While filling Post ITA, I selected by correspondence, so there’s no space for Uk PCC but I still want to attach an LOE as my ECA report states UK as country of Study. My question is under what folder will I upload the LOE?

There's a placeholder that stands alone underneath the others. It states that you should upload any other documents or letters of explanation, where necessary. You may click on the help icon after the placeholders to know what each requires of you.

Good evening fellas, please I need all the information I can get on CIMA, and I will appreciate if anyone could help with some. cheers

You need to be more specific about what you want, else you'd hardly get a response. I can however confirm to you that WES evaluates the certificate you obtain by passing the first four papers of CIMA favourably. That'll fetch you points for two or more certificates when combined with any other post secondary diploma certificate (or higher) that you have.

I need help clarifying something, Ednut and others in the house; Is it everyone in the pool that gets invited?
Example; 15,000 having 475-470( will invites be sent to all 15,000 people before they move to 470-465. I will appreciate anyone that has advice on this. Thank you.

Invitations are sent on a first come first served basis to the highest scoring applicants, with a cap on the intended number of invitations per round. For example, if IRCC intends to issue 4,000 invitations, they start counting from the highest grossing CRS points in the pool at the time of the draw and then count down to the 4,000th applicant.

However, if more than one applicant has the same CRS score at the 4,000th rank, then the application that was submitted the earliest among them would get invited while the rest remain in the pool for another round of draws.

I hope you understand this

Hello guys. I appreciate the loads of work put in here. Especially on the first page.

I'm trying to read up but have difficulty understanding most of the abbreviations used here. If someone can point me to any comment in the thread that says what these abbreviations are, I'll really appreciate that.

Thank you.

Same thread but different parts.
The same savage people

To be fair, that response wasn't savage (enough). The reason everyone skipped your question is because it is the most basic thing anyone should know about the Express Entry system. To think that you've known this thread for 2 years yet unable to use the CRS calculator makes it all the more disappointing for your level of experience.

Someone here (and in the other parts) took their time to painstakingly gather information for page 1 so that as much possible, this would be an ideal go-to D-I-Y page. Your response won't be much of an encouragement for all their efforts.

You still need to study page 1

It wasn’t stated. I’m thinking if the last 6 months before my resignation would be okay

On this journey, there's hardly a "one size fits all" way of tackling issues. Just provide (at least) the minimum required information and you're good.

If I were you, I'd do a carefully drafted LoE detailing your apparent difficulty in obtaining an all-inclusive reference letter from your employer. You may then attach bank statements with highlights on salary inflows. These should largely be consistent in payer's name, value and payment dates to be more convincing. This way, I do not think a processing officer would harshly penalize you for your effort. Worse case scenario, you'd get an ADR requesting for specific documents to clarify a few grey areas (if any sef).

A happy-ever-after ending for everyone grin

Hi guys, my reference letter from my previous employer doesn’t contain my annual salary as requested by IRCC. Will this fly or do or what do I need to do?

If it is stated that your job was paid, then i suggest you include a few (random) months' payslips. That way, your evidence will be more persuasive. However, if you can persuade your HR to issue a more befitting letter, then that'd be much better.

Hi everyone,
Do you recommend adding payslips, contracts, tax forms for Express Entry foreign work experience proof or reference letter only is okay?

Reference letter only is fine, if it contains all the information required. It also won't be a bad idea to fling in one or two months' payslip(s), but the contracts and tax forms appear to be an overkill. Except of course you are an entrepreneur.

Pls someone should help me, my Wes was in 2019 only BSC, I want to add my masters degree to it, if accessed, will it still expire in 2024, who those if unilag sends transcript through mail? Pls help

If you choose any of the upgrade options, you will receive a new reference number specific to your upgrade order. This is because each upgrade is treated as a new credential evaluation. The implication of this is that your document expiry is extended to another 5 years, from the date of the new ECA.

Thanks for your response. However, it seems u can only pay upfront or when IRCC contacts you only. No indication of payment at any other time

Well, I can't tell for sure. Best bet is to pay during submission. Besides, if I were your reviewing officer, I'd likely consider deducting those fees from your submitted PoF amount and if it falls below the minimum required amount, send an ADR for updated PoF. You don't want to be caught up in that web of delays

Please how long does it take to get one. I've only one week left to submit . The public holiday has stolen one day off it undecided

It's an instant card but you must have an existing domiciliary account with the bank. Opening one would take you about 24 hours if you have the necessary docs. Give or take, in less than 2 days, you should have your card in your hand

Please can I pay for SINP using a virtual dollar card? Such as Geegpay online card? My UBA dollar card is soo useless. Ive gone to the bank several times to complain but they seem unable to troubleshoot it. It keeps saying "Card is restricted, please contact your bank". I wonder what could probably be restricting a card I had just recently acquired - less than two months undecided

I use Access gold (Visa) dollar card and it's been an awesome experience so far. I've never had any payment declined, even on the IRCC portal. This is my experience, yours may be different but I think it is worth a try

When she was filling the EE form, where they asked if she has a relation in canada, she picked yes. But she doesnt really have a direct relation. But her husband has a sibling who is a PR. Still in the form, they asked if her spouse has a relation, she said YES. She scored 387. Now she is thinking of editing her own side to No becuase she doesnt have a close relation in Canada. How can she change the answer or what do you advise so she will not have problem with IRCC.

There is no added point advantage for both parties having siblings in Canada over just one person having a sibling. It's the same 15 points you get, (I think). So she can go ahead with the edit, even though I'm struggling to come to terms with the section that requires this.

The questions usually come in the form "Do you or your spouse have a sibling who is... blah blah blah?"

OPINION NEEDED

 Work experience
1. Dec 2016 - June 2020 (3yrs, 7months)
2. February 2021 - till Date (1yrs, 8months)
The same NOC (Teaching)
Total = 5yrs 3month

 Masters Degree March 2017 - September 2018.

NB. I did master during the time i was on my first job and
In my Express Entry profile, I already used the first job to claim maximum point under work experience and i did not bother to include the second job since i already have more than 3years in the first job.

My fear now is that,

hope the VO won't calculate the time i used for Masters and deduct it from the 3yrs thereby rendering it ineligible to claim maximum point.
should i just add the second job in the profile if my first fear come through?.

I'm asking this because I'm on 492 and chance of ITA this month or November is high.

i appreciate response from Experts here.

I do not think you have anything to worry about if your supporting documents provide the relevant information. That is; your reference letter clearly stating that you worked full time for the minimum required number of hours and duration, in addition to your ECA stating that your certificate is comparable to a completed Canadian post-secondary certificate.

If you may, kindly confirm if your masters was online. There seems to be an overlap with your first job

Hello Team,

I have a question, I recently received my COPR and thinking of getting married before travelling.
What will be the best approach here?
Is there anyone who has gone through the same thing recently i.e. updating IRCC of change in status and submitting extra documents. How long did the process take?
Any and every information is appreciated.
Thanks.

ednut1 has already answered your question. You may also read this elaborate POST for a clearer picture of what to expect.

Hi guys
So in my travel history, I arrived Shanghai, China in September 2013 where I studied for a year.I was still 17 at that time.I reached 18 by February 2014.And I left Shanghai permanently to another city(Xuzhou) in August 2014.
I studied in Xuzhou till 2020 and I have done my PCC for Xuzhou. My question is do I still need to do PCC for when I was at Shanghai given I was under 18 for half the time I was there?

If you live outside China
The application process differs from city to city. Ask your local office how to apply. Most places in China will let you appoint a representative to apply for a police certificate on your behalf. They’ll need

-their national ID card
-a signed notarized authorization letter from you
-their original permanent residence registration (hukou) booklet
-all of your required documents.

You may read more about PCC for PRC HERE

Please, in the section on the Additional Family Information Form, is it compulsory to state siblings, will not stating them now affect their chances of claiming a relationship in the future?

It is expected of an applicant to disclose every information required of them. If you do not state a sibling in the required section, you will be unable to sponsor them to Canada at anytime in the future. I don't think you have anything to lose by declaring.

Good Evening. So I'm married and I'm still using my maiden name on my passport but my NIN is my martial surname. I'm trying to apply for PCC online and when creating an account ,as i entered my NIN, my martial surname pops up meaning that my PCC would be in that surname which is different from my passport. kindly advice. Do i change my NIN back to my maiden name?

There's the option of offline PCC. I'd suggest that you explore that rather than face the struggles of name changes. The offline version PCC is still very much in use and acceptable by IRCC, so you have nothing to worry about.
