On the Visa information mine is blank.

So, what this means is that one can go on Thursday and queue up for an interview? Dates are not propping for 221G

Same here, it didn’t say why. They also didn’t request for any document except passport. Just try to go for the interview on Thursday. I don’t see any option for a follow up so I’ll just show up.

I went to the embassy for my follow up interview but my passport was not with me; still with them so the processing guys did not allow me go for the interview.

@dampops, E be like this IW na scam oh. I spent so much to get this and cancelled my physical interview only for it to be rejected and I have been called for a physical interview. I have to start travelling back to Lagos which I just left yesterday. Na wah. I don't remember if i have done fingerprint because I think my last physical interview was in 2008 or is it because I have a U.S born child? i no understand these people sha.

Around $15,000. I didn't use epidural and I made use of my insurance. My insurance covered 80% of it.

Let me share my experience at the consulate this afternoon while i took my son for his scheduled fingerprint collection. I witnessed the interviews of over 15 applicants...all of them were not new travellers. As at when i left, only 3 of them were granted, one elderly couple was put on AP; the others were refused....frequent travelers o
They queried those of them that stayed for over one month in the US on a trip (you can't lie anyway, as i94 portal will expose you). The questions ranged from: why did you stay that long? What were you doing to survive/sustain yourself in the US? How much did you spend if you stayed in a hotel? What do you do in Nigeria that allowed you to be away for that long? How were you moving around? etc...
The couple that was put on AP have a registered business in the US and mentioned that they need to travel to check their business as its Business Manager died last year (the yeye Consular Officer even empathized with them o...yet still didn't approve their application)...

For people intending to go for vacation and are preparing for an interview, please be prepared for likely questions. May we all find favour...

To come on a public forum and openly boast that you are in another country and your passport is in another country in yet a third country’s consulate for a visa.
If you don’t get detected and issued the visa I advice you don’t come here to brag “oluwa is involved” don’t encourage this kind of bad behavior. Even if you are issued the visa and your husband is subjected to a secondary search at an international border and that passport is detected you guys are in even bigger problems.
I would even advice you delete the initial post. Consular officers do see, and are even members of Nairaland.

I was trying to be civil because I didnt know the laws regarding proxy application and cross border movement of passport document without the authorized holder but all I will say now is that Nigerians are not good people. They go to any length to satisfy their individual agenda. It was also because of the attitude of some nigerians that dropbox was suspended. This is even a pilot project . At the end they'll make a decision on whether they want to continue with dropbox program or not

So you mean you are not in Nigeria and you sent your international passport for U.S to place a visa on? Unbelievable.
This is one of the reasons they stopped DHL from receiving documents and want the Nigeria staff at the consulate to do the initial processing. Because of people like you they will soon insist that no one should submit any passport for another.
Just pray they don’t detect your absence from Nigeria.

You might need to commence a Judicial Review. Lagos Consulate will not respond. They are notorious for that.

1. I am married with two children(both Canadian citizen) and my wife (PR - Canadian citizen)

2. I met my wife 2013, did small family intro (in Nigeria) and she had our first daughter (in canada)

3. She got her PR in 2018.

4. Came home(Nigeria) with my daughter 2018.

5. We had our official wedding 2019.

6. She had our second daughter (2020).

7. I started my PR (Spouse sponsorship visa) 2020 through a Canadian immigration lawyer .

8. Processing of my Application started in 2021.

9. I got a scholarship to travel to South Korea for master in 2021.

10. Got a medical request mail and it was done August 2021(In South Korea)

11. Medical passed.

12. By February 14 2022 I was called for visa interview in Lagos, Nigeria with 5 days notice.

13. I tried my best to travel down to Lagos for the visa interview but it was not successful.

14. I sent an email (explaining reasons why I wouldn’t be able to come Feb 14 and requested for rescheduling of the visa interview). Email was sent before the interview day.

15. I was sent an email that my Visa has been refused but I can appeal.

16. My lawyer email them to challenge their decision and still requested for rescheduling of the visa interview.

17. Till today , no response from the Canadian embassy.

In conclusion.
Please what can I do? I have been away from my family since, I have not set my eyes on my new baby and I need to support my wife, in taken care of the family and been present for my lovely daughters.

Unfortunately, you have only just registered so we might not be able to guess what the reason might be. Did you give birth in the U.S? If not keep your hopes high you will be approved.

Lol yours was fair sef, when I went to drop my passport, the touts were insisting I make copies of all the documents. I didnt even try to respond, I just kept on walking.

At the end of the day, none of the paper documents were collected. Just my passport and one passport photo.

They only need to sight the paper documents to be sure you applied, you paid the visa fee and were scheduled to come drop your passport.

But Buhari is not responsible for the Visa appointment date nah. Even if you go to the U.S embassy website in Canada, it is the same time. The appointment date wait time in Toronto is around 480days as at today. Let us be calming down.

Have had over 14 years continuous Schengen visa applications and travels and I have had a European Residence Permit in the past. It is just that my first time applying in Abuja they did not give me one year again.
