maasoap:...you worship the son of a foreign carpenter today. Why cant Yorubas worship their own carpenter son, whats wrong with it? |
I dont know which is your priority in Ekiti at moment but hopefully its not grammar. So im wondering why a grammarian is your governor? Security is our main concern in SW I have been preaching tthatat next election our people should vote those who know security....vote an OPC candidate. OPC on their part must field candidate or put a process in place to begin vetting candidates ahead for endorsements. I wish the best to your mum, this is not good for her at all that her dependent care is unavailable for so long. I hope he is freed soon, and well. |
igbodefendercom:I already converted her movement and valued it at $5mil. It could double over next few days. Any fashion merchant that does not grab Tacha for marketing right now is a looser! This girl is moneymaker! ![]() |
Tacha is now worth millions! Most celebrities started like this and you really cant lay finger on something tangible they produced but their net worth changed overnight just with acceptability and popularity.. If Tacha lived in America her phone will be ringing hot because producers, agents, bookers, promoters....all trying to get her on their label and market her swag. She currently is worth over 5million dollars between last night and tonight. By Monday she could double her worth if the hysteria does not die down. This is how Kardashian sisters made money...controversy. |
mrvitalis:The same way that Fulani with his one vote overruled three votes in South to become the powerholder. How did that happen? ![]() |
denjjy:You got this result from their autopsy, or in a tutorial at Harvard? ![]() We are telling you 36 cows were struck dead from lightening you are talking about sound decibel and fright. Even if their death was from the flash.....bottom line is Sango killed them. I dare you to go eat the meat nau. ![]() |

Crownbackhome:Get lost! The efficacy of Koran resides in your heart. The cover is coming off their eyes, almajiri population is discovering the truth on their own and putting Hausa first ahead of dan fodio. I hope my Yoruba people will also discover and open eyes. Islamic creeds came out of Yoruba traditions. Respect your deities above the deities of Arabia, Yoruba first. |
chiefolododo:Shut up there! Koran is an instruction, it is in the spirit. Whats written on paper is a distribution to spread around. The paper is destroyed, not the message. |
SLAP44:People who had wisdom and knowledge tabled it before the colonialists....at a time when Ojukwu was still a dependent on his father....your ancestor Azikiwe killed it. It's not a new call. It has been circulating since the 1940s. Wake up! |
Especially snake. Even snake see person and take off trying to hide from view my people go still pursue am. That nonsense must stop. If i see person pursue a fleeing snake we go fight o. ![]() |
KADUNA, Nigeria (Reuters) - Nigerian authorities on Saturday scrambled to find the families of hundreds of men and boys freed from a purported school where some had been kept in chains, tortured and allegedly sexually abused. Police freed as many as 400 males aged from six to 50 from the house in Kaduna in northern Nigeria in a raid on Thursday. Some had been chained to radiators, tires or hub caps, and others bore visible signs of scars from whippings and beatings. More than a dozen, including 10 children, were hospitalized on Saturday. All the adults were in critical condition, with one vomiting blood. Police set up a makeshift camp for the others on the edge of the city and were trying to register the freed inmates. In one of the buildings at the camp, children queued to register their names against a list, later laughing and playing before being served a plate of noodles. Outside, dozens of parents, faces contorted with worry, gathered to collect their children. Some had paid tuition fees to the men running the house believing it to be an Islamic school, while others viewed it as a correctional facility with no expectation of instruction. Kaduna state police spokesman Yakubu Sabo said the "dehumanized treatment" they discovered made it impossible to consider the house an Islamic school. Local media said some of the children had been tortured, starved and even sexually abused. Reuters was unable to immediately verify the reports. Hafsat Mohammed Baba, the state's commissioner of human services and social development, told Reuters a headcount had accounted for just 190 people, including 113 adults and 77 children. The reason for the discrepancy in numbers was not immediately clear, but authorities said some of those freed had immediately fled. Police raided the site after a relative was denied access. Seven people who said they were teachers at the school were arrested. Police called on families from across the region, from the suburbs of Kaduna to the nearby countries of Ghana, Mali and Burkina Faso, to collect the individuals. Despite reports of abuse, some were reluctant to return home with their family members. FRESH WOUNDS Nineteen-year-old Sani Shuaibu told Reuters he was "happy but hungry" as he ate a plate of spaghetti after being met at the camp by his elder sister and mother. He spent three months at the building after being sent there by his family to alter his behavior. Civil servant Auwalu Sanni, who stood stony-faced beside his seven-year-old son, said: "I'm happy now that I have seen my son, but I'm not happy about how they treated him." Moments earlier the child was smiling as he was reunited with his father, but his expression changed as he showed the fresh wounds on his left arm and legs that he said were the result of being struck with a plank of wood. Mohammed Sani Abu Sha'aban, a father of 13 from the Kaduna suburb of Nasarawa, sent two of his sons - a 16-year-old and 25-year-old Jamilu - to the school for more than three years. He paid 34,000 naira ($111) per term and said it had helped his sons, particularly Salim. "Now that they are set free, he may relapse into his past negative attitude of absconding from school and other vices," Sha'aban said. Islamic schools, known as Almajiris, are common across the mostly Muslim north of Nigeria. Widespread poverty prompts many parents to leave their children at the institutions, yet they have been dogged by reports of abuse and accusations that some children are forced to beg on the streets rather than get an education. Some activists have called on the government to outlaw the schools. "We are glad that Muslim authorities have dismissed the notion of the embarrassing and horrifying spectacle as (being an) Islamic School," said a statement issued by President Muhammadu Buhari's office. "To stop unwanted cultural practices that amount to the abuse of children, our religious and traditional authorities must work with the federal, state and local governments to expose and stop all types of abuse," said the statement. Sha'aban, who said he visited regularly and never saw signs of poor treatment, called on the state to keep the Kaduna facility open. "The closure of the school is really a source of concern and very disturbing to us who have unruly children and wards," he said. barlkeez:Ode! You dont know what an "owambe" dress is. This does not qualify. Toke is wearing a long lingerie |
See what they do for desecration of Koran. Imagine what they would do for desecration of mosque. Any wonder that Sango fired 36 cows for desecrating shrine? |
Osinbajo till end! VP is not going anywhere |
Blue3k:Abeg lets enjoy the article. |
Blue3k:The context of my complaint was understood by the OP. He kept the material but changed topic and deleted kids. In my response I modified my objection and thanked him. You are the one in the wilderness on the issue. You are yet to respond to my challenge to you anyway. Give me your moral response in the analogy I gave. ![]() |
Blue3k:So why did OP correct the topic and took "kids" out? Its because he understood my point and the objection. It would not pass a "moral test", regardless of the semantics you want it to infer. |
AmuDimpka:Thanks for correcting the topic and removing "kids". That was my issue, im glad you got the point. Everything else is irrelevant. |
Blue3k:I gave definition of kid in its accepted usage to mean young child. In many countries it is legal to have strip joints where adult female entertain and even include university students who use the income as means to finance education. How would it sound if you see a topic calling for "kids" to be introduced to strip joints so they can help supplement their parents' income....or perharps begin early to save for college? Give me your moral response. |
Before Prophet Muhammad (saws) was born the Kaaba was a shrine in which deities were worshipped. The priestly tribe of Koreish (Ak'Orisha - those who supplicate Orisha) were the gurdians of Kaaba and they occupied Mecca at the time. The King of Yemen sought to destroy Kaaba. He came with thousands of army with camels and elephants to overrun Mecca and destroy the temple of deities (Shrine). The Kaaba was defended mysteriously against their mission. A cloud gathered above. It rained rocks and stones and killed off the army and their stock. Prophet Muhammad (saws) was born few years after this historical reference. See Holy Quran Sura105, Surat Al Fil. Aare Gani Adams is correct, we have abandoned our tradition and true power. Orisha is a powerful force. The deities that preserved Kaaba will preserve Yorubaland. |
Modified after topic was corrected. |

efighter:We expected okoros to have this kind of hatred reaction to VP Osinbajo. We expected it....but their hatred will not stop SW becoming President in 2023. |
ODB2:He is coming for Timi Frank, the source of this libel. He wants to mop up the spill first. I wont be surprised if Timi goes on self-exile while Osinbajo is busy cleaning media. |
IntrovertedK:I agree! He doesnt have the street toughness and the "fck you" swag that is a requisite to rule Nigeria. Nigeria is not matured for a leader....it respects a ruler. Osinbajo is a leader, not a ruler. He wont know how to rule and would be taken advantage of. We need a ruler that is a cross between Idiagbon and Obasanjo....a no-nonsense disciplinarian and a political trickster. |
Edenx:Interpretation of what she said is - 1 - MEND and IPOB scare business away from East. 2 - Cargo ships and Insurance companies minimize risks faced at harbour. If a cargo ship gets stranded in shallow waters it can take up to 3months or longer to rescue it to safety. The cost is monumental. No need to even risk it. |
