SportsRe: NFF Names Samson Siasia As Eagles Coach by mensdept: 4:19am On Nov 08, 2010
mystolad:
Siasia has nothing to offer. We all know him to be a cheat. Tell me, how many of his under 20 boys are under 30? Despite going going to a tournament of under 20s with under 35 he still did not bring the trophy to Nigeria, tell me what he has got that his special. Someone said he monitored his spell at Heartland closely. During the champions league they showed no class, to be candid they are better before he came in than when he was appointed their coach. I promise he has nothing to offer. WATCH OUT

PoliticsRe: Senate Approves Life Allowances For Gowon, Obj, Ibb, Others *wives, Children Too by mensdept: 6:35am On Nov 07, 2010
So it's true. We can't even provide and pay the current lecturers and road/airport contractors but pay Abacha, who's son is in jail today for embezzlement and all. Even OBJ told us why Adolphus Wabara was removed for stealing, and his kids are smiling to Central Bank?

Guess this means its okay to overthrow and rape and plunder?

BTW, so Ironsi and Shagari didnt qualify lol, not to talk of Bello, Okpara, Awo, Hassan Katsina, Ojukwu, Ejoor, Nwafor-Orizu (doubled as Acting Pres and Senate Pres and has grown kids). Next would be Ambassadors and Vice-Chancz, and Emirs (who I'm sure are already collecting allowance)

There's so much craziness in 9ja that its shameful

However, the fact that we are all here on Nland educating one another (some deceiving one another) is a testimony that at least our people (if not the silly government) are not all totally a waste

PoliticsRe: Case For Split Of Nigeria Into Manageable Units by mensdept: 6:14am On Nov 07, 2010
Of course its very possible to split Naija into several nations. 6 probably not, but 3 or 4 yes.

However, that's a herculean task that could involve massive bloodshed and international crisis because, we all know those who dont want this split to ever happen, both internally and externally.

An alternative would be to decentralize the govt, which we've had somewhat before, and has led to the development that today many states have not matched.

This is nonsense. We are not fools. They are looking for "consensus" candidate and not a "credible" candidate because all they know is BY FORCE rule.

So are we supporting the North or are we supporting Goodluck Jonathan?

I want to know which side Goodluck's father was on in Biafra. If he said Biafra, then I shall support him.
Well pal, let that be between you and him, so that if you hear what you are hoping for, he can contest without fear or prejudice from others eh'.

Ah ah, why una dey vex?

Is it not true that many Naija men are unhappy at Christmas because of expenses?

But that doesnt mean that the blame should go to the Naija "black" wife that the poster has stressed. Because, it that WERE true, then what of introduction, TRAD, naming ceremony, dowry, baby dedication, white wedd, New Yam festival, and one or two Owambe hits?

So please, blame it on culture and not the Naija woman, because after all, in Yankee, Americans are spending billions a whole month before xmas on a day that for "men" is truly BLACK
(i.e. Black Friday).

PoliticsRe: Presidency: Igbo Have Agreed With North Over 2015 by mensdept: 5:17am On Nov 07, 2010
Andre Uweh:
I do understand that some Igbo people want power to shift to the north, but the North has had it for more than 35 years and nothing was achieved in those inglorious years.  Thank God for Ohanaeze, because those leaders have misled the Igbo.
What Ohanaeze is saying is that power does not rotate between the north and the south, but between the six geo-political zones.
The Ohanaeze executives have had a very careful study of all the presidential candidates for 2011 elections and have come to the conclusion that GEJ is better.
As it is now, 7 out of every Igbo is in support of GEJ.
Here in the U.K, am in constant touch with Imo state PDP chapter as well as the Chairman of PDP UK chapter who is also from Imo state. I know their opinions.
Am in touch with the president of Central backside of Nig in UK (CANUK) who is a friend and also Igbo and I know his opinion and his flock.
Believe me, Ohanaeze is right with the endorsement.
Clap for yourself Mr. Sabi.  cheesy
"The Ohaneze execs have had a careful study" my foot.

Look at someone who is a typical Igbo politician saying something quite interesting about the confusion of Ohaneze in the person of ABC Nwosu. Even what he's saying is also, generally pathetic and shameful. Here we are in 2010, when many countries have developed and provide great services for their people (including the UK that you live) and we are talking of IBB and how he will hand over the presidency to "Igbo" because he's truly divine.  grin

The only point that has been made by I believe chyz is that GEJ seems to be the best among prehistoric man i.e. Buhari, IBB, co, but of course, that's sentiment and hope that a Bayelsa man with Igbo "connections" will give a little bit more of a dayum for Igbo and Nigeria than those other rogues.

Finally, why is it that for Nwosu, reaching an agreement with the North means being a quiet, timid, and faceless Vice President?
PoliticsRe: The Governor Imo State Ikedi Ohakim Declares His Intention To Rule Again by mensdept: 4:58am On Nov 07, 2010
The rogue will contest and win the governorship of Imo state (whether real election or fraud/rigging).

Why? Because in Nigeria people are very complacent. Imagine Flavour and olodos like them all gearing up to take part in "we are the breadwinners" announcement.

So unless there's mass action, nothin go hapon '

Shame

siasia must watch out the intention of these criminals at the head. there is every possibility that they want to make a mess of siasia.
he shld concentrate on the football business and stay away from their illegalities and criminalities.
i see siasia as someone with what it takes to revive the super eagles that is only if the glass house will give him the free hands he need.
I agree 100%. Imagine to get a friendly match for a "big" country like Naija- Na problem. To put together a comprehensive package for player jerseys, bonus, insurance-Na problem. Even those Oyibo coaches in Europe may cause some problems too, plus greedy Naija politics.

So it's an uphill task for Sia1, but maybe this is the spark of a revolution desperately needed in this part of the world.
SportsRe: Open Letter To Samson Siasia by mensdept: 4:45am On Nov 07, 2010
I hope the new "elected" leadership of NFF is sincere and will not scuttle Sia1 program with lack of friendly matches, cash rows, and all the usual off pitch corruption.

the world economy may crash if a northerner becomes president. i know southerners are going to bomb up all the pipeline. We are paying through our nose over here already with oil prices.
If a northerner becomes president, oil price would double in prices. because they would blow up nigeria production lines. And that would see the end of world economy.

We need to reach acord.
We remove edo, delta and yoruba people from nigeria.  That way Jonathan remain president of the rest of nigeria or if he want to come. We reach agreement and fine him something.
Why is Becomrich trying to smuggle Bendel folks with Yoruba people?
PoliticsRe: Why Is Ethnicity More Important Than Religion by mensdept: 4:04am On Nov 06, 2010
All this talk of ethnicity and religion is welcome, though it's just common sense.

In Naija, the two are important, and depending on who you are, where you live, what you stand to gain or lose, and what you believe, one or the other can outweigh the other.

The Yoruba people (dont mind those claiming Arabs/Islam was introduced in ALL Yorubaland before Christianity) can claim that their ethnicity is more important than religion, since they are not entirely Moslem, Pagan, or Christian (which could imply those stereotypes about them not being committed to anything (except partying cheesy) ), yet religion can supersede ethnicity for a Yoruba if being Moslem gives him the governor nomination in a state that has a large moslem population (i.e. Kwara) or party chairmanship.

The Igbo people are clearly Christian (large catholic/anglican groups) with few pagans, and being Christian for them has created a culture similar to what Westerners value as attaining modernity and being "developed". Yet, religion alone hasnt brought them THAT close to ALL the southern neighbors (Plus GOWON cheesy ), because ethnicity is very strong.

The Fulani (i.e. hausa-fulani) are (mostly) Moslem and that's first and foremost in all their dealings within and outside their immediate environ. Period. It doesnt mean they cant do business and have relations with others, but even before the cloud settles, they see the cloud and its settling as directive from ALLAH.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Orders Early Completion Of Road Projects In S-east by mensdept: 3:48am On Nov 06, 2010
Wow, so Igbo man chief of army staff, well lets back track, GEJ is Azikiwe, Igbo, and within 4 months GBAM-Enugu Airport internationalized, Roads in SE must be completed, and Anambara state the brain box of the nation eh?

Surprising what being a president and trying to contest for president can do. But all those responsible for airport extension and road completion are saying the same thing, that money earmarked for the projects were either not enough, have not been fully released, or gona be released in increments (i.e. 2011 and so)

Stand to be corrected
PoliticsRe: "niger-delta" Does Not Exist? True Or False. by mensdept: 3:42am On Nov 06, 2010
Of course Naija Delta exist in the same vein Nigeria exist. If people say there is no real sense of "Nigeria" and everything that term represents, then there's no such thing as Niger-Delta
PoliticsRe: How Does The Thieving Of Corrupt Nigerians Affect Their Kids? by mensdept: 3:41am On Nov 06, 2010
Of course many of them dont care. Some are oversees doing coverup jobs trying to not get noticed by anyone. The fmr chairman of INEC has his daughter in yankee and she's workin as a manager in a dept store, using a weird ghetto name and driving nice cars and livin well.
PoliticsRe: ‘it Must Be A Northerner Or No Nigeria’ by mensdept: 3:38am On Nov 06, 2010
GEJ will contest the election and prob will get the nomination of PDP, and then go on to win. So those AREWAns who were def and dumb when YarAdua was MIA for almost a year, and even MIA when he was selected to be prez, are NOW making noise. You can't rule and dominate a place and people that you are not superior to forever, nor cry foul when you started the whole wahala in the 1st place

silly question angry angry

Igbos are not christians by nature . . .what happen to the festivals, sacrifices, rituals they offer and idols they worship till date? Europeans got there first before other parts of the country

Yorubas are not ifa worshippers by nature . . .It is the African tradition/culture. . .Arabians got there first before the Europeans
Hausas are not muslims by nature . . .they have idols they worship till date. . . Arabians got there first before the Europeans

You ask if someone would choose Christianity/Islam/idols as against race/ethnic . . . in what language will the person communicate, what will be his state of origin, culture and history?

2. What is your business with the religion of the governor? Is that what leadership is all about or competence and achievements? Or is God complaining?
Clearly you are not a scholar on history. Who said Arabians got to Eko before Europeans, or that Igbo people did not have contact with northern groups prior to British campaigns?

Islam, which came 600 years after Christianity was established, borrowing from Christian and Jewish texts, is the sole importance of many Northern Naija folks, and they'll identify with that first and Nigeria unity second (i.e. Sharia)
Jason we all want a peaceful environment for our children unborn, but the corrupt Northerners and their brothers have made the system so corrupt that free and fair elections are no longer obtainable. How many of the Nothern ex presidents came into power through a credible election. It is so painful when you marginalize a particular people and expect them to be happy with the system. Just for a few period they are not in power they have been causing unnecessary chaos everywhere and what do you expect Ndigbo that have not been there to do
Yes of course a marginalized group will not want to continue on that path when those who are not better are enjoying not only their eba but the marginalized groups eba as well.

But throwing Theordore Orji or Chris Uba as President to suit Igbo and Nigeria for the sake that they are Igbo will make matters worse. You'll be surprised that those Northerners causing trouble everywhere are united in that regard and not approaching politics with "People will dash us come 2015 or 2520"
