Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi has tested positive for coronavirus.

The Serie A club say that the France World Cup winner has been in voluntary isolation since 11 March and is "well and asymptomatic".

Matuidi, 32, is the second Juve player to be confirmed to have the virus, following centre-back Daniele Rugani last week.

All domestic sporting activity in Italy has been suspended until at least 3 April.

Five Valencia players are positive after testing for coronavirus, the club says.

Valencia and Argentina defender Ezequiel Garay became the first La Liga player to announce a positive test earlier on Sunday.

Later on Sunday, Valencia centre-back Eliaquim Mangala said he had tested positive and was self isolating.
"It is clear I have started 2020 with bad luck," Garay, 33, wrote on Instagram.

"I am very well and must obey health authorities and stay isolated."

Ex-Manchester City player Mangala posted: "I knew today that I am Coronavirus positive. At the moment, I'm feelling good and I have no symptoms associated with the virus. However, I am confined in house and have no contact with my family."

A Valencia statement said the affected players and staff were "in their homes in good health and under isolation measures".

"We are confident that with solidarity, responsibility and good spirits we will beat this pandemic," the club added.

Atalanta said their players and staff are self-isolating after they played Valencia at the Mestalla in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Swiss football federation president Dominique Blanc says he is "reasonably comfortable" after testing positive for coronavirus.

The 70-year-old, in quarantine at home after having a sore throat and cough, added: "I only feel mild flu symptoms."

The Swiss Football League is currently suspended and the federation's headquarters in Bern have been closed.

A Swiss football federation statement added: "The personnel who were most recently in personal contact with the president have been informed and will take the necessary steps if directed by the federation's medical department."

Uefa has invited representatives of its 55 member associations to an emergency video conference meeting on Tuesday.

The boards of the European Club Association, the European leagues and a representative of world players' union Fifpro have also been invited and discussions will cover all domestic and European competitions, including a possible postponement of Euro 2020 by one year.

Speaking at Uefa's annual congress on 3 March, Blanc warned that the virus could "shake professional football to its foundations".

The Italian, 22, returned to Serie A in January on an 18-month loan deal, six months after joining Wolves.

On Saturday, Fiorentina confirmed that Cutrone, Argentine defender German Pezzella and physiotherapist Stefano Dainelli all had coronavirus.

In a statement the club said: "Patrick Cutrone and German Pezzella and physiotherapist Stefano Dainelli underwent tests, as they were showing some symptoms.

"All three [were] positive and are in good health at their homes in Florence."

In a post on Instagram, Fiorentina captain Pezzella added: "The symptoms [have] disappeared and I am at home following the procedures indicated by my club."

Italy is one of the countries worst affected by the pandemic.

All sport in the country has been suspended until at least 3 April and there are also a series of strict quarantine measures, including a ban on public gatherings.
