Fanyeofori:
Seniors, plz help provide answers to my Q

How long does it take for CIC to acknowledge receipt of application I.e d interval btw application submission and AOR?

I want to believe once one receives AOR dat is when one's application is locked in? Or is it locked on submission date?

Working on things so I don't lose 5 points to my birthday!
You will not lose points if your birthday comes after you receive an ITA or before you submit eAPR. See the exemption clause below:

Exemption to section A11.2: candidates whose birthday occurs after they receive an ITA
An applicant may have a birthday after they receive an ITA but before they submit their e-APR. Their change in age may lower their CRS score below the lowest score in the round of invitations. It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2.
When a change in age results in the candidate no longer meeting the MEC or having their recalculated CRS points score fall below the lowest points score in that round of invitations, officers should consider applying the public policy to exempt applicants for permanent residence from certain age-based requirements between invitation to apply and application, based on section A25.2. This consideration can result in an exemption from the refusal of an application under section A11.2.
This public policy also grants an exemption to applicants who may be refused for failing to meet FSWC program requirements when their birthday occurs between the ITA and e-APR.

Thanks for the reference GlitteringStar. The site also says:
...So, unless you made a mistake in your first profile or your circumstances have changed (for example, you have new language test results, you now have more work experience, etc.), there is a good chance you will be found ineligible again

Maybe before he proceeds to creating a new profile, he might have to do a thorough check too for any such possible errors as stated above

Do you have any contact in UNN @transcript? How long did it take them to process it? How much did it cost you including courier and verification?
Yes. In the spirit of helping one another, I said here some weeks ago that any UNN alumnus who desires to process transcript should get in touch with me. A good number of people here did and within 5 days or less their transcripts got delivered. They are here and can testify to that. Send me a PM if you are also interested. (Please note that this is not a business venture for me, before the moderators think it is and ban me. I'm only trying to assist others the little way I can)

Cheers

But under skilled trades, isn't it an advantage when some months have draws of 200 or 300 under the trades category?
The scoring parameters aren't weighted the same way

Out of curiosity undecided

How long does the whole ECA thing take WES?
Would you be notified when WES request verification from your school?
- Mine took less than 14 business days from the time my transcript was received. This also depends on the processing time and speed of delivery of documents/verification from your institution. In my case, UNN verified a day after WES requested. In my opinion, I think WES has the shortest turnaround time from the time you fulfill all requirements
- Yes, you will be notified whenever there's a pending request on your profile

Is it still a good score?

Also, i discovered im eligible to apply under federal skilled trades as my skill falls under chefs category but as self employed

I think you should remain where you are. 436 is good and ITA is (hopefully) in the horizon for you

Good morning Nigerians and Canadadians .

Please how many weeks does it take for ur transcript to get delivered to WES when you send your transcript to WES using NIPOST ?
To avoid stories that touch, why not use a reputable courier service Company like DHL to deliver? Even though it's more expensive, it's safer and faster. Just a suggestion

please I need help on the issue of work experience, please I want to know what the required job should be,can it be a tutorial class? will I have to show my statement of bank payment . what are the things involved?please I need your urgent answer before its too late for me
Is it paid? Is it full-time (or an equal amount in part-time)? Does it fall under NOC 0, A or B? Can you get a reference letter and/or other proof of work from the employer (if any)? If yes, then it's fine. You might also need to show bank statement as proof of pay during your time in employment but that doesn't happen always.

Please my people here. Its my first post here and I need help. I made a mistake that I actually don't know how come until I submitted my profile today. And it says I didn't meet criteria which I tot I did. I calculated my CRS score to be 444 and I started building the profile last year November while waiting for the ECA report from ICES and wen I got it today I completed the study part of the profile building and did all and submitted until I saw am not eligible. Please what can I do? Can I create another profile? Becos I am sure am eligible. Please advice.
You do not need to create another profile, just check for possible errors. It's possible that if you use a mouse, while you were scrolling, you might have innocently entered a wrong information. It happened to me in the DoB field. I crosschecked and updated accordingly. ECA couldn't have made you ineligible

Which should I have stated on my REF letter?
Compliance officer. It already gives you the maximum points for work experience

Hello Bro, I sent you a pm. I need explanation on how to use the hellofax. I want to send a document to WES.

Kindly respond to my pm please.
I'd rather we do this here since it's not a personal stuff.
- Follow THIS LINK to create an account
- Scan your certificate(s)
- On the scan copy, use the typewriter tool to type your WES reference number somewhere at the top. Make it bold enough to be seen at first glance but be careful not to obstruct any information on the certificate
- Save and upload document in the space provided on the hellofax page
- Type in WES fax number and send

Good Morning Everyone
Ive been binge reading!

My CRS calculator says my score is 443.

My husband`s own is lower so we decided i will be the main applicant but he wants to go to the UK for master, do you think we can still go to the uk for masters and oursue express entry?

Thank you!
You can pursue EE from anywhere. I think you guys should pursue this now (443 is a sweet score), and maybe later, he pursues the desired masters degree in a Canadian university as a PR. That makes it even easier and cheaper.

You can also decide to go for the UK masters and commence your application afterwards. If you apply now and get a PR before proceeding to the UK, chances are that you may not be able to spend the required number of years/days in Canada that'll qualify you for a Canadian citizenship application. The choice is yours.

My take on this is that if your application is still being processed 1-2 months before your medicals expire, IRCC will either a) extend your medicals if you're inland or b) request new ones if you're outland.

Moreso, you'll be asked to redo your medicals if and when they're about to expire. Your CoPR will be valid for as long as your new medicals are valid. However if you had lots of time to land but just didn't get around to it, you may be out of luck and have to apply from scratch again. It's really up to the visa office.
AlexanderGreat:
In the case stated by inception12 the COPR has been received already. Meaning the COPR will have an expiry date equal to the expiry of the international passport or medicals, depending on which comes first
In that case then, I think the last paragraph in my opinion above would apply. I stand to be corrected though.

Hello People,

Just a random question, what happens when you get COPR but your medicals or passport expire before you land in Canada? Does the whole process start afresh or you just resubmit passport and new medicals?
