Kog45: Honestly am not happy about Ebuehi named on d standby, but truth be told he hasn't convinced Rohr enough, also Dele Alampasu, dropping from d main squad to standby means a lot. They just need to fight their way back into d team.Hope we win this match and give Young ones like Ebuhei, Alampasu,Oyekwuru, Kayode chance against Algeria. how has he not convinced Rohr enough? Has he played at all? No be if you play you go showcase your skills? I keep on hammering on it, Rohr is not a fantastic coach and recently we have also discovered that his assistants too aren't tactical or technical one bit. Now Akpeyi is back, and I am almost certain he will get plugged right back into the mix. We have Aina, Awaziem and Ebuehi plus Shehu who have all been playing very well as fullbacks for their club but Echejile again will start, we have all forgotten the number of times he got skinned during our last match against Zambia, next month might even be worse. Can someone please explain to me the rationale behind inviting Uche Agbo(who is even a midfielder) ahead of Omeruo, Otigba and even Taye Taiwo(since our LB is weak)? Can someone explain to me how Musa(who has been playing for the U23, same thing we accused Omeruo of) and Iheanacho(who hasn't been fit and still isn't fit) ahead of Kayode and Onyekuru(who has 4 goals in 6 games for Anderletch)? Can someone explain to me why we have not started integrating another Cmf in the team who can be a competent sub for Mikel? I know we will beat Zambia, albeit a slim victory, but these questions will come back to haunt us against top teams, foreign coaches are usually reverred for their lack of sentiments but these recent lists have not been supporting that at all. |

TheGoodJoe: TheSuperNerd has no right to open another thread. This is the lowest he can go because the dynamics of this thread goes back to years. He is trying to kill the sequence of the thread, which is very wrong.
I will not lie, I am highly disappointed in him. What is so difficult in coming back.
Imagine me running to create another thread when someone says I must be sharing a bed with Guardiola (Wa Lai that one pained me) or when people talk of drills.
Banters happen. One went to far. Having a tough skin and control is part of what has kept this thread civil.
Or, does he think there will be no fallouts on his golden thread.
Please, let us get back to football. Like when Onyekuru will score a hattrick for Anderlecht. but you do share a bed with Guardiola don't you? No lie oo |

Kog45: Attention to u gurus in d house, just saw another thread by SuperNerd tagged d rise of golden generation ..... ..... .....
Honestly am not against d thread, good to have different threads on Nigeria football but my concerns was i w not be happy if what am thinking was what led to d creation of d thread (disagreemens here)if it's, then what do we say about forgiveness who people tagged tribal for expressing his opinions.
I hope SuperNerd comes back.According to Michael2, nobody is irreplaceable but we need a great bond here irrespective where we all come from and make things work.
Pls henceforth no matter d provocation, don't let us descend so low and attack our parents,is nauseating and absurd.
CC:guys in d house these things you guys are saying is hitting me somehow. TheSuperNerd started all the insults, I swear I was shocked when even theGoodJoe and Safarigirl countered him openly(for the first time ever), and quite frankly he has a habit of having a go at just about everybody and he enjoys it. I am not saying the guy was right to have called his mom, absolutely bad for sure but that was in self-defence and even in a law court, anything done out of self-defence is pardonable. If he creates a new thread then that is just childish but good for him, we have better things to talk about. Abi no be forgiveness wey we call tribalist not long ago? Didn't he himself tag me a hater while theGoodJoe has been calling me a babylonian since? We accept insults from him and act like men so if he wants to act like a baby then fine and good, okwu a enweghi isi at all at all |

TheGoodJoe: Nacho will come good. People should relax. What matters is how hard he is working to get in the team. As long as he is working hard and remains focused, it will click for him soon.
Keep in mind, Nacho is not yet fit and also is not a good fit for the system. He needs time to adjust. how long exactly do you think it takes to recover from a toe injury? Or wasn't it a toe injury that he is suffering from? Natural processes would heal a toe injury in less than 3 weeks and surgery or any form of therapy would reduce that number to mere days. Iheanacho is fit, he may be struggling for STAMINA but he is fit |

Supernerd provoked the insults and Pietrico lost his cool (despite claiming he wouldn't), Pietrico went on to attack someone's mama unnecessarily. Even me, no matter how vile I get, I keep people's mama out of my attacks.

TheSuperNerd: Yep you are right... it is two and that would make it eight goals.
Corsica is not a member of Fifa but Togo is. That is part of why Togo's game stands despite all those subs made that day plus the fact it met all other requirements and counted as "other matches" in the FIFA rule book.
If we count the penalty goal against Corsica then Nacho has scored 8. So yes two pens... but Sir Chrisooblog is right to say one pen out of the seven goals.
But out of 8... it is two pens. Finito. it all makes sense now, thanks for the info because I checked wikipedia and I didn't see the corsica game registered there so I was confused. So will Fifa register 8 goals for him or 7? |

That's all I gotta say.
O pari So Slovenia and Scotland are rubbish teams compared to Zambia and Tanzania? Ok now this is funny |

Who counted it?? Maybe you did. Club friendlies is as good as nothing. You dont compare that to international friendlies those goals will be added to his career total, except if your own 'count' means something else. It is even in his wikipedia page |

*Smh* Oga, I clearly pointed out that his returns are great. Even if you minus those penalties he still has 5 in 11 and that is great still. But using it to rubbish Rashford's return of 2 goals in 11games |

Chrismario: He started last match. Friendlies does not count Iheanacho's friendly goals count but when it comes to Kayode it doesn't count? His only noteworthy tale this season was an assist against one club like that in a friendly. Not to mention that international friendlies too count when it comes to Nacho, so I totally disagree with you |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 5:10pm On Sep 22, 2017 |
Chrismario: Nop but 6 in 11 is not bad at all he has two penalties. If he wasn't our primary penalty-taker he would be on five goals. Now England has had quite a lot of penalties recently, if Rashford was playing them he'd definelty be closer to 7 right now. That's all permutations anyways, Rashford's return still isn't bad |

TheSuperNerd: Almost always play as our top striker/no.9 naa... meaning most of his goals comes with him as the top 9 naa... while making a case for Rashford goals as a wide midfielder/winger.... is that not what your statement implied? Ehn Mister... is that not it? Kelechi has scored four of his international goals as an AMF... #Fact
wanna dribble your way around this one again? Hahahahahahahahaha....
https://www.intuitiveaccountant.com/downloads/626/download/ROFLMAO.jpg
Look quit this silly game and own up to the truth for once...
See how you walked into the discussion just to rubbish Kelechi's scoring stats again.... Two of his international goals have been Worldies (won CNN international goal of the weeks awards). He did that twice not once... twice!!!
Give the lad the respect he deserves. Your willingness to wash down his positives are always irritating... always!!! when people start comparing Rooney's goalscoring stats last season, nobody cares that he played some games as a midfielder, but the fact was that he played mostly as a striker and that is what we judge. Now down to Nacho, he has played more games as a striker(I can't recall saying he scored more as a striker, I only said he almost always plays as a striker for us, haba stop putting words in my mouth Oga)and that was what my statement implied, nothing goes deeper than that. Who knows if Rashford is played as a 10, he would score more or as a striker as much as Nacho has played for us, that bit we can never tell and I don't want to go there. But the bottomline is that Nacho has played more as a striker and so ought to have scored more goals than a wide midfielder, does that make sense to you now? |

Joebie: Don't forget Lukaku's story. Even Pep knows the player is special. He only saved Nacho for the rainy day. without putting sentiments, if you were the coach going to a world cup and you have one spot left and you have two players, one is currently a regular in a top Epl club, versatile as hell, he can play the Striker role, the SS role, the attacking midfield role and can play out wide too. The other one is a deadly striker who isn't as versatile as the other and on top of that he hasn't been in top form recently who would you choose? This is why I prefer Messi to Ronaldo. Rashford can have a bad day in front of goal but he can stil be the man of the match because he has a lot more to his game. The Iheanacho of 2013 could do that but we have to agree right now that if he doesn't score he hardly(HARDLY) influences play in anyother way. So in this Iheanacho vs Rashford comparison, the only thing Iheanacho has going for him is goals, if we come to chances created, Rashford, dribbles? Rashford, assists? Rashford, take-ons? Rashford? Just about everything else? Rashford. I pray for Nacho's liberation but currently he isn't close to Rashford. They can come for my head now |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 4:36pm On Sep 22, 2017 |
Joebie: Iheanacho's record internationally will continue to dwarf Rashford's. We can start from the U17s if you will, until now.
See you at the end of the current EPL season. Because even on that basis, we will have the last laugh. about the international stats, that 7goals is padded with penalties not to mention that Nacho is almost always our top striker while Rashford plays out wide while more emphasis is playing through the middle with Alli and Kane. Now I am not trying to rubbish Nacho's international stats but I am saying that a wide midfielder who has scored 2goals in 11 games is not bad at all IMHO |
