So sorry about the ugly experience today. I can imagine sitting for such a test on an empty stomach. Hunger ordinarily gives me headache, how much more when I have to squeeze out information from the already gasping brain.

I pray it comes out well in 13 days cos 68k is no joke in this era.

What of someone with bsc, but no job experience?
You need at least 1 year of full time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work experience), among others to be eligible for FSW. Kindly visit this page to know more.

Its not a funny something at all. I've been on this NOC code thing for over a month now and wanted to make sure I have done all I can before reaching out. I'm considering dropping it and using my previous job role but I'm not sure how to go about that. I worked on the job from 2009 to early 2014. Is it possible to ignore my most recent job and use an older one?

PS: I be "she" ooo smiley.
Sure it is. You are at liberty to choose which of your jobs you'd want to claim points for.

Look at 7202 Contractors and supervisors, electrical trades and telecommunications occupations and then work your way around to find any other one that is more suitable. Ensure the lead statement as well as the listed duties aligns with your overall work experience.
Nne ehn, I went through that 7202 several times yesterday but couldn't muster up enough courage to suggest it. It's the closest to his stated roles though but stresses on performing those duties while interfacing with staff rather than contractors. I hope it gets the nod

@ the below, this is a bit confusing, are you saying his two experiences must be above 1 year and continuous to be used? this statement is somewhat contradictory or i am reading it wrong angry
No ma'am. By that, I mean either of the two can be his primary NOC while the other is used to get him up to his desired 3 years of work experience.

Turns out I've been deceiving myself on my CRS score all this time. I was stating my work experience as 3 or more years having worked for 4.5years. I just realized the experience has to be related to the particular NOC I am claiming. I only have 2.5 years experience there (NOC 1111). My other 2 years work experience is in Banking. This reduced my CRS by 25 points to 430. What are my odds with this score?
You haven't been deceiving yourself brother. Your 455 is still intact. You can use both NOCs if they both fall under the required categories (0, A or B). Each one exceeds the minimum 1 year, continuous... requirement.

Thank you. I'm a little cautious because my degree is in English Literature and Masters in International Affairs and Strategic Studies. I don't have any degree in communications or marketing . All I have is The work experience in public relations . The qualification required in 0124 is for
---- A university degree or college diploma in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or in a related field and Several years of experience in an advertising, public relations or communications officer position or in a related occupation are required.

Also I was looking at 1123 but the qualification stated is for

---- A university degree or college diploma in business marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, museology or a discipline related to a particular subject matter is usually required.

Please advice on choosing the best NOC for me
I think 1123 is also good. The final decision would be yours to make from here.
It is also noteworthy that your degree discipline isn't taken into consideration when choosing a suitable NOC, only your experience counts.

Funny enough, a friend of mine living in the UK, shared that same twitter news with me this morning. Someone I'd been encouraging to leave his uncertain status there in the UK to come live the Canadian dream as a PR and subsequently as a citizen in half the number of years he has spent in the UK without a reasonable footing. I was disappointed at his audacity to try to dissuade me from this beautiful opportunity. My reply to him below:

Reply 1: This lady just spewed thrash right there my brother. If she knows not, let her indicate that she knows not and then be taught.

No fewer than 15 of my close friends, colleagues and ex colleagues have been in various provinces in Canada on PR visa and boy, these guys are living the Canadian dream. Did they face challenges upon arrival? Yes! Did they have to work real hard on fitting into the system? Absolutely! Do they wish to return back to their 500k-700k jobs in Nigeria? Not in this life or the next.

Being a happy Canadian PR through express entry transcends just landing a "fantastic" job. Why didn't the poster make mention of the efficiently functional system that makes a mess of what we are used to back home? As far as I'm concerned, the poster is being grossly negative. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to become a citizen of a G8 country where your future and that of your children is well accounted for while coming from a third world country that is bereft of hunger, crime, poverty, crass corruption, failed judicial and political system, hyperinflation, high unemployment rate, epileptic to zero power, nonexistent transportation system, abuse of human rights, unsure future for the kids of today to name but a few. This is utter madness and a myopic line of thought to say the least. I believe this ill-informed poster should keep shut and learn the basics first.

In summary, she can choose to stay back and continue to provide herself with electricity, security, water, good education, etc. while those who wish to go and "suffer" in Canada suit themselves

Reply 2: One thing people like the poster fail to understand is that you don't just walk into an efficient system that's a far cry from your prior orientation and fit in seamlessly. There has to be some degree of struggle but it differs from person to person.

You know what? Unlike where we come from, the system is ever ready to support you, recognize and reward your struggles. Did you know that a person earning the Canadian minimum wage would lead a very normal life with a decent apartment and small car, depending on his/her propensity to spend/save?

I have NEVER seen any Canadian PR from Nigeria that I know to be hardworking, smart and determined that isn't living very comfortably in Canada. The least of them earns about $Bleep per annum but had to start with a $Bleep per annum job. It wasn't the same with the others I know.

If anyone seeks my advise, I'd tell them to grab Canada with both hands immediately until we get it right as a country. I wish I could have some time aside with that poster sha. She obviously needs to be schooled a bit
Just know that people who are too scared to take this leap need some level of comforting justification for their faint heartedness by trying to cajole YOU and ME into settling for less. Of course, less in this context couldn't have been Canada.
