fijihems: The right step to take is to strengthen the value of the naira instead of making everyone a millionaire with currency that is worthless. Besides, increasing the salaries of workers in Nigeria more than tenfold will cause a situation of hyperinflation, which will totally erode the purchasing power of the naira, thereby making the workers to be worse off economically. The lasting solution lies in strengthening the naira and reducing the prices of commodities, particularly food items. There is no economic sense in increasing the salaries of workers twenty fold, thereby ridiculing the naira. I am surprised that the government is even thinking in this direction. I am really afraid for this country and the so called advisers to the government. Imagine a situation where everyone is a millionaire and the price of every commodity starts in thousands of naira. Then all of us go relocate to Ghana. At least we have helped them before. One good turn deserves reciprocity. Ghana here we come, Nigeria wan burst! |

Tellmeastory: Is NIGERIA the only black country you know?
You are ALL IGNORANT.
You don't travel to black countries.
You know NOTHING about them.
The first money you have, you look for a white country to visit. Or Dubai.
Blacks with sense use their money and travel to Jamaica, or Rwanda, or Trinidad, or Tanzania, or Angola. Or Ethiopia.
They contribute to building BLACK SOCIETIES, instead of stupidly rushing to spend their capital abroad, and then turn round to insult ''Africa''.
Brainwashed things.
See Luanda. How many of you have considered visiting there instead of Dubai?
There is nothing in Dubai you won't find in Luanda.
Luanda, Angola. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/fe/58/1b/fe581b0cdf57183b95a0ddf01dd54792.jpg
Or the black country of Trinidad
Capital: Port of Spain

Or Nairobi, Kenya here, https://i.pinimg.com/736x/ba/40/3b/ba403bd2a0abe867d6c1afe6ae230035.jpg
Or what about Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania?

We have many excellent, fast growing regions of the black world to enjoy and be proud of, if only people stopped letting themselves be BRAINWASHED by negative CNN focus on 'Haiti' etc. I am pretty sure that many those skyscrapers you are glorifying in these pictures were built or owned by white companies. How many black construction firms can build such big edifice? Let us accept it, we blacks are hugely deficient in technological and inventive ideas. It is only in the IT industry we are now seeing some flashes of ingenuity. |

Tellmeastory: IT'S BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR HISTORY THAT YOU FEEL INFERIOR.
This is from the UK Guardian Newspaper.
Benin City, the mighty medieval capital now lost without trace
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DLCuumgXkAA4MP4.jpg
''With its mathematical layout and earthworks longer than the Great Wall of China, Benin City was one of the best planned cities in the world when London was a place of ‘thievery and murder’''
''The Guinness Book of Records (1974 edition) described the walls of Benin City and its surrounding kingdom as the world’s largest earthworks carried out prior to the mechanical era. According to estimates by the New Scientist’s Fred Pearce, Benin City’s walls were at one point “four times longer than the Great Wall of China, and consumed a hundred times more material than the Great Pyramid of Khufu in Egypt”.
''Pearce writes that these walls “extended for some 16,000 km in all, in a mosaic of more than 500 interconnected settlement boundaries. They covered 6,500 sq km and were all dug by the Edo people … They took an estimated 150 million hours.... to construct, and are perhaps the largest single archaeological phenomenon on the planet”.
Benin City was also one of the first cities to have a semblance of street lighting. Huge metal lamps, many feet high, were built and placed around the city, especially near the king’s palace. Fuelled by palm oil, their burning wicks were lit at night to provide illumination for traffic to and from the palace.
When the Portuguese first “discovered” the city in 1485, they were stunned to find this vast kingdom made of hundreds of interlocked cities and villages in the middle of the African jungle. They called it the “Great City of Benin”.... Indeed, they classified Benin City as one of the most beautiful and best planned cities in the world.
In 1691, the Portuguese ship captain Lourenco Pinto observed: “Great Benin, where the king resides, is larger than Lisbon; all the streets run straight and as far as the eye can see. The houses are large, especially that of the king, which is richly decorated and has fine columns. The city is wealthy and industrious. It is so well governed that theft is unknown and the people live in such security that they have no doors to their houses.”
In contrast, London at the same time is described by Bruce Holsinger, professor of English at the University of Virginia, as being a city of “thievery, prostitution, murder, bribery and a thriving black market made the medieval city ripe for exploitation by those with a skill for the quick blade or picking a pocket”.
https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2016/mar/18/story-of-cities-5-benin-city-edo-nigeria-mighty-medieval-capital-lost-without-trace Keep on massaging your black ego. At that period, the Europeans have built big ships to travel across big oceans to come to your shores with guns to capture the city you are celebrating here, with all its resources and men, and ship them to Europe. |

scarra: All you do is come online and type rubbish about your skin color as you have been so brainwashed that you believe anything white is the best. Read about Haiti and what both France and the US are doing to it before coming online to show your level of ignorance That's why your most populous black African country with stupendous natural resources is the most successfully ruled African country? Let called a spade a spade, blacks are genetically deficient in leadership qualities. That's why Dangote has to employ Indians to run his companies. Leave Africans there, they will loot them to ruins. Black Haiti has always been in all forms of political crisis since its independence in the 18th century. It only enjoyed some peace during Papa Doc Duvalier and his son 29 years reign. Even both of them ruled with cruel hands and looted the country. The country is beyond redemption now, unless America intervenes once again. |

Tinubu should stop transversing the white world looking for cheap foreign investment. It is becoming deeply embarrassing to us.
We all thought the man had a developmental field map for the country to activate in his presidency, having studied Nigeria political situation for a long time. But unfortunately he is turning out to be another tumbling and fumbling politician with no clear cut developmental vision to uplift the nation.
He is a big disappointment, and we are in for a long terrible ride with him for the next three and a half years. |

franchasofficia: How many prosperous and working countries do you see their President or King or ruler globetrotting from one country to another begging foreigners to come and invest in his country even when he knows he hasn't fixed the major issues that naturally attract investors? In this life, if you want to excel you copy what prosperous people did. Learn from successful people, stop doing the same thing your failed predecessors did and still failed. Do things differently with some touch of wisdom if you want a positive and rewarding outcome.
Even the Bola Tinubu going about the world begging investors doesn't even believe in Nigeria because most of his stolen wealth is stashed outside Nigeria.
Is Russian President going about begging the world to come and invest in Russia? Is Chinese Xi Jinping doing that? Even India, etc?
Put your house in order first before going about begging foreigners like a leper to come and invest in your country.
Dangote built refinery in Nigeria, Nigeria is an crude oil producing country yet Dangote is importing crude from USA to refine.
All these and many more points to the fact that Nigeria have a fundamental problem that need the President to sit down at home and work with competent hands from all tribes and regions to address, not jumping around the world dressed like a lost goat wearing yeye signature cap and parading your tribesmen forming tribal champion in 2023 and you expect all to be well?
Declare state of emergency in security matter in Nigeria and do a live broadcast warning all troublemakers, terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, terrorists and land grabbers disguising as herdsmen, give them a deadline to vacate or quit making Nigeria unsafe for Nigerians that your government will not tolerate it.
As you are doing that, you are issuing serious orders to all service chiefs on what and what to do, you are planning to do a mass recruitment of both Police, Army, Civil Defense etc, you are working more seriously on local or State Policing, if need be, on the temporary, you are negotiating with competent foreign mercenaries with a target to wipe out Terrorists, Bandits and anybody displacing farmers so farmers can confidently return to their farms all over Nigeria to boost food production and you are also creating modernized ways for animal herders to modernize their herding business to reduce clashes with farmers to boost that sector.
Open industrial hubs, open youth IT hubs in all 36 states where Nigerian youths can go to acquire topnotch global IT skills so we can start exporting IT experts.
Give order to Medical Council, Nursing Council, Pharmacy council to increase admission quota for medical and nursing schools so we can produce more medical professionals that we can even export to earn forex and approach WHO to remove Nigeria from red listed countries of countries lacking enough medical professionals and tell them we have more than enough and can even help other countries in need of medical professionals. Of course we have the youth population to produce medical professionals to serve Nigeria and the rest of the world.
Stop appointing mostly your tribesmen into key political positions, make it merit based no matter your tribe or religion. Harness our Diaspora experts.
Sit in Nigeria as President, stop all travels for 2 years and do these things and more that I cant pen down here, and watch Nigeria turn around. For once you make sense, because you veered from your normal hateful tribal bigotry. |
