acts and the ones who excuse them. I actually agree with him for the most part. Nigerian culture as it currently exists cannot accommodate feminism. Gender equality is at odds with how too many Nigerian men were raised. When you are raised to believe your maleness makes you superior to womankind, that women were created to serve you and revere you, of course the reality that you’ve been fed a lie will be resisted. The truth is that gender equality hurts Nigerian marriages because men are used to marrying women who marry them because of their lack of options. In the past women submitted out of fear, because of financial security and lack of education. Insecure men, who only feel superior due to their Instruments, cannot handle a woman who submits to them based on choice, contingent on his performance as a husband. It is true that Nigerian men use domestic violence as a way to control a woman. Because he is finding leading his home unbearable and he wasn’t trained properly how to lead with love. No one displayed to him what it means to be head. No one ever told him that a man is supposed to love his wife as his own body, to honor her as the weaker vessel. All he ever knew was the biblical quote about submission and never knew his responsibility was even greater, that he’s supposed to love in a Christ-like manner... A Nigerian man who is obsessed with proving his superiority would very much find a home where his wife doesn’t act as house help to be an abomination. To prove his superiority a Nigerian man might beats his wife to get her to submit because he is weak: he has lost control of his home and himself. A lot of Nigerian men claim they want women to be empowered and not a liability yet it is often the same group of men who hate the idea of gender equality. He’s right about sexual harassment. In Nigeria a superior can regularly sexually assault his female staff and he will never be called to task. Men feel free to harass women in Nigerian culture, even young girls, and fear no consequences. This is not a thing to be proud of, and labeling it “culture” makes your culture seem primitive. It interesting that he proudly says Black people don’t worship their women as whites do. Truthfully, let that African *man end up with a white woman, he will then begin worshipping. But y’all aren’t ready for that conversation... 3 Likes 1 Share |
