I think most people only realize how expensive Canada is when they eventually get there. Then you start hearing once I get my passport I am coming back to Naija.

You should get an IW appointment ASAP. After February 24th, 2022 you would not qualify for this service anymore.

With what you have just mentioned, his chances of a visitor visa denial is almost 100% so you should just apply for spousal which is the most guaranteed. It would take between 12-18months. You can always travel to meet him within this period. Good luck.

Married couple, Husband in Nigeria while wife is a Canadian permanent resident and both are working.

We want to know the fastest and most guaranteed route to be together in Canada where we want to settle.

Husband has an history of Visa canceled with Prejudice from the US although it was many years ago and his circumstances have changed. So we are thinking whether to go directly with Spousal sponsorship or visiting and then Inland spousal sponsorship.

The MPs in my wife’s city are very annoying, they claim to have contacted IRCC but they didn't, she went to their office with baby asking for assistance, they got my information but no update till today. The only MPs that opened a case file for me was from Alberta, Mississauga and Montreal the rest kept insisting they would inquire. One from Ottawa even hung up on my wife sef.

Your circumstances have changed so yes you can go for an interview. However, its a 50/50 based on your lack of travel experience.

Do you have any property, investments, businesses in Nigeria?
I'm not sure if this year is feasible as the interview dates are in 2024.
Is your wife also gainfully employed? Many people have a wife and family and still abscond while sending money home. So, it's important to also show strong financial and productivity ties.
Have you gone anywhere else apart from South Africa?

It was not surprising that U.S who had about the most lenient Visa Policy has now restricted it badly. Lots of people were obtaining U.S visas land in the U.S and the next day find themselves in Canada.

That being said, we are very good at de marketing our country and its people. The sheer number of Indians seeking Assylum in Canada will shock you but you will never hear of these kinds of reports.

There is a very slow and verifiable process before granting claims, however, the reporter makes it seem that Nigerians just go there, claim reused and are sent back. We should do better.

Luckily, the ban is not from the date of the refusal but from the date of the alleged deception (2012) so wait till 2022 to apply but in your application you should address the refusal of 2012 and why you omitted disclosures.

I had my LLM in Netherlands and came back to Nigeria afterwards. You cant rely on job prospects to stay back

It doesn't matter if you get work experience and obtain the best grade from a University in the Netherlands. If you don't find a job that qualifies for permanent residence after you receive your 1 year post graduate work permit, you will be back in Nigeria or can choose to remain illegally and live like slave.

You can apply after 6 months or when your circumstances change. Kindly share your transcript.

My application got rejected. My wife mailed it to IRCC 4 weeks ago, and we received the application back from IRCC yesterday.
The reason behind the rejection was that the application was incomplete
