brownemmanuel43: How can feminists be blamed for irresponsible men refusing to marry the women they impregnate? Lol It’s a crumbling society where men are never held accountable for anything they do (as your comment displays) that makes these things more and more common. Men are no longer expected to be moral or responsible people. Why would they when there will always be a woman or witchcraft around to blame for a man’s actions. |

BLOODYSPERM: If I actually ask you to define in your own words what critical race theory is you couldn’t and it has nothing to do with my comments. Neither does “cultural Marxism”. The civil rights movement impacting the immigration act is factual, not open to debate. The way America made its wealth is also not a debate, it’s factual. You’re just dumb. And please stop following me around with your anti-feminist babble. I truly don’t care about your thoughts lol Fix your country, sir. Since you Nigerian men are so awesome fix your country. Demand some infrastructure, electricity, running water for all, paved roads, a transportation system, some competent leadership, free education. Worry about SARS. Worry about why all these superior Nigerian males are living in extreme poverty. Worry about why superior Nigerian men are dying in the sea to escape your country. Worry about these scammers, cultists, criminals in your country, sir. Fix your place, sir. Your focus on international affairs, Scandinavian nations, and what Black Americans are doing is a waste. Put your energy into repairing your country. since you aren’t a victim I’m sure you won’t blame government or neocolonialism. Place your focus on your broken nation, sir. Don’t worry about what we’re doing over here. |

AgentGoat: If she wants to ask she can ask. There are plenty of men who don’t mind... Different people have different relationship expectations. Some men think women should no longer expect men to provide. Some women think men should no longer expect women to submit or do house chores. Choose a mate who agrees with your philosophy and allow others to do the same. Thanks! |

TMKsouth: Yeah, I didn’t mean to suggest that all Black South Africans are not doing well or haven’t found success... just that when South Africans are complaining of poverty and the very real barriers to access still present or discussing immigrant crime, i have seen Nigerians be dismissive about the struggles and accomplishments of Black South Africans the same way they do with us. It’s funny you mentioned doctors because they do the same exact thing here: claiming they are like 70% even 80% of existing Black doctors in America! smh 1 Like |

1Sharon: No, those countries have different colonial histories. The people who live in those places in large part are the people from countries that were once colonies of those nations, save Canada/Russia. They have specific programs, incentives that allow their subjects to immigrate there. Did you not know that You don’t have an America without African Americans. Without our labor there would be literally be no wealth for America to exist let alone become a world power. Its wealth was made off the backs of my ancestors’ labor. So yeah, without African Americans there would be no America for Africans to come to. And without the work of African Americans to make America a place that isn’t totally hostile and dangerous to Black people, few Africans would want to come here as evidenced by the fact that y’all weren’t immigrating much at all until the 80’s after we secured some basic rights for Black people. And it was on the backs of the Civil Rights Movement/Act (where African Americans fought and died) that the immigration act of 1965 was passed, undoing restrictive race based quotas that limited African immigration... “It was with the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 that the federal government radically altered immigration policy, opening America’s doors to the world after decades... a shift that historians say happened in part because of a hunger for change and equality created by the civil rights movement” https://apnews.com/article/5b3a2295a46c4a408f04f7adf50b315f The 1965 act has to be understood as a result of the civil rights movement, and the general effort (of African Americans) to eliminate race discrimination from U.S. law, says Gabriel “Jack” Chin, immigration law professor at University of California, Davis https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.history.com/.amp/news/immigration-act-1965-changes This is all easy history to grasp if you ever read a US history book, even a chapter, even one meant for a third grader. Martinelli35: The first ask was hasty depending on how long you guys were in this period of hour long conversations. If you were going on like that for a month or two then a week into something official is not that hasty but if you’d only known her a couple weeks then it’s a fast ask. You’ve only given two instances without saying how long you’ve been dating... for example: if you’re together for 6 months and she’s come to you about money twice then that is no big deal. If she’s also considering you for marriage she’s probably expecting you to be a provider and so when dating she will test your ability to provide and your level of generosity. keep in mind that a woman wanting her man to pay for stuff doesn’t mean she doesn’t have money. If she’s saying she’s broke, though, that could possibly be a red flag suggesting that she doesn’t manage money well or she’s just pretending to be broke to get you to cover the expenses 5 Likes |

9jaRealist: I’m not even African and I was made fun of for being African. Later I was made fun of for being Haitian and Jamaican (which I’m also not). Guess what, that’s what kids do. Make stupid jokes. When my son went to school in Nigeria he was also teased for his accent and for not being able to pronounce Yoruba words properly... it’s not anti-Black it’s just childhood The anti-Blackness African people exhibit *in adulthood* toward Black Americans, completely unprovoked is not on par with childhood name calling. Black Americans don’t teach our kids bad things about African people or warn our kids not to hang out with African kids the way African people will admit to being told by their parents... Other than that I agree with you completely that the divisions are counterproductive. But I’m gonna defend my people against anti-Black ignorant attacks regardless 2 Likes |

Dobodobo04: What makes you think no Black people live in the countries you named? And what are the Nigerians doing in those countries? Because when I go to China they want to be sure I’m not Nigerian or else they will think I’m a prostitute, scammer, or drug dealer. Why is that reputation left behind in those countries you named You find mindless killings amongst whites in America as well. And you find high rates of crime where overtly persists, just look at Nigeria as an example of that. Worry about your country where Black people are in charge and still can’t make the country function rather than looking down on Black people who are minorities in a country they were once enslaved in. Are we really going to pretend your “African culture” has marriages that are things to uphold as good examples? The high rates of domestic violence, marital rape, second wives, and outside kids? Where you summon the elders and they tell a woman to go back to her abusive husband? High rates of adultery and child abuse? Thinking beating and slapping children is good parenting? Hmmm... ok. And while you make fun of AA names why do you think your multisyllabic names are superior I am not immature enough or ignorant enough to start imitating your names. but if you think anyone considers your 5-6 syllable names to be less primitive than our ethnic names, you’re living a fantasy. LoL Of course you people worship whites. You bleach your skin, the capital of skin bleaching, because you love whites. You post pics of a blonde white Jesus all over social media even as whites themselves have moved to acknowledging a more brown skinned man. You come to the Us and try to become white so much you adopt hatred of the Black people here. Your types are a sad sad bunch. |

slyfoxxjoe: The truth of the matter is that Black Americans have made the country a place where Black immigrants can now come and expect a chance at success. that’s why Africans weren’t coming over here like this during the 1920’s-30’s when other immigrants were coming or even in the 60’s waves of migrations. They came after Black Americans did the fighting and came to enjoy the privileges of being immigrants and did as much as they could to remove themselves from the Black Americans who paved the way. If Nigerians have the hunger you described why would they continue to vote for useless politicians each election cycle? How come Nigerians don’t return to Nigeria and transform it? Where is evidence of this hunger seen in the overall population? When it’s Nigerians failing you blame the government and leadership but when Black Americans point to government for our less than equal conditions you all dismiss that and join white people in calling us lazy and complacent. Those same white people who say African countries like Nigeria are in such a state because you all are lazy or unintelligent. 3 Likes |

stayclearofme: In Nigeria Black people commit the most homicide. In Nigeria Black people kill more Black people than Whites kill Black people... so does that mean Nigerians are wicked and evil? If you understand proximity & know anything about the US, you would know most of America is segregated. Criminals operate based on what is close to them https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-6.xls Based on FBI data, 2600 of the 3300 white ppl killed in the US were killed by white people. 2600 of the 2900 Black people killed were killed by Black people. Black murderers kill Black people because they are in proximity to them. White murderers kill white people because they are in proximity to them. That’s the nature of segregation + crime. https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/tables/table-43 More FBI data: Of total criminal offenses black people (also it doesn’t list African criminals separate from Black Americans lol) were responsible for 26.6% of crimes. 36.4 percent of total violent crime. Even with homicide Black people are responsible for 51.2% of those. Not this overwhelming number you are suggesting. And those account for the smallest number, around 7000 victims. It must be said: Black Americans don’t like you because you’re a judgmental stereotyping fool. We can sense when someone is looking down on us and no one will like a person like that. Your judgment is beclouded by the fact that you are a Nigerian. That is why you can’t see how ridiculous it is for any Nigerian to call anyone names when the names the entire world has for you outweighs anything you can say about us. Lmao. The irony. I see you’re offended by the accent comment. So that is why you are upset, right? Someone made fun of your accent and you’ve called Black Americans heartless ever since hahaha Get over yourself. And I know your type, smiling in our faces like you are one of us while hating us all the while. Truly despicable. 1 Like |

codemaniacs: Black Americans are anything but passive or comfortable... We fight for more rights and equal rights regularly. I’ve even seen Africans saying we are too obsessed with race because we are constantly fighting against discrimination. And we suffer from generational effects of racism unlike Black immigrants who are leaving their country and starting over, escaping generational poverty. Similar to how in South Africa, Nigerians are able to immigrate and do better than Black South Africans because you aren’t suffering generational effects of having no rights... If Nigerians are so much better than us and so great then why can’t they succeed in Nigeria? Why must they come to the US? Why haven’t they transformed Nigeria? stay and make Nigeria great rather than coming to the US where Black Americans have done all the work and built all the structures and changed all the policy. Especially if you only come to look down on us and judge us. Why not remain in Nigeria? surely your non-passive, non-comfortable nature can have Nigeria being amongst the wealthiest nations... 1 Like |

stayclearofme: You don’t even know the history of the country you’re living in. Read a book, dummy. You’re a guest here and able to enjoy it because Black Americans fought for equal access & equal treatment. After Black Americans marched, bled, and died for Black people’s rights through the 70’s Africans began soon migrating during the 80’s, practically not at all before that. Once minimal rights were gained then you all started showing up. In fact America itself is a product of Black labor, the wealth created was on my ancestor’s backs. You wouldn’t have a place to escape from your country to without our struggles. So, you’re welcome. Now show some appreciation. |

doxijaw: There is plenty to emulate and that’s why it’s emulated by African and everyone else. We create pop culture and have done so for decades. And people manage to imitate us while hating us. I hope you people can do better than stereotyping a whole group of people knowing you will cry when a nation is discriminating and hating you due to your nationality. Black people should wake up and unite rather than sowing divisions and hatred based on nationality. But unfortunately some cultures are too busy admiring & worshipping whites to have any mind to do that. |

codemaniacs: Incorrect. Immigration for Africans began to increase after the Civil Rights Movement/Act. Black immigrants rode our coattails, watched us struggle for access, then came to take advantage of our gains... and did so while apparently looking down on us the whole time. That’s the worst part of it. If America stealing your resources allowed for you to immigrate here you’d be able to get a visa on arrival like the countries America respects. Nigerians have to go through hell to get approved, you have no special status. America continued to take your resources and banned Nigerian immigration in the last administration. Don’t be delusional and don’t be unappreciative. You’re right, the stereotypes that are globally attached to Nigerians damage all Black people. People aren’t going around looking down on Black people in China because of Black American’s reputation but because of Nigerian’s reputation. In fact when I’m abroad and they find out I’m American they respect me. When they think I may be Nigerian they are suspicious. So all this looking down on people who are Black American is funny because at this point in reality Nigerians have worse reputations than what is spread about us. Yet people feel totally comfortable pushing stereotypes about us while their reputation is much worse. 2 Likes |

Lol if your culture is experiencing social ills because of music then I’d have to wonder how strong can a culture be if simple music can destroy it and influence behavior.
