RICHOLAC:Ibo is known for industriousness and economic prowess. Toll gate is all about money and industry. Are you rejecting money now? Unheard of!!! You must not be Ibo. |
meccuno:Ndi Ipob! You don start... |
I want Ibos here in Nairaland to know that there is a very bad blood and tension between us and it's not because of anything historically that we have done to bring this about. We are both victims of mis-fitting in a political space. The disharmony results from political power struggles in a political landscape hewned together by a foreigner. Nonetheless, it is worth appreciating that thension is very managable through outlets such as Nairaland. What ordinarily would have erupted into fracas on streets is dissipated as heat and venom on internet. I do not believe a Yoruba would fail to act and rescue an Ibo in a distress situation. Neither do I think if a Yoruba was struggling for life an Ibo nearby will refuse to act. Above and beyond the tension that tear us apart our humanity recognizes and responds to the inner emotions to preserve and nourish life. I love my Ibo brothers and sisters....but we no go see eye to eye from now until Nigeria is finished and everybody go hin way. ![]() |
Lecturers were focused on one thing....boobs and ikebe. If you got both and you attended univeraity in Nigeria you got harrassed, beauty or ugliness was not a factor....they were chasing anatomy. So we dont need individual cases. We assume it was a culture, period! |
See people crying for development, now saying they will dismantle development if it was brought in. What does Ibo want gaan ![]() |
PDP no get their time. They should try KOWA |
LOMBARDY:Lmao! Wetin persin never see here. When they hit dead end and dont know how to move forward...when haters run out of defense lines they resign to the last straw....they blame their sufferhead on Afonja. Quite honestly, akporo aha n'ile...onye ojoo na juju. ![]() As far Ibom language goes i cant. ![]() |

Our women are wifey materials, preserved and nurtured. Igbo women are for our bleeping pleasure. ![]() Travel through Yorubaland on weekends. Even your fulani masters can attest, their income on any weekend in Yorubaland alone far outpace what they rake in the rest of West Africa. Thats because of Yoruba weddings. ![]() Same cannot be said of Iboland. Why are your women not wedded? Yoruba Amaka!!! ![]() |
Convictus Okeke Kwenu! Kwenu!! Kwenu!!! Represent...Eeast Side!

May his soul rest in peace! |
This jnr has no shame. Look at the way they referenced him in the article. Son of Dim Ojukwu's deputy! How about address him as son of former Leader of Biafra, Phillip Effiong? Was his father not the Leader of Biafra after gbrugbru fled? He should contest that reference first before worrying on whor or not is incluaive in Biafra. |
I cant understand. What's going....what happened ![]() Mmmmmtccchheew.... |
Professors are trying to bend nature backward using education as excuse. We already have law that stipulates age of maturity. Why do we need to beg people not to marry girls below 18. Let the law have that converstaion with them. The problem is not the men but lack of enforcement. Prof Adesina should address throwing men in jail that go after underage girls. As im speaking to you white men from Europe and US are booking flights to Africa...they are xoming with cameras and video equipments to exploit our under age. They dare not try that in their own country and not go to prison. Where is our law and why is it not enforced? Thats the problem! A 50yr old village man marrying a 13yr old girl. Throw him in jail and throw the inlaws in jail as well. Where is the cow he gave for dowry....slaughter the dayam coe and feed the village. Go gangster on them! |
MelesZenawi:Meles, Are you aware that Lord Lugard is the one that turned Kaduna to Hausa controlled state? That dude is a basterd! The first capital of Northern region was Lokoja. They moved it to Kontagora briefly. Finally they moved it to Kaduna. He robbed the indigenes rights on their land. Britain took missionaries North but the Fulanis told them they cannot evangelize their faith past the Kataf line. They drew a line for them. So their missionaries succeeded in converting Katafs, Kajes into Christianity but then put the faithfuls of Jesus Christ, who they told are going to heaven by accepting Jesus, under the control of Fulani jihadists. Not only that...my Yoruba leaders make me very angry sometimes. The symbol of Arewa is Yoruba owned. It is one of the signage of Yoruba dynasty. There are pictures of Yoruba buildings and even of our Obas and Crowns, dating back as far white people began recording film and photograph in Nigeria, on the embroidery you will see the knot....and this is far back into like 1890s Its a knot! You cannot see any picture or film from North or of any Emir with a picture of the knot before 1956. So how did it become a symbol in North? West had traditional symbols in different dimensions and artistry. North had none. According to them Islam forbids symbolization of non-Islamic arts. Bloody Governor McPherson was looking for a symbol, a political totem to give them for representation. He took the Yoruba symbol and gave to them to use. This is how that symbol has stayed with them to date. I believe Yoruba can reclaim it. But I know my leaders our Omoluabi is fanatical sometimes and they would rather not care. If i take you to sea and tell in daytime you to point North you should do so correctly. You find where the sun is located at that particular time. Using sun as reference you will find North. At night time if i ask you to point East, how do you find it? ![]() Thats the secret behind that Yoruba knot! ![]() In Yoruba it is actually called Arewa! Yes, Arewa is in Yoruba language. It denotes the NORTH STAR! So the knot is one of the articles of covenant from our ancestral history. At sea, and at night, if you can spot the North Star you can navigate smoothly as if it was daytime... ![]() I sit with Elders amd take notes. |
Omoboricash:Thanks. Kaje is what I meant for Diane, not Kuje. Sorry. Kuje is Abuja. Although same Gbagyi people own the ancestral land from Abuja to Kaduna but sub clans exist at different points. |
olasaad:You are correct!! I have in my possession a research conducted on the sociology of non-Hausas from South that Hausanized (meaning they Islamized) so they can trade in peace and not be bothered. Do Hausas coming to South abandon their culture so they can trade in peace? No! . Western education is nothing but scholarship teaching Western knowledge. My people have turned education itself into a religion and we worship it. No one cares in North if you have education or not. Some of the people that rule over us were almajiri in their youth. Yes, i mean it! Some of the Presidents or Heads of State from North that have ruled us started as almajiri on streets with bowls in hand and attending madrasahs before fate intervened and they ended up in privilege. In South if you dont have education you are automatically disqualified from even speaking atvfamily meeting. Not to talk contesting election. We worship western values, it has become a religion. How many times you hear of white foreigners maltreating their employees in North? They have factories up there where they hire local Northerners. They might not pay them what they are worth in labor but they will never whip them or slap them or punch them. In South here...ordinary fwckng Indian will slap us and even threaten to call police to lock us up. ....and they dont pay us well either. Respect! Cultural independence and self pride breeds a fear of unknown in your opponents. It restrains them from abusing you...because they dont know what to expect if they do. But when we act, speak, dress and swag like same buffoon character they see on tv then we are treated as dependents and slapped like dependents. ![]() BBN teaches our youths to act and behave with buffoonery and carefree swag. Not good! ![]() |
Binikingdowm:They dont value education, they have bokoharam does not give us in South reason to throw away values and turn show of nu.dity into mainstream enteritainment. Besides, i dont even know why im speaking for South. Thats where i went wrong....I should be focused on advocating anti-BBN in Yoruba homes. This is when regional govt will do us good so our govt can filter the show of shame. |
See as Ibo dey disgrace themselves. If we bring out records of your cannibalism now you will star crying to UN that Yoruba hate you. Ok o kwantinuu!! ![]() G.T Basden- Amongst the Ibo loading... |

You see! Everytime i hear of hero in Lagos I can bet Ibo woman. Ibo women should lead biafra. Kanu is utterly useless.! Ibo women are omoluabis! ...on the other hand, everytime i hear crime committed in Lagos I know who it is. ![]() Kwenu!! Kwenu!! Kwenu!! My sisters are representing! ![]() Good job! |
Binikingdowm:I am Yoruba. You are panicking over nothing. The question raised is a social one. The response i gave is a social one. Its left to reader to pick his truth through them. Perharps you have never seen my posts in politics section when i descend on Fulani. Follow me and you will witness it one day. I have nothing against Hausa, they are the worse victims out of all victimized peoples in Nigeria. |
ChaleeBendel:There is also a tactic used at diplomatic level to dominate a political landscape. Dominate in the sense that you can shape the destiny of your competitors if you have free access to their society. Nigeria leads politics and commerce of Africa. MTN is SA owned. BBN is a syndicate owned by SA. They also own DSTV. SA can disrupt Nigeria's leadership as a front runner in the Continent by socially engineering our mindsets and perception of ourselves through these three inputs into our economy. At the diplomatic level you have espionage and sabotage. Espionage is collecting information to use in formulating a best sabotage to deploy and exploit targets. Each year more people are tuning in to BBN. People protested maltreatment of Tacha but none will protest maltreatment of villagers wiped out and raping of women by herdsmen. Its a dumb-down tactic. You separate people from their own conscience and make them accept your doctrine on tv as a better alternative of comfort and wellbeing than protesting crime.....even with knowledge that they are likewise a target of the criminal. They cant help it....you have succeeded in separating what they need to assess and prioritise self survival. The next step is to turn them to a franchise of your doctrines...whatever you choose to download into their brain, they have no choice in it. The faculty that makes choice has been separated from flesh. ![]() Next BBN will have even more viewers and subscribers....tuning in and voluntarily submitting themselves for spirit-matter separation. |
Simplyleo:Wallahi! ![]() Preacher is looking for gullible ipobs to come and pay tithes. Private jet loading..... Chineke! ![]() |
ChaleeBendel:Their strong cultural identity is why they hold political advantage in Nigeria. ![]() They abhor Western values....even amongst their most educated. Look at Indians, they were also colonized, like Nigeria...correct? They speak a non Western language, practice a non Western religion, dress in non Western styles. They demonstrate culture....but that has not immuned them to social challenges. Arabs, you will be shocked at the number of Arab graduates from US and UK. They do not practice Western values. Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong.....all places indoctrinated and colonized by English but after independence they returndd to their ways and abandoned foreign language and religion. Hausas in North are discussing going that route with language. In the South we compete on who is more foreign and Westernized. Now with BBN we compete for who is more pro-Western in behaviour and swag. pro-Western has goods and bads. We copy the bad and turn it to our mainstream....a model, an exemplary, fed to young people....a model of what they should aspire to be. A dream! |
