NuissancePolice:Girlfriend is leased and olosho is short-term hire...while your wife is your title deed. |
Sniper101:Or you can just politely turn him down the same way we women have to turn down guys that we cant stand You dont necessarily have to like someone to respect their humanity |
Sniper101:Well we can agree to disagree but i think you should loosen up. They are not hurting anybody by being themselves |
bukatyne:2. Ok i get it now, you are right. to your PS yes, they are all different, no doubt. But seriously a pastor is a pastor and a pastors wife is a pastors wife. Its clear that you are expected to adjust your life to some degree if you marry a pastor. They should have discussed this eventuality a long time ago, thats just my point |
Sniper101:If you were ill (tufiakwa) and a transgender doctor was the only one available, would you complain? You have to open your mind, what people do with their private parts is not anybodys business |
JLM:Yes but when things go wrong with your husband you will face it alone without your parents. Sorry but for all those ones who wished they had listened, as many wish that they hadnt Not everything parents do is completely altruistic. Some parents act selfishly because they dont want you embarrass them by marrying from the wrong place ( and before that, do the wrong job and before that, study the wrong course, go to the wrong university, etc.) Parents can use you to flex and if you dont spot their motives you are done for. Plus with "typical" African parenting you are still a child no matter your age, so your opinions or feelings dont necessarily matter to them as much as theirs when it comes to serious issues Sometimes the love is tied in with vanity and selfish interest, the OP needs to look at the situation objectively and not just blindly follow her parents. This is so important |
spiritedtete:To be honest when i get to know the origin of some people I cant help but avoid them due to the propaganda my parents drilled into me growing up.. Its not really good but fear just dey catch me |
Sniper101:you have to learn how to adapt to the changing times so that you wont become obsolete like CDs and floppy Disks |
carlleung:Lol. Dr Sir warrior and kabaka...the 2pac and biggie of their time see wetin dem don cause... |
fatymore:You dont know some parents will not give you any tangible answer, they will just be shouting and cursing Let her ask somebody, no knowledge is a waste |
Lol. it seems you havent heard... But they cant stop you, if you trust yourself, go ahead. At least for the Mbaise people to exist until now, somebody must have married them and bore their children So they cant all be 100% bad But on second thought i find it hard to believe that you can be surprised at your parents reaction. I think my parents would sound like that too. maybe you grew up in a detribalised environment where you wont be hearing these stereotypes Well to answer your question, in my mothers words "Mbaise people are over-wise in marriage" |
bukatyne:1. I dont see any difference and you havent explained it at all. Churches operate according to a belief in God so i do not see a difference there. 2. You said its very disruptive, now youre saying they are either static or not moving the family so I dont get you. 3. Its not about what he sounds like, he needs to tell us what actually happened before he starts complaining. I cant believe someone married to a pastor thought they would be in the same place for their entire married life and thought they could strong-arm him into staying where she planted a school just because she said so... everybody knows what a pastors life looks like |
bukatyne:You arent understanding me either, how can a church appoint a pastor outside of God's will? If he is not up to the task, will they appoint him? If God calls somebody via his church, isnt that what the church is for? as for your 2nd point maybe its because we attend different churches because I have never witnessed where somebody is transferred and the wife and kids dont join them, even when the person is transferred to the core north or some strange country everybody has to go there at least until kids are old enough to board if the schools in that place are not up to scratch. Yea you are right about Peter but I am going according to what is practiced...the lady should have known what to expect, which is why i am asking OP if they discussed it before marriage |
Emmymarvel:He is a pastor, she is the headmistress of a school. He also teaches in the school, and hes the one running everything there, according to him because he is an experienced teacher Now he wants to move his ministry but she doesnt want to go because the school is starting to become popular. So he's asking for advice |
bukatyne:To me those two things are the same...the church is making a decision under God's guidance, no? What i was trying to get out of the guy is whether they discussed this possibility before marrying...if they were on the same page then why is she so opposed to moving when thats what pastors' wives usually do She's acting surprised that the guy expects her to pack up and move but thats what usually happens now.. if you dont like it then why marry a pastor |
Sussan1:Lol ![]() The first one does more than the second. havent seen them before but Imade looks exactly like him... |
26 with 3 kids and counting.. Davido the Wazobia man.. born yoruba, married igbo, procreated like hausa... |
fireback:I dont think some of these monikers have real human beings behind them...just imagine |
dominique:every day is son day...let's have our own for once... |
MedicH:1. Yes it is not an exception but it only survives under very specific conditions that dont apply to most everyday conditions so there was almost no point in you mentioning it, 2. How long can HIV survive outside the body? "Unless the virus is kept in a syringe under specific conditions, the true answer is not very long. Although it causes a serious incurable disease that can’t be inactivated by the body, HIV is very fragile in the environment outside one’s body. It quickly gets damaged and becomes inactive (“dies”) and unable to transmit infection when the fluid it’s in is exposed to air. Once it’s inactive, HIV can’t become active again, so it’s the same as if it’s dead." "HIV can’t survive for long in the air. As soon as fluid leaves the body and is exposed to air, it quickly begins to dry up. This damages the virus, making it inactive. Once it’s inactive, HIV is “dead” and no longer infectious." https://www.healthline.com/health/how-long-does-hiv-live-outside-the-body 3. You are really frustrating me, stop spreading misinformation! If, for some terrible reason, a barber were to nick a HIV positive person whilst shaving, draw blood and then use the same clipper on you again without cleaning/sterilising it, in order for him to infect you, he would literally have to: a. Scratch enough into the other guys head so as to get enough blood to constitute a high enough viral load for transmission b. Keep the blood at stable, room temperature for long enough to infect you c. Not use any alkaline shaving balms or soaps or creams on you at all, which would kill the virus d. Start digging into your scalp deep enough such that you are openly bleeding from your head, and start splashing large volumes infected blood onto the open wound i. Remember that when you bleed you push blood out onto the surface of the skin, so you would need to rub the infected blood into your own bloodstream to counter-act your natural blood pressure that is forcing it out The chance of somebody being infected with HIV by a barbers clippers (though technically possible) is extremely negligible! If this were not the case, dont you think most of us would have died by now? (You can catch a lot of bad diseases from dirty (hepatitis C)/ rusty (tetanus) clippers though, and i always bring my own needles to the salon just to be on the safe side) 4. I dont know why youre talking about syringes but you are right, HIV is definitely spread when people share dirty hypodermic needles because the blood in the syringe is not exposed to air. |
madgoat:I was wondering too, paraplegic means he only has an issue with his legs Quadriplegic means arms and legs So his case is much better |
Try networking with people at your church/mosque Did you attend university? Didn't see anyone there? |
ednut1:Lol |
Sleevia:They use a special device to pump it when they want to have sex No sperm. Actually there's a landmark Case in the UK where a transgender man got pregnant with his partner (a natural man) and they are fighting for the baby not to have a "mother" on the birth certificate...just two fathers or "parents" |
ednut1:They can buy a special device to pump it when they want to have sex It was originally created for men suffering from prostate cancer |
adedayourt:Yeah it's confusing but they have refer to him as he is comfortable |
Sleevia:What if he has had a hysterectomy... |
oloriLFC:Yea he takes testosterone to change his voice, grow a beard and build muscles |
adedayourt:He considers himself a son so he has completed his transition to male. If you call him a daughter it is offensive to trans people |
Enemyofpeace:They removed his breasts already |
