PoliticsRe: Is Zoning Holding Nigeria Back? by mensdept: 2:03am On Nov 27, 2010
Zoning is why after the PDP rigging, there was no ethnic war because supporters of Buhari can not possibly attack supporters of Yar'adua or Atiku

And Supporters of Olu Falae can not possibly attack supporters of OBJ based on one ethnic group maltreating the other during elections.

So folks, zoning is not best practice but in Nigeria; for now it works.
Perhaps but,

What happens when it doesnt work, or isnt working, or Naija isnt moving forward, and instead, state legislators and national MPs are awarding themselves millions abi billions for cars, furniture, and maybe even jets?

You see, when a pretender is imposed on us in the name of ZONING, doenst perform, and dies, his slightly more competent Vice could be denied the natural ascendancy to be HOS. Then we have to renegotiate or return to square one.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Lawmakers Vote N348m For Cars, Each Member Gets N8.7 Million by mensdept: 1:58am On Nov 27, 2010
Is this supposed to be a fair-well gift for themselves (as if they are not sure of winning in the upcoming election?)

Can Fashola veto this silly bill, or can it be amended to guarantee the cars are the property of the people of Lagos, to be used by members of the next assembly in 2011?

Other than that, it's simply a shame
PoliticsRe: What Dora Akunyili Should Rebrand In This Country by mensdept: 1:55am On Nov 27, 2010
^^^^^^^^ Quite the contrary.

Many of those countries actually are more stable.

@poster, of course I agree with you, a total re-branding and name change as opposed to remaining a Niggaaar area that Oyibo has and still thinks we are.
PoliticsRe: Is Zoning Holding Nigeria Back? by mensdept: 1:43am On Nov 27, 2010
Is zoning really the best we can do? Even at the state level, criminals are using zoning as a reason to support one candidate over the other, instead of experience, track record, or accountability.

Was it not the same zoning that produced OBJ and Yar Adua?

How I wish our leaders, or rather our people, would fight to the last for honest elections instead of selections. That way, people like Fashola and Peter Obi would be in the majority.
SportsRe: Siasia To Negotiate Friendlies by mensdept: 1:33am On Nov 27, 2010
^^^^^^^^ Mr. Man, national team coaches (particularly those in Europe and S.AMerica) engage in organizing friendlies all the time.

I suppose you expect Sia1 to sit at home and allow NFF to do everything, or fly into the country once a week like Berti Vogts?

It's good he HAS a plan

We don't need to argue over this. The match was bound not to take place.I expected the football body to have looked for an alternative if they have ''diplomatic'' issues. This is not helpin' at all.
We should stop playin' low teams during international friendly days.
Na, according to 12large we need small teams like Haiti to play because we must do everything patch patch in Nigeria. France finished behind us in the last WC, but guess who they are playing, as well as Argentina who has a new coach.

See what this olodo is saying below

12large1:
we don't need quality matches now. what we need currently is average or small teams so we can test the new young players that siasia is likely to parade in 1year time we would be ready for the big boys why play brazil and spain now that we are still getting awake from sleep
I'm glad that at least the coach is already looking for a medal game for the WC in Brasil, whereas small minds like you are still stuck in mediocrity.

it is not an issue of running your mouth. The problem nigeria have had with leadership. Is projection. You have to project into the future.  It is not an issue of running your mouth. But an issue to avoid trouble.

We have to project into the future. If you have been reading my thread, I said nigeria was going to have problem with yar adua.   And you would know by nigeria, we did have a problem with his dead. I can predict event in Nigeria, because I know how the system works.

The project now is, you try to get them into benin republic, you dont do that you would end up in a bloodly civil war. Nigeria is the USA or the west.  they dont think like white people. the culture is different. You cant force them to have the same system like you have over here. it would not work. it would only result in a bloodly civil war.

The truth is if edo, delta and yorubas dont move to benin republic, nigeria would end up in a civil war.
Apparently YOUR problem is running your mouth. Talk talk talk like a godam PARROT. It's a shame. Even if I tried, I can't avoid your many silly post because of Satellite copy copy, facebook pirating, Rep. of Benin republic (which already exist) borrowing, you name it.

If your life is miserable, then there's nothing I can do or am willing to do to help ya pal!

You said there is "tension" between the two countries? So we are going to war? Yippy!!!

BTW, there's a difference between 9ja intercepting weapons from Iran and Iran sending weapons to 9ja. I know in your small brain it seems to be the same thang Mr. Man, but its not shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

AT first I thought this was a stupid thread, but then again, must we rename everything in Naija after political leaders? Even offices have been bastardized. In Nigeria, the office of the president includes rogues, coup plotters, assassins, fornicators, etc., not to talk of so-called "governors". Yet we look for rocks and forest and hills to name after who?

Just a thought
PoliticsRe: Daddy G.O. Adeboye Has Hold ON 8.4% Of All Voters In Nigeria by mensdept: 3:17am On Nov 16, 2010
Being a pastor in Naija is an opportunity to gain power, wealth, women, and prestige, just like military coup and election rigging. The fact that this is happening in Naija is a "TESTIMONY" that millions of our people are mumu, cowards, children-like, and complacent. You would think if our country was developed, clean water and air, constant electricity, good government, descent hospitals, a good soccer team and league, that everyone would be worshipping GOD and pastors would be considered angels themselves. But NO. Donate to pastor and not to community project or movement to rid your land of tyrants
SportsRe: Nigeria, Iran Game Called Off by mensdept: 3:04am On Nov 16, 2010
^^^Your post seems rather typical.

Brazil can play anyone. They are the ones people even want to "open" their stadium, like the one in ABUJA, and would pay the Brazilians $$$$ to do so.

We, on the other hand, have a sorry azz team, or rather, had a sorry azz team before the new changes here and there, and part of the problem is the lack of quality friendlies. When other countries have a comprehensive program to ensure success (including utilizing free days to play) we on the other hand, are playing Bosnia or Colombia, and often have to cancel the match, and waste opportunities to try formations and players.

You should actually spend time reading what the news is saying before writing like a child. Iran did not send bomb come Naija. Naija intercepted bombs that originated from Iran.

Plus, this is soccer, where N Korea plays against S Korea, USA plays against Iran or China, Argentina plays against England.

Cancel against Iran, fine, get us another country to play shyt

PoliticsRe: The Monster In Our Electoral System by mensdept: 2:31am On Nov 16, 2010
I applaud the courts attempt to on a snail pace, give the mandate back to the people and not the thieves. We all know if Uduagan didnt win or whatever, then it's very correct to ASSUME those who ran for senate, house, state house, all could not have won (as in Edo, Anambra, etc). So we have to make sure that each and every election is correct or close to correct as possible, so that we wont end up having complete sissies like Theo Orji in authority.

2) Why must we have an entire election in one period. Why can't we have structured elections (a third of candidates up for election every other year or so) as in Yankee? Just a thought
PoliticsRe: Daddy G.O. Adeboye Has Hold ON 8.4% Of All Voters In Nigeria by mensdept: 2:22am On Nov 16, 2010
Just look at the title of the thread. DADDY ADEBOYE HAS A HOLD ON 8.4% OF ALL VOTERS, blah blah, blah

You see how some of us think. One man already HAS the absolute control, command, and fate of 8.4% of Nigeria.

Well, thank God I'm not a part of that mumu 8.4% who cant think for themselves.

For KNOWALL, who are you trying to deceive? We dont need to be educated about your will to promote and advertise commercial enterprises aka the above church, here on Nairaland.

Who even dash em 5 million, because they are based in a metropolis called Lagos State they are now automatically 5 million.

Let us be serious for a change and drop our military experience mentality of so and so HAS HOLD on nonsense.
PoliticsRe: U.s Report Indicts Atiku On $40 Million Money Laundering by mensdept: 2:11am On Nov 16, 2010
This is not "NEWS". It has long been held that 1) Atiku was a thief, 2) He and some American contacts (including a US govt' official) were in shady deals and corrupt practices.

Yet, why can't the US extradite Atiku to face the music? I know some1 will say there are international laws and this and that, but that would make a huge statement to all those other criminals we get for Naija.

Look at EFCC. Yes they are making some strides, but everytime we hear "Over 20 governors have mishandled N700 million". Yet hardly any names presented by journalist/EFCC personnel.

James Ibori is a free man, Orji Kalu a free man, not to talk of IBB, Abdulsalami, OBJ, and a whole army of thugs.
PoliticsRe: Hiv Positive Nigerian Pilgrim Deported From Saudi Arabia! by mensdept: 2:03am On Nov 16, 2010
newgroom:
A 33-year-old female Nigerian pilgrim has been deported back home by the Saudi authorities for being HIV positive.

The pilgrim was said to have been screened by doctors on arrival at the King AbdulAzeez International Airport clinic, in Jeddah and was subsequently, deported back on the next flight to Nigeria .

This was confirmed yesterday in Jeddah by the head of Nigeria ’s medical team in Mecca Dr. Ibrahim Kana.

Dr. Kana said that the report of the deportation reached the medical team after the pilgrim had been deported, adding that he had met with the doctors who conducted the test on the pilgrim at the airport clinic to get to the root of the matter,

He said the Nigerian medical team will write to the Saudi health ministry to see how the deported pilgrim can be compensated in the next Hajj and to prevent future occurrence of such incidence.

According to him, based on the World Health Organisation regulation which Saudi Arabia is a signatory to, it has been agreed that no one should be denied entry into any country on account of being HIV positive.

However, he said that the Saudi authorites have expressed concern over the matter and apologised to the Nigerian government and had made an attempt to fly the pilgrim back to Jeddah but could not because the airlifting of Nigerian pilgrims to the Holy Land had been completed.

He added that as a result of a research conducted which showed that non-intake of anti-retroviral drugs by patient of HIV drugs for long which increases viral load in patient, the Nigerian government has through the medical team in Mecca supplied enough anti-retroviral drugs in all the clinics it established in Jeddah, Mecca and Madina.

This is why I like Saudi Arabia, Arab countries, and the West, along with China. They are serious nations/serious people.

Some 9ja people all scrambling to go to Saudi, 9ja government spending millions not on roads or HIV prevention, but to sponsor Hajj, some 9ja people killing and destroying Southerners and Christians because of Danish cartoon, World Pageant, even motion for independence (1957-sorry for retro), and 9ja President going MIA or is it vacation or checkup in Saudi Arabia.
PoliticsRe: Middle Eastern Nations Want To Break Nigeria – Sara-igbe by mensdept: 1:55am On Nov 16, 2010
abadaba:
Would you like Nigeria to divide into 4 countries namely: Eastern Nigeria, Western Nigeria, Northern Nigeria and Central Nigeria.
If 9ja was to be divided, of course it would have to be on favorable conditions to the people, and not for division sake. Meaning, the West should not have a Gbenga Daniel ruling any part (unless they are serious about partying instead of seriousness), the East should not have Theo Orji anywhere near authority (except money is still gonna be what wins in the East), etc, etc.

Yet, if you think about it, when was Naija really doing well, I mean, many of our structures (roads, hotels, airports, schools) were built/envisioned at a time where the regions exercised a large sense of autonomy. Why are we running away from that into 36+ useless states, senators, etc.

Great debate. Tired of reading about Igbo this, Yoruba that, Awolowo this, Emeagwali this. NONSENSE

The governors, state assembly, LGA chairmen (do we still have them?) are all to be held accountable. Because those at the fed level are fools, doesnt mean the local authorities should be fools, and in general, Naija people at large.

So yes, TODAY, what are YOUR governors and assemblymen doing in YOUR state, as opposed to history thesis on 9ja

SportsRe: Ghana, Cameroun Accuse Equatorial Guinea Of Playing Men At Africa Women's Championship! by mensdept: 1:28am On Nov 16, 2010
If the allegations are true, I think it will amount to a great sense of filth and shame for Africans. I mean, can we do anything right without the intervention of the WHITE or ARAB man?

Look at the last ANC in Angola, and how CAF treated the victims. Look at our teams (minus Ghana) and lat minute million dollar payoffs to white coaches in the last world cup. One word-shame.

Not to talk of over-age cheats, corrupt FA's, and brainwashing for EPL by our very own.
