valencia2012: Abi! You build visitors's toilet, you die. You no build, you die. Make I build and die! The main family lounge downstairs without void is for all and sundry. But I'll be hosting exclusive private visitors upstairs without the Idumota downstairs! So I use my private living room and the balcony. And after enough palmwine, my visitors wouldn't have to "stagger" through my room, madam or children's. Or even the stairs! So let's build visitors's toilets and die! good day sir. You said that you will contact me about making rails for you but since then, I haven't heard anything from you |

BrabusNG: They’re actually bullet resistant not bulletproof. They don’t stop bullets but can destabilize it.
When you’re doing this for security, don't just think about just doing the room door alone. All the surrounding walls need to be reinforced with at least 3mm steel or polycarbonate or bookcase.
More importantly watch and pray. I made mention of the quality of the steel and someone said they are made with ballistic resistant materials. I don't know what that is and I haven't seen the door so I piped low. But all I know is that you need at least 5mm steel to have bullet resistance in mind |

vickzie: if we build big houses, we would die, if we build small houses we would still die, so let's build what makes us happy and fulfilled (big or small), because in the end, we would still die. besides big house equals big money for architect and builder, big money for building materials guys, big money for maintenance guys, it helps our ministry. hehehehehehehe. I see your point about the benefits to the value chain and I like am |

BrabusNG: Abiola is the June 12 Hero. I don’t know how to explain or quantify his networth but he was extremely wealthy during his lifetime.
The building is in Ibarra Estate, Abeokuta Ogun state. yeah I know that part but for someone to build an edifice that can host a thousand people at once is totally insane |

Focusmind: Bro, please show us naa - You see how Brabus always use numbers and pictures to illustrate his ideas which I always find fascinating. When things are presented in numbers and pictures, they make more sense. If you have any sample of what you stated or internet picture, of the burglary make I see. unfortunately I don't have any pics on my phone. Before now, I never had the needs to take pictures of my work but you guys be making me to. I saw the picture brabus shared and it's not like that over here |

BrabusNG: I believe he was making plans for the imaginary visitors and guests.
Abiola’s uncompleted Building has a living room that can sit 1000 guests.
He was trying to make his guests comfortable too. where's this building and how rich is this Abiola guy to build such edifice |

Focusmind: I don't know if I am taken a big risk. My window areas upstairs do not have burglary - some have just single bar to protect the kids from any rough play of "jumping" out through the window. Personal choice if you ask me, I don't like burglary and nets on the windows - just that I don't have any choice. Even curtain is not my thing - Venetian blinds may appeal to me but I prefer to look at the outside environment through a plane clear glass in my room I don't know why this burglaries having escape patches seem like a big deal to you folks. Most buildings have such. Imagine the building burning and there's no way to get to safety. It's made with the approximate size of 2ft by 2ft and you have a lock. The escape patch is made in such a way that you don't even know it's there. It incorporates the design of the burglary |

I want to say I'm learning a whole lot from this talk about building for a family.
Here in Nnewi, you will see these billionaires having more than five structures in same compound and you can't help but wonder what will happen after few years when they are old.
The popular one that manufacture cars, if you see his compound and the number of structures in it eh. Funny thing is that he's still building more inside same compound. I don't know his plans though.
Thanks for the insights |

This is a beautiful door but going by the specifications, it's no bullet proof unless there's something they are not telling us.
Bullet will pierce through anything less than 3mm talk more of 1.2mm which I know is what I use to make my 18k doors. If doubt, kindly test with your life.
Oga brabus has worked with 3mm pan and I don't think he will risk his life testing the bullet proof. Before you come for my head, kindly familiarize yourself with iron guage.
If you need bullet proof something, you need at least 5mm thick pan

Rotech77Ditto: Believe me you can do it my brother, I do see the door before honestly I don’t know it’s made in Nigeria here until I meet the guy, there is Turkish version of it too. of course I know I can make it but I need to learn a thing or two from him and that's why I need the two weeks experience from him |

Rotech77Ditto: If you can eliminate the noise that will be a big plus to this grade of door , actually I know of high quality door of Nigeria Made used by some big banks in Nigeria without noise and well sealed against water penetration (see attached pic) but it’s pricey.
Also you can fine-tone the finishings to look more elegant( demands/ cost will determines this) but never the less it will add more value to your product. mehn I respect whoever that did that door. Him na baba I will love to spend about two weeks with him sha |

saydfact: GBAM - This can easily fly for all internal doors....... perfect, better if padded or filled. it's all about the choice of the customer. Some want something very fancy while some want something classy and will never fade in terms of design. What if I tell you that the door in discussion is more expensive than the door I showed you earlier. |

write2obi: Neatly finished! Good work bro. but i'm still against using iron doors inside the house. let's say you're building for commercial needs, iron doors are your best bet. Some tenants are careless and sometimes wicked. They will destroy whatever they come across and you will end up doing maintenance work pretty early. Before someone will spoil iron door, it will be obvious that he's deliberately made me destruction When it comes to durability, nothing beats iron doors |

saydfact: I wont agree with you on all internal doors being iron doors because (like you say) they last for ever....... We both agree wooden doors can last forever too - it all comes down to the quality of doors and materials..... whether wood or iron, if the quality isnt OK, na same result. BTW: Nice door you did. keep it up.
shogbenga - CHINA doors dont last more than a year self, that yours lasted that long means the quality was really high. Whatever you choose, choose quality.... and YES, You can use iron doors for interior BUT the design shd be as simple as possible (if possible plain like flush / plywood doors) flush doors like this abi? This is iron door too and there's a way I can eliminate the noise you're worried about
