This is the history of how the Fulanis subtly gain domination over the Hausas.

The historical fact will help us to actually know the contribution of British to Nigeria woe just because of their selfishness.

THE HAUSA STRUGGLE AGAINST ENSLAVEMENT
Most Sunnis and their scholars are Fulanis using Islam to keep the Hausas in perpetual bondage

The first charismatic Hausa leader to unite his people against Fulani overlords was a scholar by the name Abd al – Salam , another Hausa scholar by the name Dan Buya joined him. His movement started around 1818, shortly after the death of Usman Dan Fodio. At the time, almost all Hausa people lived in slave camps and over 60% of them were vassals of the Fulani feudal overlords…. Another large faction were turned to chattels and sold to the Ottoman traders. The revolt by these clerics to take back their lands started at Sokoto and spread from Sokoto to Kebbi and Zamfara. Sultan Bello was the ruler from Sokoto. He declared the leaders of the revolt as apostates. They were both defeated in battle and assassinated.

The Hausas were organizing for a second revolt when Lord Lugard showed up. Hoping to use his influence to sack the Fulani rulers, they enlisted en -masse into his army and formed the first battalions of the West African Frontier Force (WAFF)… Lugard betrayed them after the successful campaign and gave the land of the Hausa people back to the Emirs on the condition that the Emirs agreed to be vassals of the British. The Hausa people protested and tried to pressure him to replace them with Hausa rulers. He refused and believed that the Fulani, being a non negro race would be supposedly more intelligent people to work with in a system of indirect rule. In his journal, he wrote…. ‘The Fulani are an alien race of conquerors who had in turn been conquered. It would constitute danger to the state if they were ousted from their positions. Their intelligence enables them to appreciate more readily than the negro population the wider objects of the British policy….’

Shortly before independence, another charismatic ruler rose from the ranks to free his people from Fulani rule. He was also a scholar by the name Aminu Kano. He shared similar philosophies with Awolowo on socialism and emancipation of the masses. He argued that the talakawas were an exploited group in the North and swore to abolish both the emirates and privileged class known then as Masu Sarautu. His rising profile posed concern for the British and for a second time, they made laws that disenfranchised the Hausa people. They created an electoral college in the North with laws that gave the emirs the final approval of any elected member into the legislature. With this law, they silenced the voice of the talakawas championed by Aminu Kano and frustrated his revolution.

In the 70’s, another Hausa cleric emerged and rallied Hausa people, his name was Mohammadu Marwa, nicknamed ‘Mai Tatsine. He deviated from many of the Sunni teachings and declared himself an annabi (Hausa ruler). The title in Hausa is reserved for prophets with divine inspiration..... He swore to rid Hausa land of the Fulani elites and the nobility that exploited the local rulers for over a century. Like Aminu kano, he drew a mass following among the talakawas. His movement was violent. He had weapons smuggled into Kano for a revolution that started in December 1980….. Shagari government used the military to fight the movement and killed over 5,000 people. The group was fearless and stood their ground to the last breadth…. Major Haliru Akilu, one of the commanders sent to restore order in Kano observed that the fanatics never retreated, even when they were overpowered. They were bolder than the guerillas we read about fighting in Malaysia or in the jungles of East Asia’

Mohammed Marwa was killed shortly after the revolt . ( It was said that at death, his body did not decay and this futher inspired his followers). A More brutal successor came after him. His name was Ali Suleiman (Musa Makaniki). He led a more violent uprisings in Kaduna and the most violent of all postcolonial Hausa revolts in Yola in 1984 which left thousands of people dead and thousands more homeless. Buhari ordered a ruthless crackdown on the group in Yola that led to the death of many members. Musa Makaniki fled to Cameroon to escape death by hanging and stayed in exile for many years.

The current cleric standing for the Hausa masses is El Zakzacky. Most Sunnis and their scholars are Fulanis using Islam to keep the Hausas in perpetual bondage. SHEIK IBRAHIM ELZAKZAKY is a Hausa man, and of the Shiite Islamic sect. He is believed by the Fulani hierarchy that, if left unchecked, he can cause a major set back to Fulani domination which have lasted for more than 200 years. Which is why he is being hounded by the Buhari Fulani regime.
Unlike the other previous leaders of the fight for freedom for Hausa people, El Zakzacky had western education and his movement started with intellectuals in the ranks. He finished with a first class degree in Economics at ABU but was denied his certificate. In a country where the Northerners enjoyed the privilege of a quota system, he could have lived a good life by pledging allegiance to Futa Jalon rulers…. On the contrary, he chose to stand up for the injustice done to the Hausa people for over a century. Like the cleric before him, he deviated from all Islamic laws that bound them to Alien rulers that exploited the natives to form the nobility. His struggle is not about Islamic ideals, it is about freedom for Hausa people and rejection of Fulani nobility. His rhetoric is strictly centered on it and the government they greatly influence at federal level.

The emirs are alien rulers. Like the British who left at independence, they need to vacate the Northern kingdoms and give Hausa land back to its ancestral owners who have been seeking redress for injustice done to them by the Jihad of the early 1800’s.

This is the time to help someone out! Things are rough for a lot of people, even the ones one may think are rich or doing well.
If you can help someone please do.
This is the time to help your gateman pay his children's school fees.
This is the time to give him some food items.
This also goes for your maid, give him/her some transport money if he/she isn't a live-in.

Buy that colleague lunch. He or she is probably not dieting, they just can't afford it. Give some colleagues a lift even if to a certain point.
Buy your friend petrol for their car. He's not walking because he wants to exercise.
Give that Uncle or Auntie N10k, they're probably in dire circumstances hence they're ringing off your phone.

Patronise farmers if you can. It's cheaper to get your goods from them.
Eat more greens - they're cheaper.
Don't go to people's houses expecting to be fed.
It's rude and times are hard.
Be thankful if they feed you, it's not easy for anyone.

Give out you and your kids old clothes and shoes to people who truly need them.
Pay an undergraduate's school fees. Recommend a good graduate if you know of a job opening.
That may be the only way he or she can feed their parents and siblings.

Let neighbours fetch water from you if you have a borehole.
Feed a homeless child or person. You never know who you're helping. That might be the next Einstein.
Pay someone's hospital bill, it could be life or death. You could literally be saving a life.

We all know how prices have doubled . Some families may not have food on festival day, feed a family. Invite them over.
People won't tell you what they're going through so be sensitive and see through the facade.

Spare some change for poorer family members please send it, it's no joke. Folks can barely feed daily.

There are so many little things that can be done, please search your heart and be creative to come up with other ways you can give. Folks are hungry, angry and tired. Leave the government, we are the welfare system in Nigeria.

None of these are compulsory please. It's just a way to help each other out. Do what you can. If you're already doing any of these and can afford to, then well done, if you can do more please do. Keep being kind.

more money in the hands of people will lead to rush to market to buy few goods available and sellers will see an artificial surge in demand. The normal reaction to this is price increase. This will lead to inflation cancelling out the effect of printed money.
A wiser strategy and age tested one, is to produce more goods against same amount of money. This will drive prices down, create sustainable employment, and engagae idle hands.

More goods cannot be produced in the country because of poor power generation, and diesel cost to power the production machineries has gone sky high. So there are more worse days ahead for Nigerians.

Today, all three arms of Government; Executive, Legislative and Judicial have been appropriated by the Fulani Nation. President, Chief of Staff, Senate president, Chief Justice of the Federation, Deputy Speaker House of representatives. It has always been said that he who controls political power controls everything in the Republic. That is what the Fulani have done.

FULANI TAKES OVER ALL ARMS BEARING ORGANS OF SECURITY
Next, they moved to put all arms under Fulani control. Still not fully comfortable with the capacity of other Nigerians to offer resistance, in February 2018, Nigeria Police Force which feigned ignorance of the uAK47 bearing Fulani terrorists and would not challenge them suddenly announced, through Police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, plans by the Inspector General of Police to order surrender of both licensed and unlicensed guns from the citizens of Nigeria within 21 days. This was targeted at Vigilante groups, Neighborhood watches and people who obtained licensed guns for personal protection. Evidently, the Fulani herdsmen were exempted from this order as they openly and brazenly carried AK47 weapons in full view of the Police unchallenged. PHASE 4
TAKE OVER ALL FUNDS AND DEPRIVE OTHERS OF ACCESS TO MONEY.
The four highest revenue earners of Government were put in the hands of Fulani Muslims from the North. NNPC accounts for 76% of federal revenue, 40% of overall gross Domestic Product and 98% of export earnings is put under Mele Kyari, Fulani from Borno. Federal Inland Revenue Service which generated, at a time, 5.3 trillion Naira under Babatunde Fowler, a Yoruba, was taken and handed over to Mohammed Nami in 2019, also Muslim from the North. Government was patient enough for Fowler to introduce the template and blueprint of the successful Lagos tax initiative. In addition, Fowler brought all the Tax payer register, their key information, their business secrets and customers to the Federal umbrella, thinking perhaps he would be there in forever. The Nigeria Ports Authority whose revenue in 2017 was about 1 trillion Naira and one of the highest 4 is domesticated under a young lady, Hadiza Bala Usman, also Muslim Fulani. The Nigeria Customs Service, yielded a revenue of 1.5 trillion naira was also given to Rtd. Col. Hameed Ali, Muslim Fulani. But that is not all. The big spenders are also Fulani controlled: Defense, Finance, Education, Justice, FCT, Agriculture, Police Affairs, Aviation, Communication, Power, Water Resources, and Humanitarian Affairs. Following key federal agencies too: EFCC, ICPC, NFIU, NNPC, PTDF, DPR, PPRA, PEF, NPA, NIMASA, NDIC, SEC, NAICOM, FMBN, FHA, NHIS, NPHDA, UBEC, TETFUND, SMEDAN, NYSC, BOA, DBN, BPE, NTA, NEDC, FERMA, PENCOM, NITDA, NCC, NEMA, FAAN, NAMA, NIMET, NIRSAL, NIMC and Sovereign Wealth Fund.

PHASE 5:
PHYSICAL OCCUPATION: OKADA LOCUSTS FROM THE NORTH
Importation of foreign Fulani into Southern and Middle Belt regions started rather surreptitiously. Thousands of Fulani youth, scrawny looking, scantily clothed invaded most State Capitals of the South and Middle belt, starting from Lagos. They came in trailers, loaded with brand new motorcycles cal
led “Okada.” Some observant people wondered aloud, how they got these shiny brand-new motorbikes, who paid for them, who sent them down South and who received, camped, housed and fed them. They asked “Is this not be part of a grand Boko Haram agenda?” Not a few suspected them as injected sleeper cells in our urban areas, ready and programmed to press their weapons into action to cause pandemonium, injure and kill in order to dominate and take over local space. Our Governors went about their activities in politics and stealing without distraction, yet the number of these invading troops kept swelling.

PHASE 6:
PHYSICAL OCCUPATION: INJECTION INTO FOREST RESERVES
Under the pretext of Cow herding, they started full scale occupation of forest reserves, importing their family from across all Fulani Nations of West Africa, building their signature straw huts all around and constructing their traditional organs of administration. They brought their wives, their children and their armory of AK47 and ammunition. Still Governors grumbled but wanted a second term and so, feigned ignorance.

GOOD STRATEGY, POOR TACTICS.
Those who conceived and implemented this ‘Take-Over’ strategy failed to take risk management into their project plan. They injected these peasants, equipped them with guns and forgot to sustain them with regular allowances. So, prematurely and before full implementation of mass space occupation, these warriors poured into highways, started to rob passengers for survival before graduating to kidnapping. Now they found this more lucrative than any allowance thus transformed into autonomous agents. They had now acquired enormous power, been introduced to lucrative human trade and become blackmail entrepreneurs. Some with the power of their guns also moved to seize ancestral land and since ‘body no be wood,’ added raping of farmers wives and daughters.

Finally people came alive, started to pay attention and now complained. Abuja ignored them, local Political leaders including Governors and legislators stayed mute, traditional rulers cringed and froze up, but some socio-political leaders raised alarms.

The Presidency, finally, through a Yoruba minion, Femi Adesina warned: “Ancestral attachment? You can only have ancestral attachment when you are alive. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE.

Security fault lines created by organized Fulani structures inserted into the Yoruba homeland by forces unidentified yet suspected to be highly structured, financed and organized at very high level. These Fulani cells are distributed in groups of at least 15 to 20 complete with women, arms, and other appurtenances of long-term occupation and are now strategically positioned in reserves created by Chief Obafemi Awolowo for Agricultural developments aka Western Nigeria Development Corporation (WNDC) now abandoned. The report suggested options to begin preparations to strengthen the home base, evaluate scope, assess risks, design strategies and craft appropriate tactics to respond to this new security threat. Political leadership especially Governors of the South West States were given this report yet continued in their state of relaxed slumber in insulated dream of safety with security votes safe in their personal accounts in reliable Banks. In a statement by Retired Col. Agbede, key leader of this assignment on behalf of the Council: “As Yoruba elders and leaders in our own rights, we owe it a duty to speak up.

The dreadful hill known as ‘Oke Owa’ was located on the outskirts of the sleepy community. Speaking with reporters, the Olujare of Ijare, who spoke through his second in command, Chief Wemimo Olaniran, the Sapetu of Ijare, called it an act of God. The Sapetu said the herdsmen had been destroying their farmland for a very long time which had led to confrontation on many occasions. He told reporters it came as a surprise that the Gods came into the matter so suddenly. His words: ”We were there this morning and we saw about 36 cows dead apart from the one inside the bush. It has happened and there is nothing we can do, we regard it as the act of God which nobody can query.’ The Sapetu said triumphantly. The invaders ran away from Ijare, never to terrorise our community again.

All these were precursors to the establishment of AMOTEKUN, an outfit the Federal Government insisted must not operate without the Police and must never carry weapons. The question left to ask now is: Is AMOTEKUN up to this task? If not, what else? Surely the ijare model may not work universally across the huge landscape of Oduduwa especially against sophisticated weaponry. Or Will the ‘Igboho’ template hold for long? Think about it.
