At a point when I was reading this your post, I thought i was d one typing. I am in EXACTLY the same situation right now and have concluded that the girl I'm with doesn't give a shit about me so I stopped calling her like two days ago and that's how it shall remain until she begins to put in genuine effort. If she doesn't also, then the relationship ends right now! Trust me bro, if you force your way into the life of such a woman that shows u such disregard, 20 years from now, you will be regretting seriously. There is nothing worse than a boring wife who puts in no effort at making a home happy. Like me, MOVE ON AND DON'T LOOK BACK unless she retraces her ways! |
sinaj:u bet I will. Thank u. |
sinaj:you are very intelligent my dear. I am dating a very ill mannered virgin I am gonna run away from. I cant imagine my life 20 years from now living with such a woman n I hav stuck to the 'no sex' agreement for three years now. Beautiful and a virgin at almost 26 but those are the only sustainable qualities I see in her. |
The difference between a typical northerner and southerners in this country is that raw BOLDNESS. Not that southerners aren't bold but they arent as foolhardy as northerners. When push comes to shove, this militants and their collaborators will know that the 'suicideal nature' of BH is what has made them last dis long. Starting a war is much easier than sustaining it. I wish these people know what they are dipping their hands into. |
Mprepz:lol @flog Memphis. I'm a united fan and watching that team these days is a punishment. Blind is actually a good footballer. Carrick is old, mcnair is garbage and mata is lightweight. Rooney is finished and fellaini is crap! |
This is unbelievable. Adult hausa women are usually big fans of the best perfumes available. Infact its a trademark in the north to use deodorants and perfs mostly amongst the educated and business class (not labourers and almajiri's ooo). |
terminatorrr:you said it well man. To add to that, many people think success=money which is seriously flawed reasoning. In the real sense, success should be doing what makes you happy regardless of the amount of money realized from it. The truth of the matter is that she is slowly infecting more young ladies with this rivalry mentality that can't simply speak of female greatness without mentioning male antagonism. |
Alejhandro:my thoughts exactly. On a neutral level one on one with a soldier with fists as weapon I shall take many of them. I once told one blatantly at a filling station that he had no backup and stands no chance against me so he should just respect himself and he backed down. Afterall many of us are soldiers in our own right. Forget d uniform! They only have mouth when they weild a gun or they are in numbers against just you. Though some are really brave, these ones that love to batter civilians are eternal cowards! |
Study has shown that a man's life can be cut short by 26 percent if u marry a horrible wife. It is also proven that though men tend to be drift more in marriage, women can endure better. Point is as a man, if u know what is good for you, look carefully b4 u choose a wife. From my own personal experience and as hard as it is for me to admit, the more beautiful ladies mostly have less substance that endures. That sacrifice and cheerfulness that makes a woman special simply isn't there most times. |
IamMissMarvel:I don't really understand what relationships are REALLY about these days. Who told you that your friend that is getting married before you is really "happier?" one thing I know for sure is that the definition of true love and happiness is one and usually has no additives. These days what is convenient for us is what we 'love'. And that's the ONLY reason girls get apprehensive cos of friends getting married. Moving with d trend is 'convenience' and not love. When you have got something special going, live in d present and keep it. |
datigbogirl:Run along now dear. I can see you have added new words like 'goon' to your vocabulary. How smart you are. I'm so proud of you! |
datigbogirl:Typical Nigerian youth you are. Cant make a point without personal insults and jibes. |
datigbogirl:So Metuh is your idea of innocent person? No wonder Africa is d way it is and Nigeria is running in circles! |
PoliticalThuG:It is just a way of mortification. Just d way you are adviced to abstain from sin and vices at this time. It is church tradition. |
The reason why the natl assembly reads the budget in the first place is to find such loop holes. Now seems everybody is waking up to their responsibilities. That in itself is change. How can people possibly conclude that the motive for this gap was to steal? Even if it was, stealing which is now corrption is easier to discover and unravel now. Progress for me! |
irunoobo:so because it is Nigerian made it is fake? Africans! |
tplacid:my brother I think it is amateurish for me to start brandishing my study width on nairaland and trust me, I am a serious student of history and a development scholar 4 a bit. Are we d only continent or people to have been colonized and our resources plundered? What happened to china, singapore, malaysia, india and all the asian countries who have in the last 50 years overtaken and developed? Weren't they colonized and bastardized and their development truncated by the west too? Why do Africans and especially Nigerians continue to sing this song? Are we the only country with diversity issues? Pls check the ethnic composition of Singapore and all the south-east asian countries that are championing the global south-south cooperation. Let me summarise thus for you my friend: diversities can NEVER be eliminated and realities are always constant. Anybody or nation that wants to develop MUST study history, learn from it and make sure the mistakes of history that brought stagnation are NOT repeated. In africa, we know history, learn the mistakes and continue REPEATING them and blaming others. If you read the write up I picked excerpts from that sparked this dialogue further, you will see where Lugard made reference to 'Asiatics' being at par with europeans. Isn't it showing today? that is my point. We like to shout out how we are of equal intellect with other races (which I absolutely agree) but do close to nothing to PROVE it. There is nothing worse than living in self denial and thats what I am trying to point out. Strategic reasoning is borne from the importance of people chart a course that gives them an identity. We still bicker about our identity and threaten others with annihilation because of thrivialities. I need to stop...... |

GEJPosterity:to be honest with you my friend, I didnt. The first few lines already showed you had misunderstood the crux of my submission. And I made the first submission and insist that your first reply is off point. To painstakenly explain to you why I say you are off point is what I cant really do. You sound like someone interesting though. Nice meeting you! |
GEJPosterity:Now this is still the AFRICAN problem. Every statement has a contex. I quote him because regardless of what you dig up about him and how bad his foundations were, almost ALL he said manifests till this day. I will just overlook the veiled insult from you because arguing on social media in my opinion is for retards which I am not. Try understanding the CONTEXT of statements b4 concluding. It shows enlightenment. |
"in character and temperament, the typical African of this race type is a happy, thriftless excitable person lacking in self control, discipline and foresight. Naturally corageous and naturally courteous and polite, full of personal vanity, with little sense of veracity, fond of music and loving weapons as an oriental loves jewelry. His thoughts are concentrated on the events and feelings of the moment, and he suffers little from the apprehension for the future, or grief for the past" Lord Lugard in 'our dual mandate' 1926. Just read this piece and compare with this assessment by Lugard 90 years ago of Nigerians/Africans. Seems we have an inherent propensity to self-destruct. I believe being strategic and progressive is NOT a function of your race BUT personal decision. Im so lost for words when I read reports like this. I have made a personal decision though. Don't know about you..... |
Julietekekwe1:And know me well enough to pass this judgement on me? This is still what I meant with my first statement. All we know how to do is insult and tear down. I have personally made a resolution to live a life of forebearance and enlightenment. Dont know about you. |
I am Seriously worried about the kind of human beings we are in Nigeria and Africa in general. So terrorists are trying to overrun a state capital and militants are bombing pipes elsewhere and people are still gloating? Lord Lugard described Africans aptly when he said we are "thriftless indisciplined and lack foresight". Our country is bleeding and its citizens are rejoicing. Stay where u r and gloat. Your turn is coming. God save innocent lives in Maiduguri and our soldiers. |
Call her, give yourself two hot slaps b4 her, tell her u r sorry and love her more than anything then ask to kiss her a little there and then. |
There you have it. Treat your dad/child/wife/etc the way you want others to treat them. --- We abuse GEJ and PMB without realizing that we are inadvertently desecrating the seat of The President, Federal Republic of Nigeria. Other Nationals now have the temerity to call a former Nigerian president a Buffoon. Would they address president Obama or Bush like that? skipo0491:The most unfortunate thing about this whole matter is that given as things stand, Faleke stands very little chance of making headway in Kogi politics going foward. The party obviously dont give a f**k about him. The worst that can happen is for the courts to order a repeat of the election in which case Bello will fly for APC. Faleke supporters pls take a chill pill. You fighting a lost battle! |
The worst part is that 90 percent of them will ALWAYS claim it means nothing to them. In the long run, their actions will speak louder than thie freaking words! |
DirtyGold: DirtyGold: DirtyGold: |
People that think Buhari cant probe IBB because he doesnt have the balls are just ignorant. 1. Buhari was head of state BEFORE ibb and his senior so superiority and seniority favours him. 2. Buhari is a FULANI man from KATSINA and anyone that has any iota of knowledge about Nigerian ethnic groups and xter know cowardice aint exactly a trait of ANY true fulani man talkless of a retired general. If you mention REASON as a viable factor, it will make sense. |

Faleke nko? How APC allowed this man wrongfully inherit, what is duly Faleke's is unbelievable!!! I can smell loads of court days ahead!!! Audu should have delayed his death till after inauguration. When Atiku was called to be VP, his deputy automatically became the Governor When GEJ was automatically promoted to president, on the demise of Usman!!!! What makes Faleke's case different? APC is here for change indeed (they simply want a puppet).
the mistake you are making is that in all the cases you mentioned, the candidates had already outrightly won the election. I don't know how else it can be explained to people like you that the election was INCONCLUSIVE as at the time Audu died hence making it a totally different case from anything ever seen. Mind you also my friend, Yahaya Bello is an EBIRA man. If you have ever met and related with anyone of the people of this ethnic group, you will know they are hardly ever puppets to anyone! As for Faleke, I think he is fighting against the tide though there is some merit in his case. Noone fights the party that produced you. Its a lost cause! |
I have applied for DSSC in the army(twice), Airforce (thrice) and Navy (twice) since I passed out of NYSC in june 2010. I must confess my experience from all that time heightened the despair I have for this country. At 1.79 meters tall and good built plus great academic record from one of best universities in Nigeria, I had high hopes.. As Nigeria is a country where merit counts for nothing and connection is everything, children of ordinary people like us stand very little chance. The most annoying part of it is that during screening, you see short officers who obviously dont meet the prerequisite criteria feeling cool around you. Such a shame that even the armed forces which is suppose to be a thing of valor taken over by mediocrity and the influential. |
