Maise: Good evening everyone. I just got my ppr for express entry, please which visa processing centre is faster bekayy: A huge congratulations to you.
If you submit in Abuja or Lagos. They send it to Accra and that takes about a month to come back.
Congrats. May the land favour you. Accra appears to be slow lately. A number of passports they received as at May 18 are yet to have counterfoils generated for them. You may want to explore other options, like Nairobi |

Adedolapo2021: Please what's the difference between "Counterfoil" and "COPR? Counterfoil is the sticker that is placed in a person's passport to show that they have met the requirements for admission to Canada while CoPR is a document issued when an immigrant is approved for permanent residence in Canada. You need these two to enter Canada as a PR |

Qwertyuser: Thankfully, CBN just denied. We hope it remains denied for a while In my opinion, don't trust that thing CBN said with all your heart. We have learnt over time that these supposed rumors often sneak their ways into reality. It's even possible that they intentionally snuck that piece of information out to test the waters for what is to come.
Brace up for the worst possible scenario. |

Most of the people I know that submitted even in October, got PPRs in January and February. You may want to order GCMS notes to see if there are any anomalies in your application.
Going by the current timeline trends, yours is aready taking too long. |

Silversurfer1: Hi guys. I apologize if this question has been asked several times before. I tried searching for the answer but I didn't see it. Is there an expiry date for work reference letters? If you've left a job and got a reference from it like 2 or more years ago, will it be accepted if you submit it for your application now? Thanks 4 years and 2 months passed from when I received my work reference letter to when I used it. No issues at all.
Edit: You need to ensure that you have just enough years of work experience (in the last 10 years from submission date) to fetch you the required points |

tshtsh: In 2021 while waiting for my application processing to be completed I came to realize that the govt deals with numbers. The EE program started in 2015 and as with any new program the early applicants made it through with consistent bi-weekly draws/less competition which saw 430s get an ITA. Today the express entry program has gone past its early phase and is now very competitive with the government now at will to change the bar at anytime without any communication. I used the word change the bar because when I was waiting for ITA they made changes that granted additional 50 points to bilingual applicants. This pushed up the scores to 478. Prior to that CECs were granted an edge with the 27,000 ITAs issued in 2021 which even saw a CEC applicant with a score below 100 get an ITA while applicants with 465s remained spectators. May the hardwork of all intending immigrants via this program come to fruition. The program is now very competitive and if scores remain above 481 then one will need a connection to canada (sibling points, canadian work experience or canadian education) to qualify for EE. I admire your lines of thought. You couldn't have put it any better than this. |

Phabulous93: Hello House, Please I need some advice. I’m an ITA hopeful and currently in the pool with a score of 484. However my IELTS expires in January, 2023 (test date-23rd of Jan, result date -3rd of Feb)
My first question- in calculating expiration date of IELTS, which date is used? Test date or result date?
Secondly, I recently had a baby (ending of August) and his passport isn’t likely to be ready before my IELTS expires, meaning that in the event that we get an ITA, I may have to submit our application without his passport in order to beat my IELTS expiration date. Is it advisable to do this? I intend to include an LOE saying that his passport isn’t ready and will be added later.
Or do I write another IELTS? (I really don’t want to because of the cost + stress ) My current IELTS band is 8.5 overall and I’ll have to maintain that score to keep my current CRS score.
P.S: This is in the hope and belief that we will get invited before mid January at least.
Please advise. Thanks - I believe IELTS validity is calculated from the result date. - If your newborn's passport isn't ready before the 60 days elapses, you may include an LoE, alongside any other proof that processing of travel document is already underway. However, you must raise a webform to submit it as soon as it is received |
