jidamsel43: Those that started the movement #endsars initially had genuine interest to stop police brutality against innocent citizens. The movement has been hijacked by criminals and elements of disobedient. If SARS is disbanded, does it mean that police will abandon the fight against cyber crime? Another formation can be established with a different name and can be more brutal than SARS. The attack on security agencies on the disguise of protest is unacceptable and uncalled for. Nigerians have right to protest against government but government also has the responsibility to curb breaking down of law and order. But no one is talking now. We didn't vote on Twitter or gave instructions for whom to vote on Twitter. Why is the President not addressing the situation.? A good body language will go a long way in reducing tension. Sack the IGP and some few bad eggs, set up a committee to bring justice to bereaved families and ensure they are visited and compensated with justice. Is that too much to ask? |

noleflendum: you sound like thief As if you voted in the last election. We have 101 problems in Nigeria. You cannot decide which one people should agitate for. Your leaders don't respect you. They only come out during elections to give you rice and beans. Your president has given more than 5 orders to reform the police. All orders has been flouted. So, killing should continue or how do expect people to agigate when happy trigger men are lotering the street.. Let the street be safe and see if we won't agigate for a better Nigeria. You have to be safe before you ask for anything. No matter what your thoughts or opinions are, this has never happened in the history of democracy in Nigeria. It's a show of unity among the youth. If you travel outside this country, you will know we are tagged "thieves". Thanks to your leaders who have no sense of responsibility and reasoning on how to protect their own future generation. |

bolaino: I lost my father to Yahoo boys that are been sponsored by Hezbollah, so personally I want to see justice served and these criminals arrested. My heart goes out to all the innocent victims of police brutality in Nigeria but this does not mean that we should scrap the police. You can never read anyone saying, scrap police. They are asking for scrapping of an arm of the police that has been killing the future generation of this country. When scrapped, new blood with strict rules will be injected and given a name. That's all we ask. Is it hard for govt we voted into power.? DSS is there likewise RRS, they are both police officers in different camouflage. We respect them because they face their duty and rarely harrass the citizens unlike SARS. |

Taba21: So you don't know that a lot of curses are about to manifest in Nigeria. Have you heard any of the pastors commenting on this issue or didn't you know that they understand what is about to happen more than you.
Why must people instead of protesting against insecurities and the collapsed government turned and focus their energy on SARS.
Boko haram, Fulanis herdsmen, banditry and ISWP will be laughing at the studipity of this artificial celebrities You do things one after the other else, it will be hijacked by politicians. When the street are a little bit safe for protest, every other protest wil be heard. It's a gradual process. When there is life, we can protest for a better society. |

bigpriik: This #endsars may escalate to something else if care is not taken,I smell a revolution coming because Nigerians are gradually reaching their endurance limits, celebrities will make it come fast and easy,if youths resort to arms and violence it will be difficult for for government to control because they constitute 80% of the Nigerian population imagine trying to control over 50million angry boys and girls Nigeria is not Egypt or libya for Christ sake this is the most populous black nation on Earth,Ngerias is more than that of all West African countries combined, infact it will turn another civil war.
I forsee secessionist forming their own militia groups to take advantage of the chaos, and once the centre becomes weak Nigeria is gone because I trust my eastern brothers will see it as the great moment they have being waiting for ,the west too may form theirs and the breaking Becomes so easy ... A word is enough for the wise.. If only they would understand and do the needful. Tunisia started this way and today, we they are better off, despite their small population. |

bolaino: I want to use this opportunity to warn The Federal Government and all it's security agencies to be at alert as Terrorists are using Nigerian Celebrities to push for the EndSars campaign because the most notable terrorist Group in Nigeria, Hezbollah is paying these Celebrities to badmouth the government and the police because the police has been doing a good job of trying to arrest the masterminds of fraud in Nigeria which are cult groups and the Celebrities in these cult groups, examples are Burna Boy,Wizkid and Davido, these are the people that Hezbollah is using through covert means to try and disintegrate this great country. And if this is allowed to happen the blame will be on The Present Government and it will not be fair. That is why the government needs to go after these Celebrities and bring them to account for their negative actions as regards to using their fame to influence youths into criminal lifestyles. Should I curse you or allow you continue with your rant? Let me think about it. However, before I come back, I'd appreciate if you can google Kolade Johnson and Kazeem Remo Stars player. PROPHETmichael: Ending of SARS will not stop anything because if you end it, the real arm robbers and touts will jubilate. Also, ending it won't solve the problem because the same officers will be move to another police departments or given a new tag. Fish the corrupt ones out and make them pay heavily for their misconduct.
In Nigeria, we are good at changing names instead of addressing the problem. A typical example is NEPA to PHCN. There is something I want you to understand. If the government is sincere, the people will understand. All we need is the words of the those at the helms of affairs. PMB once gave a directive to a retired IGP, it was flouted. Osibanjo also did same last year, yet we still have the problem. Let PMB, summarily dismiss the IGP and some top police officers with immediate effect. That is political will and not all those foolish reforms posted by Mba. We don't have a decisive President. His body language is really affecting all spheres of Nigeria's development. He needs to taks action and enforce such with available laws. |

Mikecold: All this is coming because we can't speak with one voice in this country (maybe cos we aren't victim yet).
This particular narrative that ending sars would increase crime is the narrative that was gifted to the police by some coward youth themselves.
The police is currently fitting excuses so as to come up with a worthless reform on paper like the one given to naira marley
Our myopic youths fail to realize that nothing about Nigeria reform is done moderately, if it is bad it becomes extremely bad.
Tomorrow nobody would be taken serious if they complain again because the so called reform has taken effect
We should realize that this sars issue is a massive killing/control tool of youths in the south, killings and provocation by sars isn't happening in the north which is soaked with banditry, armunition, drugs, and the same cyber crime.
Efcc should be the ones investigating cyber crimes and they do so after "report and evidence".
I don't support hardened criminals, the police should deploy an effective means but must end sars because it can't control it nor restrict it after all the extortion sars have been exposed to.
I can conclude that just like osinbajo gave a weightless reform of sars the last time, it would be the same again because the same victims are clamouring for "sars reform" that would never work Aunty Mumu Kemi Olunloyo. Number 1 |

Misterone: most likely you lack comprehension skills. Reread what the governor said slowly maybe you would comprehend this time. or maybe I should give you a clue. INEC does not make indigenes of a state returning officers. So talking about Owo or ifon is buncum. The man would never have been the returning officer in the first place. I read it perfectly before I responded. This is Nigeria, anything happens. In every iota of "fake" news, there is a lining truth. Gov Makinde did not act cowardly, he mentioned names so, as I said, either fake or real, he must have heard from a "reliable source. What INEC is doing now, is after thought. We all know VC's of Federal Unis are returning officers in Gubernatorial elections so, the VC can be nominated but some of us do/will not know the man is from Owo. Whichever, it is, I believe that intended nomination has been scuttled. It's a fact. |

ChiefOlabowla: Most mails on the targeted end user websites are not directly the mails of the owners or key decision makers of the business. There is this browser plugin I use to further drill down to the owners or key decision makers by searching the the url of the targeted end user websites.
The cons 1. It is not certain that every website you input would generate leads. 2. It is some what expensive to pay for the subscription.
The Pros 1. It is easy to use 2. It has a free version 3. The free version users are entitled to 100 possible searches monthly for free

masterP042: SARS is not the problem. I think this end sars protest is being sponsored by the govt to distract the youths, we should be protesting unemployment, fuel price hike, electricity hike, restructuring etc. If u end sars will it stop them from harassing the youths? They are still employed by the police, and can still use that medium to harass people. Since we've finally had the courage to protest, I suggest we channel it to the right quarters Have you had an encounter with SARS or you are just trolling? Alaye, ma je kin gbe e sepe o... The reason why I detest Nigerian politicians is that, they always fail to attack issues rather, the person is their major focus.
The question remains, is the VC from Owo LG?
We all know politicians have their ears on ground. Makinde must have heard the info from a reliable source hence, his quick outburst.
Why didn't he (Makinde) mention another person's name and be an hypocrite?
He has the facts and assisted INEC before releasing the name of the returning officer or probably, that's one of the strategy APC is trying to use and has been scuttled?
