I'm at the NOUN building in VI and I was making enquiries, trying to be coy and not state the real reason why I am not really sure of the exact course my brother wants to do. The lady didn't even let me finish, she say 'It's for Canada abi? He can do any programme". I was shooketh. See the receptionist laughing at me. cry

Please has anyone used mutual benefit life insurance policy contribution as POF
You can use it. I would've used it myself if I'd received an ITA before mine matured some weeks ago. My friend (who marketed it to me 5 years ago) worked there, he used his policy certificate alongside T-Bills and pension contribution as PoF. Now the young man says hello from the other side.

Congrats to all those who aced their ielts. Didn't ace it again at my 3rd attempt...

Truth is your sadness doesn't change anything. It will end in praise!
With eyes on the ultimate goal, you will surmount these obstacles.

Good day all,

I got a very disappointing result for my ielts.
I am really sorry for the disappointing result. It isn't over yet my dear, I believe you can do it again (and even better). Brace up and register for the next like nothing ever happened. Stay strong. This phase shall be over if we keep at it diligently.

@GlitteringStar, babe I think this deserves a place on page 0 maybe as "Benefits of pre-arrival programs".

And so the PM also get scared. Can someone allay it please. So i evaluated my Bsc ignorantly with IQAS last year without knowing i could actually add ATS if its evaluated by WES and get 2 or more certificate.Because of the strike and process coupled with advise on here i decided to go ahead and evaluate only my ATS with WES.Double money tho'.I am about to send my transcript to them.

With Mcstan18 post that it should be one body,i am a little bit apprehensive about using both WES and IQAS as two or more certificates. Although i was advised here that there are actually two place holders for evaluation where i can input both WES and IQAS backed with a LoE.Going through the process of evaluating my Bsc is not an option now but i need to improve my score which stands at 435 at the moment.

Should I go ahead and set a precedent or has it been done before?

Kindly advise your PM. grin grin
No oga PM. That response only addressed Omodadi2's inquiry. It wasn't stated as a general rule. I can recall saying "I think you should..." It would've cost him more (in time and money) to evaluate with those 2 bodies, without yielding any better result than using 1. You should go ahead with what you've planned sir.

hello guys, you are really doing a great job here. Please i would want to know my chances with this express entry route.
1. WES evaluated my degree as a 4 years bachelors in Engineering.
2. Did IELTS although academics had 7.5 band however im looking forward to writing General.
3. 3 years post NYSC work experience.
4. 27 years of Age.
5. Gift deed is possible for POF.
6. Single.

Kindly peruse my profile and profer your opinion on my chances of getting ITA.
You stand a good chance if you max out IELTS (General module) scores. I think CRS would hover around the 440s. Read up from page 0 to know more

Pre-evaluatiion link is on WES site.
I don't think that their link really matters much. I know of someone whose institution wasn't listed there, (I barely even know the school) but is currently having her credential evaluated. Best bet is contacting them directly on social media. Heard they respond faster there.

About boarding the express entry pool.

I read somewhere that the PA needs sign-up with job bank after boarding into the pool. I stand to be corrected as I may not be correct.

I will however appreciate if I can be enlightened on all job bank entails (as it affects the PA and accompanying spouse). Thanks
I think you should focus more on writing IELTS and evaluating your academic credentials. You do not need anything job bank to become an eligible EE applicant

House, I want your clarifications on whether or not, an accompanying spouse could alongside the PA sign-up with Job Bank or is Job Bank sign-up exclusive to the PA?
What exactly do you need job bank for? What stage of the process are you at?

Yea, I used the date written on her OND certificate but it didn't fly because she started her internship before that date. We will just focus on me being the PA. IELTS will surely give way. Thanks.

Maybe you should try what GlitteringStar suggested. At least, it'll help set particular precedence and put our doubting minds at peace.

i need your inputs guys....
I quickly skimmed part 1 of this thread and read a portion that said 67 out of 100 is needed for PPR. Please, i have assessed myself, there is no way i could exceed 60 let alone 67.......since i do not have study or work history in Canada. Please tell me, how else do one boost or can boost this score to 67 with any links in canada previously. Thank you
You neither have to have studied nor have a work history in Canada to be eligible. Most of us here don't. You can check your eligibility HERE.

I think you should use one ECA report from an (IRCC designated) assessing body. It won't even cost you extra to assess both with, say WES

...Strange as it may sound, perhaps the greatest tool you have during the IELTS speaking is lying. Lie freely and unsparingly. Build as many fancy castles as you can easily follow up on as long as it allows you to be moderately consistent. But you have to practice with this in order to do it well on the exam day.

Good luck.
This point is really key to acing an IELTS speaking test albeit one must've practiced or perfected the art of free-flow speaking. Do not stutter! It piles the pressure on you. Yes, the information you give doesn't necessarily have to make perfect sense as IELTS NEVER tests veracity of any such information. So I get flummoxed when people say they could only speak for 30seconds because the subject of discourse was alien to them. Just speak on fellow, but don't talk gibberish!

I quipped sometime ago that if rapture had happened after my speaking test, I knew I was going nowhere near the sky. Thank God I had another chance to amend. It can happen now, no worries cheesy

@mcstan18, @glitteringstar, @newmum0615

Recall we had a deliberation around using a year paid internship as a year work experience, it was actually for my spouse. Ontario's issuance of NOI to candidates with CRS as low as 351 in their last draw prompted me to create a profile for her to see if we could get an NOI because her paid internship was in an IT role. I've just created the profile but it returned ineligible and the simple reason was because the date she commenced her internship precedes the date her certificate was issued (date qualified to practise in that field).

Just thought I should share this information because of those who might be in same shoe now or in future.

Hakuna Matata
Thank you for sharing this outcome. So that summarily implies that paid/unpaid internship while still studying does not count as valid work experience under express entry.

How's the wait for IELTS bro?

My guy just warned me against wishing him a happy birthday 18 days time. According to him, there'd be nothing to cheer about losing 5 divine points. How could he be celebrating such blow to his Canadian dream? He'd be landing on 437 by 20th anyway. The irony is that same guy celebrated last year with a car and plenty owambe noise.
