Does it make sense that a woman thinks that cooking, cleaning and doing chores for a man when he ain't your hubby is counterproductive but him paying your bills and bearing some of your financial burden when you are not his wife is good? |
Poverty and underdevelopment has adversely affected the psyche of ladies in our land. So a date is ONLY complete to some if the guy picks and drops them off with a car? In other climes where drivinng a car means absolutely NOTHING, YOU FIND OUT THAT ITS ONLY A MATTER OF CONVENIENCE BASED ON CIRCUMSTANCE THAT CARS ARE TAKEN FOR DATES.. What if I aint somone that likes driving most of the time? Her loss if she calls a male friend. Simple. |
There are some schools and departments within those schools that having only one carryover for example actually means you are intelligent. Yea quote me anywhere and if you are a graduate of ABU zaria, having only one carryover in departments like, pharmacy, vet medicine, economics, chemistry and a few others is NOTHING to be ashamed of mostly around the time I graduated (2008). Trust me op, if it was my sch back then u already lost 40 marks CA, your second name in that course is CARRYOVER regardless of how brilliant you are or how serious. By and large though, most of your points are very valid in most cases regarding how to avoid carryovers. Thanks. |
I dont think this op knows what living abroad as a graduate really entails. The truth of the matter is that most of these countries have structures in place that cannot be bypassed mostly if you haven't been educated in their country. You find out in most cases that graduates that do these jobs do them for just a while pending when certification exams can be passed in the host country thereby gaining access to study in a feild one claims to be proficient in. In short, any graduate that really knows his/her onions only does most of the listed jobs for a short while. What u dont know also is that a mortuarian for example in d US earns more than most graduate bankers in Nigeria so who really gives two hoots? |
I dont understand what this means. So because the president doesn't need to "fight everybody" he should now fold his arms and watch a suspected criminal flaunt court orders? Aren't these the same set of people that have been criticizing the president that he hasn't been respecting court orders? One thing is for sure: this is the FIRST TIME in my conscious life that there is any remote possibility that a BIG THIEF in Nigeria faces the possibility of getting commensurate punishment. Now anybody knows that there is COMSEQUENCE for IMPUNITY. Just like how Jonathan (no matter how much you loath him) left the legacy of conceeding defeat in a presidential election, public officials will find it very difficult stealing funds henceforth. I know its only a matter of time b4 the circle reaches the APC members. In politics and anyboy with half a brain knows that no one who intends to succeed in public office will start fighting people around him within the first year of being helped into office. Buhari will strike when the time is right. There is no way people like saraki can escape this retribution. People think governance and being president of a country like Nigeria is d same with being PTA chairman. |
You have given her the wrong signal that you cant do without her. She is also a control freak that wants everything done her way by quarrelling because you asked. Don't be carried away by her 'beauty' my friend. In women, it actually lies in her heart NOT her face. |
If you have ever lived a a serene, spacious and peaceful nothern city, Lagos will make you sick. A very great city for those used to the bustling lifestyle obtainable there though. I for one ain't a fan. |
An average Nigerian has problem with tenses. Has, have, had....... All used in most cases inappropriately and interchangeably. This post nearly blinded me! Chai. |
The best thing to do in this situation is to be half heartedly honest with the boy. Truth be told, a 10 year old boy ain't particularly 'kiddish' these days as I have a very close friend who started having sex at d age of 12(and that was 15 years ago). Talk sex with your boy and make him know its an act you as a dad have earned the right to indulge in. Trumpet the dangers of doing it without 'licence' into his ears then pray somehow God helps you erase it from his mind. God bless. |
My biggest joy is that there is hardly any of these indicted people who can successfully defend their innocence hence all this 'witch hunt' uproar. |
