boco2126: My people, good morning. We are filling out our express entry profile but the CRS score I see is very low compared to all we have been simulating since we started this journey. Could this be some error? Work experience is 4 years, work hours is 40 per week. POF is CAD19500 (we know it is less than this) for a family of 3. IELTS is 8,8.5,7.5,7 for LRSW. ECA Report came out as Bachelors Degree (4years) and 1 year post graduate diploma, so I chose the option of Bachelor's degree or three years post secondary school ish (or something like that) as there was no two or more certificate on the drop down. Age is below 30.
What is the issue as the CRS score is 409 and I am shook! Somebody help me please. Hi. It is 409 because you selected Bachelors degree as your highest level of education. Just below that you'd see the "two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees..." option. WIth that, your CRS score should be a little above 440 which isn't bad. You may also wish to boost your chances at getting an ITA by having your spouse complete her/his ECA or IELTS |

emmadeking: What necessitated my question was because someone said in few pages back that we should be careful of the courses we opt for in PGD in order to get a favourable evaluation during ECA, hence, my asking if Peace studies and conflict resolution is cool I don't think your course of study matters. At least I haven't seen any case that suggests otherwise.
There's someone I knew from the university that studied Igbo linguistics and went on to do a PGD because she made a 2:2 with the intention of running a masters program in the same department afterwards. You can't imagine the surprise when I ran into her and she told me she used that same PGD to claim points for 2 or more certificates. She got ITA with a CRS score of 437, got PPR and CoPR and was only shopping for her landing stuff at the time we met at Marina. Your question just reminded me of her.
You should proceed with your ECA. |

joo2018: So from a logistic point of view, it makes sense for such a target driven organization to prioritize applications that will bring the best returns. Regardless of the fact that this isn't a proven and conclusive scenario, I would agree with the analysis, given the premise (efficient resource allocation) and assumptions considered in arriving at the results. Well done |

laghopeful20181: Good Morning Everyone! Happy New Year!! I think 443 is good enough to get you an ITA within a short time. Besides, you may also choose to select the 2 or more certificates option for your spouse with that ECA. Choosing to apply with spouse unaccompanying should be a last resort when there's very little or no hope left. I think there's plenty of hope with 443. |

Tojued: Try this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1003&top=29
If it doesn't work, follow your heart (or head) on whether to decline, write LOE, raise CSE etc. I just checked with a friend who hasn't submitted and it worked. However, the name on the pre-ITA form won't change, so he would need to do an LoE explaining the reason for the difference in names on either form.

soulhighman: Hi everyone. Please I am filling my post ITA form now and found out I have made a silly mistake while filling my profile. I filled only my first name in the personal details section and didn't include my middle name instead of writing it exactly as it appears on my passport. Now, I've been trying to correct that, and it appears impossible. My middle name appears in every of my documents.
Should I proceed like that and just add an LOE or decline the ITA.
N:B. My CRS score is 450 and if I get another ITA, I can submit under two weeks or even one week. If I were you, I'd simply decline for the following reasons: 1. The instruction stated that you enter the names as they appear on your travel document. What you have on your profile doesn't meet that requirement 2. Your CRS score is good and should fetch you ITA probably at the next round of draws 3. Just so you can sleep well with both eyes closed after your application is submitted.
This is only my submission as there's hardly a precedent on the contrary that'll give the desired comfort. I'd just do it right, but the decision is yours to make. |

anybody with similar experience should kindly share. Thanks in advance You should probably delete or modify your third question. Such things aren't allowed here. I would expect that you know that this a public forum where you need to be mindful of what you post and the questions you throw out here. Some questions are better asked in private
To answer the question, it could earn you a 5 year ban. |
