FYI, Kano State like any other state in the Nigeria is constitutionally empowered to make legally binding laws on its citizens (Christians and Muslims) for the common good of its ppl, through the appropriate law making organ, the state house of Assembly, provided such laws do not contravene any part of the constitution.

Let it also be understood, sharia does not contravene any part of the constitution because none of the states where it is in place have adopted Islam as the State's religion - this is often a fallacy which many Christians opposing it have chosen to believe due to either mischief, ignorance or blatant inability to comprehend the difference (i.e. the mental fixation I already mentioned).

In appearance, the card is black, with GTB logo on the far top right hand corner, usual gold ic chip on the middle left, opposite it on the right is the silver embossed security logo of a dove in flight, immediately beneath it is the visa sign in blue on a white rectangular background; if you look carefully you would also notice the faint whitish (almost rough looking) map of the world in the foreground of the card - I can accurately describe it because I am holding it right now in my hand.

Haven't read other ppl's comment, so I could be repeating what someone had already said; IMO they had no right to impound your vehicle (assuming your vehicle documents were intact and up to date) since its not the vehicle that committed the offence but you, your person, who was not covered to drive with a fake licence.
Although I am not a lawyer, however, I believe they were not entitled to impound your car but only arrest and prosecute you for the driving offence you committed.
I suggest you therefore contact a lawyer to look into the legality of their conduct in this matter, chances are that you could probably be the one claiming compensation for wrongful withholding of your property along with all the pain and suffering you endured without your vehicle - good luck.
