I looked at the LCD screen on it and compared it to the amoled screen on my phone, it felt like I was losing my sight.

The difference is like Germany and Somalia. I wondered how I was comfortable with LCD all those years.

I'm looking to enter UI/UX designing and I need a laptop. For some reasons I want to buy a brand new laptop not a used laptop, and my budget is ₦200k max. However, I don't know jack about laptops and their specs and I'm scared of buying one that won't be able to handle the work and would start lagging and freezing.

So please, I need suggestions from the gurus here

Now at that price point of 200k, you'll get a good USED pc that will surprise you. If you can add 30-50k you'll be surprised what you end up with.
I bought a laptop for a friend just this last thursday for 245k; Specs goes thus;

-HP ELITEBOOK X360 1030 G2 (2 in 1)
-Core i5-7300u
-256GB SSD Internal storage
-16 GB Ram (Speed 2133MHz)
-13.3 inches touch screen.

I believe the laptop could be cheaper if I had gotten it from someone like Rakiticbarca, Acekid109 etc.

In all, don't go for a pc with a score that is less than 3500 (the higher the better) on Cpu Benchmark, 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD Internal storage etc.
You can explore the AMD processors too. They are a killer pass right now. Happy laptop hunting.

Are you using the V8i version of Staad Pro, you can make use of the Concrete Design menu after analysis and post processing. There's a way you'll be able to apply BS 8110 from there, I think while creating design briefs or something. Can't recall it clearly now.

I am just reading this thread....To make things a bit clear to you, everyone intending to have a Canadian PR MUST apply through express entry. So literally, if you studied in Somalia, UK, US, Nigeria or CANADA, you all have an almost equal level base of application for PR. Now, there are some factors that add points to your application and will guaranteed your PR if you meet those points. you can go to the canadian express entry thread to get more info on that.

The point of my post is that, your MSc education acquired in Canada ONLY adds 2 points to the overall points needed for PR qualification, this is almost insignificant especially when you need lots of points. Now, this is the only advantage you have over someone that studied elsewhere other than canada with regards to education and PR Points.

The major advantage an international canadian student will have over his contemporaries is the advantage of being in Canada and having direct or physical assess to employers for job application and applying for jobs to differnt provinces. The application for jobs can be done by anyone outside canada as well, but I think the person legally inside canada will be giving priority assuming all applicants have same qualification, that's the only advantage here. If you are fortunate to secure employment or any province nominate you based on your application, then it is almost guaranteed that you will be call to apply for PR.

Summarily, you can still be in UK and apply for Canadian PR just like the student in canada will do with little advantage of educational point, except if he is fortunate to secure employment or get nominated by a province which you could as well benefit without studying in Canada. By the way, if anyone have to hope on fate to secure employment in canada that will boost his express entry points, why not hope on fate to secure employment after study in UK and secure your indefinite leave after 5yrs of stay in UK..this years include your duration of studies and employment years in UK?

Lol, that's going to be difficult. Ram and Internal storage usually should come second when talking about phone specifications you know.

The processor (MTK, Snapdragon, Unisoc etc.) should come first. It determines how well your Ram and Internal storage will perform.

I doubt if 60k will get you a 3gb Ram phone irrespective of the processor. Also, in this present day and age, 4gb Ram should be the minimum for any mobile phone.

If you compare both specs for specs, even Redmi Note 7 is far ahead of the Redmi 10C. The only relatively better spec Redmi 10C has is the processor "Snapdragon 680". Asides from that even Redmi Note 5 will beat Redmi 10C...
