To God be the glory.
I am DIY applicant. I applied for passport February 24, 2022. Upon getting to servicom room, I was told that my NIN didn't match. So, I couldn't proceed to capturing. I summoned courage and told myself that I wouldn't give up. I began making enquiry on how to do change of DOB on my NIN. However, I got to know that I needed to pay 15k to remitta and do modification. After I was done with that. I sent my application forward to NIMC Akure. I waited for few weeks hoping that my NIN would drop, but no show. I got frustrated with the whole thing until one of NIN staff told me that if I really wanted the NIN to drop, I needed to do Fast track. Well, what would I do? I was able to cough out 20k for NIN fast track. Within 3weeks, my NIN dropped.
I went straight to NIS Akure to proceed to my application. Within few days I reschedule my appointment date and I was captured July 29, 2022.
To God be the glory. I collected my passport today. I got to immigration office in Akure around 9:11am and I collected my passport around 11:03am

Captured on 29/07/2022
Collected on 4/10/2022.
Many thanks to everyone on this space that rendered assistance. I owe you guys alot.
May God bless us in search of greener pastures.

How was the DIY process in akure NIS...... Easy ?
Please your feedback will be appreciated

Please I await your experience as I am considering choosing between Lagos, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Akure or Ekiti for my renewal. (I can easily go to these places I mentioned)

You could have suggested they request another ride to make it two vehicles instead of driving away.

Some could reason with you while others won't, their response will determine your next move.
Yes boss, some guys reasoned and ordered a second vehicle but trust some other lol..... I just cancel and zoom.

Between the last time we had a conversation and now, my immediate younger brother has moved from an above 200k job to an above 700k job. Last time we spoke, he told me he's never doing any job that pays in naira again.

Our last born who recently graduated has also moved from a 70k job to a 155k job and there's no end in sight to how many other jobs with better pay he's still going to get.

People who know what they are doing and have the cash to support are even applying and getting 50-100k pound jobs in UK right from Nigeria. The only reason they can do that is because of the experience they gathered from those salary job.

Good luck applying to UK with an uber experience.

I know someone who started his career in the internal audit department of a bank here in Nigeria as an ET. He moved to a big four audit firm from there and as of today is now in a sister audit firm in UK. The entire thing happened between 2018 and 2022. He started with a little over 150k in Nigeria, today he earns multiple times that amount. The sky is his limit. Can you show us one single uber driver with that level of increase in earnings?

That is why you cannot and should not compare the two. From where I'm standing, it's apples and oranges
GOD BLESS YOU BOSS

He's an intelligent man, those factors should not stop him, he'll learn. I'll just advise he sticks to google map and ensure he obeys all traffic rules if he's not familiar yet. and don't pick riders at bustops on hot days.

I saw task force block the two entrances of secretariat bus stop one Monday like that and arrest all the vehicles that were there. Hungry people maybe its now a crime to drop somebody at bus stop i don't know.

Before I forget too, avoid soole at all cost, especially if you no get liver for trouble or its not your personal car.

Good luck to you snrman

Oga mi..... Lagos and new wahala every time, imagine arrest for bustop shocked . But jah dey help us sha. He's luckily in abuja sha

Some riders can really play with one's intelligence.

I took a trip to Igando road late evening. When I ended the trip, the app is totally white. It's been difficult to get surge these days in the hot spots, how much more such a dead zone like Igando.

As I was hoping to get a trip back to "civilization", a lady's request came in almost immediately and she was going to Ikeja. It looks like a wish come through. She put Igando bus stop as her pickup destination.

In three minutes, I was at the bus stop. Called her and she said she was gonna be with me in the next minute. A minute turned 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes of paid waiting and counting.

On a norm, I would have canceled the trip if it were places like Ikeja, Shomolu, etc., that getting a request isn't hard and good request too.

But the fear of getting requests going to places like Ikotun, Ojo, and other such forbidden areas made me to wait for this lady that long. All along, I kept calling her with my airtime.

When she finally got to the bus stop, as soon as she saw me, she canceled the order. I looked at my app and saw that she has canceled. I asked her if she canceled and she said "Yes" that she's going to book again.

I was like, look at this ekuke, you think you are dealing with a fool. The reason she canceled and wants to book again is because she doesn't want to pay for the paid waiting. So, all the time I've waited and the airtime I've been using to call her would be wasted.

What a smart girl, but I do teach such people a little lesson. I don't mind burning my fuel and driving empty for one hour to my house than to embark on such trip.

I just entered my car and central locked it. The girl came and tried opening the door but she couldn't. She knocked and I just told her to Bleep off.

I started my car immediately and drove away. While I was driving away, she kept requesting and the request kept coming to me up to 5 times. She was cursing me through the chat but I didn't even bother to reply to her messages. She was obviously hurt more than me.

As God would have it, as soon as she canceled the last time, I got a request there going to Alapere. This trip is not only longer for me, but with lesser traffic situation than Ikeja and also closer to my house because I live in Shomolu.

It felt like a compensation for me for what that girl did to me. The trip even without surge ended 4300.

Sometimes, it's good to let these riders know that we aren't fools or hungry for driving on ehailing. I guess the way I waited and was calling her, she felt I am too desperate to embark on the trip and that she can do anything and get away with it.

More oil to your head boss.

Newbies that have refused to learn from elders experiences

It was just last week here I shared an experience of how I asked some guys to meet me along the isheri oshun expre Rd with screen shoot of their pick-up which is that Abaranje road.

They did bike to meet me up... If they had refused it would have only cost my 1 DS simple.

Okay, I'd also said here severally, if you're taking a trip to a place you're not familiar with. Have an agreement with the rider to end the trip if you no more feel comfortable with the road. Simple!

But una get coconut head
Una no dey hear word
I must have unluckily skipped that particular warning cos I dey learn from all the tips you post here. I'm still learning boss. Thanks and much respect

@glithronix.

Dead Zones are places we don't wish to go. Not places we drive out empty.

Ikorodu, Apapa, Ojo, ejigbo, Ikotun, abulegba, Iju, Akute, ibafo, Ipaja, ayobo, Igando, Lakowe, Epe......

These are major dead zones a smart driver don't wish to take a trip to.
But if you eventually take a trip to any of those places, no need to drive out empty, cos 60% of the trips you'll get there are surely trips to better areas.

Why drive empty from Ikorodu to Ikosi when your next trip could be to Ikeja?
Why drive empty from Oshodi to Maryland when your next trip could be to Lekki?

Oshodi to Maryland is about 20mins drive, but you can get a trip inside Oshodi in less than 5mins; and 80% of the times, the trip will take you out of Oshodi.

What if you drive from Apapa to Maryland empty and your next trip from Maryland is taking you back to Apapa?
What if you drive from Egbeda to Ikeja and your next trip is taking you to Ayobo?

When you find yourself in one of those places that you've marked on red, the best thing is to look for a better place around there, park and wait for a trip. You will most likely get a trip to a better area.
If you get a trip that's going within same area or worse, reject it, arrive and cancel, tell rider to Cancel. If bad trips keeps coming in repeatedly, set destination from there to the island or island-to-mainland and wait a while.

Again: the best time to use Indriver are times you find yourself in those dead zones, cos you can easily cherry pick rides to better parts.

Sha do what works for you bro. You'll surely get better with time. I did worse when I got in newly. I always drove down to surulere anytime I took a ride to VI, Ikoyi & Lagos Island. Cos of my fear of lastma and CBD.
I will share them here one day. Don't have the time yet.
I'm trying to host my project and create a good portfolio at the moment.

Thank you for your this boss.
Plus I go like hear those stories grin
All the best in your project sir
