Did you read the write-up at all? 'Cause if you did you won't be asking this question.

Bro, I understand Wht you're going through. I studied civil engineering too, some 5 years back. Haven't worked as an engineer for one day in my life. Yes, I know how to design architectural and structural designs, but there aren't enough oppurtunities out there. I'm switching to tech now, UI/UX precisely. Hopefully, there'll be light at the end of this tunnel.
You'll get there brother. I spent months to master Structural Analysis and Design after my masters, nothing was forthcoming. I took interest in Occupational Health and Safety at some point, had to take a job with a little salary at NBC to learn the ropes. I wrote my certification examinations and after 2 years, I found my way back to the construction industry as a Construction Safety Manager.
I love tech too hence, I enrolled for Google's certificate in Data Analytics on Coursera which has been fun so far.
Giving up isn't an option. We'll get there.

You talk like a kid out there. Your weed response is a proof.

That's by the way. How often does your friend use his or her phone daily? For me, I do transactions of nearly 1m USD with my phone yearly. My phone doesn't sleep until I sleep. All other gadgets are connected to it, including
my printer. I hardly use my laptop. My phone isnt for selfies or showoff. It's for real work and in effect, I'd need a durable phone to withstand that. Even in the meeting, I'm always with it. Only my staff dare not. I receive calls, send documents, scan documents, send mails, download and attach heavy files and I do zoom meetings at least one in 3 days with my team for at least one hour each time. My battery is always drained. I do charge my phone always with the charger. I doubt if any Chinese charger can last so long cos of the kind of heat it generates. We have Huawei box phones which we later discarded because of charging issues. From the era of multi links to starcoms we've been using both Huawei and ZTE Box phones.

If you hardly stress your Chinese phones, your charger would last long of course. Chinese phones aren't built for stress or ruggedity. Samsung is much better with experience though it always more expensive. Even if Chinese use those phones you mentioned, it can never be the same quality as thise they sell to us in this part of the world. What they use in their country isn't same as what they export to us, in quality standard
Lol, I'm sorry to say this but you're the KID as far as this conversation is concerned.

Lol no.

I have been hammering this for years now about how important smartphone knowledge is. Apart from a few readers who take it upon themselves to sub me, I have not gotten paid for it.

Anything below G35/P35 will not play PES.

All those Tecno Pop/Spark and Infinix smart people go throwaway their phones today.

Entry level Redmi users too, Redmi 7a, 8a, 9a.
I was surprised when the game appeared on Infinix S5 Lite with Helio P22 (4/64). I suppose it's the RAM that affected Redmi 7A 'cause it's available on Redmi 8.
Phones › Re: Who Pays More For A Whatsapp Call? The Caller Or The Receiver? by micxwell(m): 3:44pm On Jun 03, 2022
skoskosko:
Nobody pays more! It’s exactly same on both ends. If I send you a file of 10mb, you need exactly 10mb to download it. The volume of data A is uploading is the exact same volume B is downloading.
The only factor that will most likely differentiate the cost for both parties is the amount their carrier charges per KB.

The question here is MORE! It's actually the receiver. One is upload, the other is download.
Lol. Funny how you think you're right with this. When you talk, your voice uploads and that of the person you're talking to downloads. Both the caller and the receiver are both downloading and uploading at the same time.

Thank you for your answer Sir.

My question is directed towards why recruiter emphasis more on NEBOSH International diploma than other level 6 qualifications
I believe it's simply recognition and trust over the years.

Like @10thTenthMan all these certificates proves nothing really grin cheesy but we need it to fill out our CVs and show we have the knowledge. My manager failed his ISO 45001 exam. He came back, trained everyone in our department back in 2020, we were audited and we passed excellently well. Experience is key.
Career › Re: Academic Advice; as an HND graduate what next? PGD or BSC by micxwell(m): 2:20pm On May 30, 2022
koldej:
It depends on you, let me tell you something some people will ask you why do you need to run a Bsc programme again when you have an HND? they will question your self esteem
I'm also in your shoes.. but this is what I have come to realise so far
1) HND or BSc.. there is no job out there
2) HND or BSc the organization doesn't care, in as much as you know your job
3)YES! HND in statistics qualifies you for direct entry into Accounting
But!
There are some opportunities you will not get if you don't have a degree
There are some chances you will not get to prove yourself if you dont have a degree
There are some interviews you will not get if you don't have a degree

The bottom line is that being successful in your career path is not dependent on whether you have an HND or BSc.

As an HND holder, I will say I've never been out of job since I graduated 2years ago, but the truth is there are better opportunities I have missed out on due to the fact that I don't have a degree, I'm currently trying to run a conversion programme in a course related to my field.

@23 you are still very young, please opt for direct entry if you are from @least a average family who are willing to support you for the next 2-3years again, if not you can try conversion programme, this will give you the opportunity to work and continue schooling at the same time.

But please in whatever decision you take, go and learn IT, I sincerely believe you will do very well in coding or data analysis.

If you don't mind we can be friends
I was going to say he has no need for those now. The bolded should be prioritized.

I wonder what is so special in our phones that we can't switch it off, put it on silent or even leave it at home so we can fully concentrate in church service. But we speedily switch it off for hours when going in for business meetings. We are deceiving, disgracing and disrespecting ourselves
My dear nothing is special about our phones but some of us have jobs that are crucial, people's life and work activities depends on it. I'm a Safety Manager for instance; my phone is permanently on vibration. If I see a call from any of my Safety officers/champions during service, I immediately excuse myself to attend to it cause an accident victim or injured worker can die because of my negligence. That's just one of so many reasons.

This is not true.
Over the last 12 months, my earnings increased by an excellent percentage and I have more savings than in any other year.
The reason is simple, I did not change my lifestyle. Besides Food, TP, and rent, what took money out of my pocket was gifting.
Exactly. I don't know why people have to change their lifestyle completely just because they now earn more.
I got another job this January and I still maintain my monthly budget. Well, different strokes for different folks.

There's nothing wrong with aiming high. Being complacent with that sum doesn't cut it for some people.
This thread is proof that the word RICH is subjective. I don't think I've heard anyone earning a particular sum say they are okay with the sum. I have an uncle earning above 3.5m as at 2015 and he'll still tell you he wants a better pay.
I believe everyone's opinion on this is right to an extent.
Someone earning 100k will call another earning 250k a boss and it goes on and on.

Kaycee54321:
Being "rich" is a question of location...

If you reside in Banana Island, Lagos, your living expenses will piss on your monthly 500K...

If you reside in Ikeja, you're a "big boy" and if you don't allow those runs girls at Ikeja City Mall to milk you dry, you may afford to buy a Nigerian used small sedan without Police case...

If you reside in Mowe, Ogun State, you can talk about acquiring a manageable size of land and maybe have an uncompleted building to your name in like a year...

If you decide to live in Baruten, Kwara State (near Benin Republic), with your 500K, you can easily be crowned a King.
You deserve 2 bottles of chilled Heineken cheesy
