Lol... Feminism 101. You're just learning work abi.
When did you contest and get intimidated? Stay there and keep complaining while powerful women dominate in business and other facets of life. tongue
This is not about feminism, if you don't see how women are deterred from political life via societal factors all the time then we cannot help each other.

Pointing out the embedded flaws in a system is different from toxic female entitlement.

Safarigirl should advise midnighter....

From different Ted Talks and research, it has been discovered that women do not always have grits in complicated things.
They just pause and give up. I think one such talk was the one by the owner of Khan Academy, where he said women would come to complain that something was wrong with them for not understanding certain equations; thus, they need to give up.
Meanwhile, their male counterparts will tell him how they feel they're missing something in the equation and would definitely get it
You don't get it, I'm talking about entrenched systems and perceptions that reduce the chance of the woman succeeding

If it's a black man trying to succeed abroad and the system gets him you won't write paragraphs about how black man does not have the right attitude towards understanding mathematical formulas

If you can eat fried plantain (dodo) with rice, why can't you eat banana with rice? The combo are exertly the same but banana combo is healthier because no oil used in frying the plantain. With a really nice correct stew, banana-rice combo is out of this world. Try it again with open mind but make sure the stew is spot-on.
Exactly, that's the justification but the slimy texture of banana irritates me at times. Hmm I will try tonight sha

Who stopped women from contesting? huh
Not who, but what

Intimidation, endemic misogyny in educational, political and religious institutions, pressure on women to prioritise marriage and "keeping a man" above all else from a young age, low prosecution rates for rapes and sexual assaults, gender wage gaps (lower financial empowerment)...should I continue...

These are insidious and entrenched societal ills that need tackling, he shouldn't be making flippant remarks about seducing men into signing contracts

Why can't he just leave it if he has nothing in particular to say

Valid points made, one should get things by merit not with mediocrity
The men in govt are mediocre so they should let some equally mediocre women in too if they are serious...

We should all be mediocre together...

*Modified* this is a tongue-in-cheek comment, I am not being serious

Trash. Trashiest trash in the trashdom of Trashistan.

Why not leave the subject if you don't know what to say. Women's participation in national life is a complex and sensitive issue.

It's men who take advantage of gender inequality for political, societal, economic and educational gains, if he didn't know.

Come on! He's too enlightened to be sounding like this

Spaghetti and beans sounds strange but tastes great, surprisingly

Not a combination but to cut calories I sometimes take soup on its own without any swallow

I never tried beans and garri/bread until a couple of years ago

Melted cheese on mashed potato

The government are not doing their work, the residents and shop owners in the state pay for sanitation every year yet there is no means of evacuating the numerous refuse generated everyday in the state especially in Aba
Maybe a private company could rise up and make a lot of money clearing the trash and shaming that useless state govt

Romance › Re: My Friend Is Being Sexually Harassed By Married Men At Her Work Place by midnighter(f): 11:17am On Sep 27, 2019
Can you people stop talking nonsense

You want her to be wearing rags to work, or Islamic veil? (Which still doesn't stop women being harassed)

You want her to quit her job, later you'll start quoting Proverbs woman, that she shouldn't be lazy and be relying on a man for everything

Can't you people give decent advice on how to stop this kind of thing

I also experience it a lot and it gets very awkward. Once you stand up for yourself the man can start causing a lot of problems for you

What again do you wanna believe, are you saying that the girl didn't know who was removing her pants and doing the do.

...your husband volunteered to take her to the hospital?
Well, a 19 year old is still kind of clueless about certain things, especially if they do not get good sex education

If she went along with it, she wast smart but the husband still deserves the lion's share of the blame

We just stay together as house mates not as husband and wife. I invited his elder sister and mother to hear me out. He promised to change but trust gone %. So pathetic.
