Was Obasanjo the real choice of the Yorubas, and not Falae under AD?

Let the Igbos support a credible candidate from the region (someone like Peter Obi), and let him passionately seek the support of other tribes in a popular party with a believable national revival agenda, and then let him contest. He will be surprised with the outcome.

But sometimes I don't understand this Igbo narrative that they deserve to be Nigeria's next president, as though we are not under democratic dispensation where everyone has to contest in an election for the post?

Are we to call them and say, choose anyone among you who qualifies for the post, and just put him on the throne, without any electoral contest?

Though I am a Yoruba, but who is deceiving this man that he will ever be a president of Nigeria.

I am not talking about the profit here, but I am emphasising about the welfare of the staff working for them. Every organisation operates for profitability sake, but not to the detriment of their staffs.

You are deliberately being mischievous, most banks across the world share profits across board to all level of their staffs at year end, but not in Nigeria.

Bankers are envied all over the world, but in Nigeria, majority of them live in a make believe situation. Many of their staffs spent more than a decade at one employment level with no promotion, leading to a massive frustration. Most of their Marketers are being driven like slaves, and have developed high blood pressure due to unreasonable deposit targets assigned to them.

And so on, and so forth.

So don't expect the sharing formula to be the same when the profits arrive.

Yes sir. I was a banker of more than 22 years, and at management level too. So I know the history of most Nigerian banks, and where their profits come from.

The truth is that people managing most banks in Nigeria are purely after the profits and their individual pockets. The welfare of the low level staffs are not their concerns. They think they are doing them favour by employing them, just because of the dire employment situation in Nigeria.

How much is a teller earns in a month, between 50 and 80k. Many of them are just struggling to survive. That's why fraud is so pervasive in Nigerian banks.

The rich bankers are the CEOs, board of directors and the top men, not the tellers.

And the cruel Banks' Managements are always delirious at financial year end to declare billions of Naira in profits, some of which they share among themselves as profitability sharing, without considering the Tellers at the shop floors who actually did the hardest part of the jobs. Shame on them.
