mummytutu: Okay, My bad. Just re-read the post. Apologies to @Mcstan18 .@Dazzle86 please that's misrepresentation; indicate you are married and choose spouse as unaccompanying. Try and hustle for pof for two(accompanying or not) Can I get a hug @mummytutu? |

nitrogen: Hi mcstan18, am curious as to how your speaking test did go, considering the fact that you are based in Lagos, but your test centre was Ibadan, did they fix all tests for one day, or you had to travel to IB twice? Also, did BC provide earphones for the listening bit?
Thanks, I pray that God grants all our heart desires. I made contact with someone at the BC office when there was a delay in acknowledging my payment (thanks to GlitteringStar) and requested that I have my speaking test same day as the written tests. They approved and I had all in good time the same day before going back to Lagos. Yes, they provided the same kind of headphones they use at the Lagos center for the listening test |

Canadianfly: Lol.
Mcstan18 please understand the process well before dishing wrong answers to newbies. How can you advise someone to divorce their spouse all because of PR? When there's a choice to choose them as unaccompanying? Then the referefrence answer, like Kontagious pointed out, one is expected to get reference letter from the appropriate dept, I.e. HR. Anyway please folks y'all need to read for yourselves and not take every answer on here as truth, coz some people haven't really gotten a grasp of things.
All the best to everyone. I don't seem to understand your position ma'am. I'm sure you know that that wasn't an advise, I only stated a possible scenario for legitimately applying as a 'single' person. I didn't know what was obtainable for the poster and that's why I said "if it applies". It would be rather unfair to quote me out of contest and try to make it look spiteful. Remember sey na we-we for this Canny journey |

mummytutu: @mcstan18 this your response is very wrong. It is not misrepresentation. As a married person you have an option of either adding your spouse or not.(accompanying or unaccompanying spouse). If after ITA/AOR (during processing) the PA decides to add spouse and send relevant docs to IRCC, then that's misrepresentation cos it will be deduced that the PA choose spouse as 'unaccompanying' just to claim points. @mummytutu I think you need to read my response in relation to the question posed. I believe you're having things mixed up here. Besides, I think there are better ways to get an erring party corrected other than the bolded. We're all learning you know, whether explicitly or implicitly. |

Kontagious: Let's be conscious of answers we give, especially when it carries so much authority.
There was a similar case mentioned on the previous thread, poster got reference letter from his line head, but confirmation went direct to the company's HR (probably gotten from their website) with the line head in copy. Case got a bit complicated as HR was said to not likely respond, and line head too wouldn't even dare respond to that particular mail.
I can't recollect the end of that case.
cc: Clock89, please be guided. Thank you @Kontagious for the insightful input but I think you more or less buttressed my initial response. The bolded alludes to that. They did contact the line head but perhaps needed some additional clarification from HR and I totally agree with you. Besides, I'd do the same if I were in their shoes because it's the duty of a Company's HR to determine staff JD, compensation, benefits and what have you. If I must accept a line manager's representation, then the HR has to endorse same. I do not think that invalidates the simple 'Yes' response given.
Thank you again for the case cited |

vickyehi: Don't get me wrong this is totally legal and on CIC website. - If you are married but your spouse will not be accompanying you to canada, you score more points like a single person. We should also talk about the implication of towing that path in relation to sponsoring such spouse in the future when they finally desire to make the move. It will help for better decision making for those who are oblivious of it. |

Obyroli: Good day people. please I need your advice. My profile I have a law degree and also a BA in ISD.I am currently an external lawyer for a bank ,I get wpaid through a law firm(not in form of salary, but like a contract.based on how many jobs I do),the amount vary and not monthly. Nysc taught history secondly, My husband is a software engineer with 3years plus experience in a company. He has a B.Tech and OND from a polythecnic. I don't have pay slips and employment letter but he does. thirdly, do I need to write an exam or need a license Who should be the primary applicant. Thanks Let your husband be the PA since he'll claim points for 2 or more degrees and the troubles of obtaining proof of employment would be reduced or even non-existent. You should also evaluate your degree (with IQAS) and write IELTS too. Your CRS score should be decent enough to get an ITA soon, all things (IELTS, age) being equal |

Dazzle86: Hello everyone. I am new here. I have a question to ask. Is it better to apply as a single person even though one is married and then send for the person's spouse later? Is there any implication? That's misrepresentation. Your marriage documents will show that you've been married before you commenced application for PR. Your PR status may be withdrawn and you may also be slammed a lengthy ban.
So, it's not even an option to do that. Wait until you two are ready to make the move. The other option (if it applies) is to file for and get a divorce before applying |

ribaby: I would suggest you go for a remark in your listening if you have the resources. There is still a good chance ur listening will be upgraded. It's possible that BC is overwhelmed such that only one examiner marks the script instead of 2 and this leaves room for errors. My opinion though. Thanks for the suggestion. I was also considering that cos I was wondering why thunder had to strike at the same spot twice. Lol |

Please is there anybody that graduate from adeyemi college of education that is already in Canada or has sent transcript. Please was there any issues concerning adeyemi been affiliated to OAU. I have attach the picture of the response I got from WES please advice on the next step to do. Thanks There shouldn't be any problems with affiliation of institutions to others. The awarding institution in your case should be OAU and they're the ones who'd process and send the transcript. Personally, I've helped folks from Yabatech (a UNN affiliate) successfully process theirs within days. Go ahead and request again without fear bro. |

Any update? mosbiod: yes oo .. broz @mcstan how far My people, I waited so long for the results to be released before going in for a budget presentation. Him no know sey na IELTS result anxiety dey shake my body .
Anyway, I wrapped up a while ago and the first thing was to check the much awaited result. LRWS: 7.5,9,8,8.5. Even though this was better than the previous, 'L' somehow contrived to throw a spanner in the works yet again. By my assessment, I did pretty well in the listening test of January 6 that I expected nothing short of an 8. Well, it didn't quite happen as expected but as the saying goes, "winners never quit". I logged on to the BC site and registered for the next available test here in Lagos. Perhaps my early morning (Fast and Furious) drive to Ibadan that day might have affected my concentration levels, I can't tell. I shall be back again but with good news. There's no room for letting up
Thanks GlitteringStar and Mosbiod for checking. We go finally make am for this Canny journey |

I cant effect any correction, everything just grey out.
Do I need to create another GCkey? I'm afraid you'll need to create a new profile. Be more careful this time around and crosscheck your entries before submitting. |

Cakay: Please I need your advice. I have already submitted my EE profile since DEc 31th but made some mistakes while editing two days ago. Now it is saying I am no longer eligible. I guess the mistake came when I chose a class C NOC. I have the following questions
1.Please how can I create a new one. Will I start from Come to canada again? 2. Am I also going to indicate that I in the new profile that I have applied before? 3. Can I use my existing GCkey?
Thanks I do not think you need to create a new profile since you have been assessed as eligible before the erroneous edit. Kindly correct the mistake you made with the NOC (if you can) and resubmit if that was what changed your eligibility status. You should be fine afterwards. If you can't effect the correction, then you might have to create a new profile |

I have someone in canada that just got her ITA and her father is finding it challeging and expensive to transfer money to her canadian account..... she intend to use the fund as gift of deed. It's not compulsory. If she has monies domiciled in different bank accounts of different countries, she may combine them to make up her PoF. She will need to sufficiently prove that the monies belong to her and (using a reliable and verifiable exchange rate), that the aggregate is at least equal to the minimum PoF requirement in CAD. |

Loritess: Hello everyone, pls my problem is quite different. I have a property that my father gave to me if I can secure a loan with it n use it as a collateral. I’m really confused on which type of loan I’ll apply for since I’m not working presently. I really need to use it for this whole process. PLEASE HELP ME. 40manlappy Newmum optionese If I understand you well, you intend to run this whole show with a loan and probably use the remainder as PoF right? How do you intend to explain the inflow into your account when it's time to do so? Besides, the fund wouldn't be 'unencumbered' as required by CIC and failure to disclose appropriately could be interpreted as misrepresentation. You do not want to get yourself into that mess.
I think it'll be a better option if your dad takes the loan himself and transfers the cash to you with a notarized gift deed to support. That way, liability is shifted to him. Others may have better suggestions on this though
