True... If he moves out of his family house nko ........

How do you get the DNA samples, in this situation?..... huh
yeah if he refuses to come back and provide then we still know he is guilty

Every mother's gave their own yardstick expected of their daughter. My sister's are imbibed with same yardstick as the woman,it's now left for them to uphold it by remaining chaste before marriage or not.

When they get the DNA test,it will definitely show he is the father. If it smells like rat,it's a rat!A man who isn't guilty won't be trying so much to put up a innocent face and actions. All this trying to be romantic, denying etc points to that fact.

The best way to bring out the truth is for the wife to seclude herself from both the husband and the girl's family. She should ONLY create a space for the ladies family to come over to the house and address this issue with the alleged culprit.

No point trying to find out the truth from the husband,it can only bring more pain from his denial.Be in solitude and watch as her husband and her paternal family take out on eachother.Even if they try dragging her in it,I suggest she remains silent and focused on her kids.Whrn the husband realize the wife ain't buying no body's bullshiit,he will find away to involve the family when the heat is much.Maybe at that point the truth will finally be out.
Yes i know he is likely the father i was just giving an example to show why talking about virginity is not helping at this stage

Well whichever way they can get him to admit it, because right now he is not talking.

Pregnancy is not a secret.Them no dey hide belle. If you like use wrapper cover am,the pikin go still jump out finally for all to see.

There's absolutely nothing too early or too late when it comes to shame and disgrace. This embarrassment has come to stay....Forever trust me.As a mother you should blast it loud, especially in an Igbo community where news travel faster than wind.A serious family meeting is urgent at this time, the wife should remain mute and make her children her only source of strength at this trying times. Both the husband and niece betrayed her, but the bulk of it comes from her husband. He should know better, you don't cheat with people close to your wife. There are millions of lose women in Nigeria, not a teenager under your care.Inugo

Are you not a woman?Do you know the value mother's place on their daughter to marry as virgins? If she must lose her virgnity, not to a married in law or anyone who can't take full responsibility as a husband. You get it now?
Of course I get it, nobody would tag their own daughter as loose but I find it a naive thing to say when somebody is pregnant already. Ok if they get the dna test and the man is not even the father, what would the mum say again? virginity is not the be-all and end all of raising a morally upright and responsible daughter, even though remaining chaste has a spiritual advantage.

all the mum could say is "she was not pregnant when she left this house, now how come she is pregnant"

Thats all a mum can vouch for if she is not watching the daughter 24/7

When his wife asked him, did you marinate her snail with your mayonnaise?

Asssuming he answered yes, this story would be different........

He denied responsibility, the best way forward is to extract the truth.....

Why wait for DNA result, to proof paternity? If he refuses to provide sample for the DNA test, this denial sequence continues..........
You can get his hair or his toothbrush for a dna sample, he does not need to agree first.

You women are your own worst enemy.
If you are aware of your daughter's chastity before you handed her over to your sister and in-law,only for her to return back to you pregnant. And to make matter worst, she is accusing your in-law.HOW WOULD YOU FEELhuh??
Accusing the in-law of what? If this is a rape accusation then I can see where the accusation is coming from but otherwise, i dont really grab what the girls mothers point is,

a virgin can be deflowered at any point and lie about it, the virginity is not the point.

It's not foolish my friend!Call a meeting of every parties involved.A teenager is pregnant and the culprit is within. If it was your daughter what would you do?Those who are meant to be responsible,on whose care you handed her over is telling you strange stories?
Sorry but calling a family meeting at this early stage just brings more embarrassment to the woman and her kids. This should be kept a total secret. Cant believe the nieces mother is the one blasting it, unless the girl is saying the man raped her

Madam walk up to your Niece, tell her that you are ready to accept her as second wife; that in few weeks, you will come with your husband to pay her bride price..do so to your husband too; tell him that you are willing to accept your Niece as second wife and that you will escort him to pay her bride price.
Relax and see how this move will birth a natural solution to the problem on ground.

She may not have been a virgin , that is what the mother believes. Whether you believe her or not the proper way is to get a confirmation and not to just judge because she has fingered him. It's either they get a DNA test done or use a lie detector. If you have ever been falsely accused you'll know it's not an easy thing , I'm not saying she's falsely accusing him but the man can't be judged just because she said it's him and a proper confirmation must be carried out to know the truth
*Modified* Exactly, what does being a virgin have to do with it when somebody is already pregnant. I dont agree with the girls mother, so if youre not a virgin you cant get pregnant?

I will never understand why a man with four kids will want to ridicule his family like this, I make no excuses for him. All I'm saying is that if a man's wife says he is honourable, she knows what she is saying cos she lives with him over the years. We have no reason to doubt her. Thats d point of my arguement
Yes you have a point there.

Lol "looking after her" ke? So what were they supposed to be doing when she came to stay with them

Hm. The niece doesnt even sound too smart or she has an agenda, if shes going to fight them with fire then she shouldnt be so stupid as to go back there

My dear u can't say that. We make mistakes and have crisis atimes. U have no idea if the wife has been a model wife herself, u don't know how long the man has held up his head and just one moment of indiscretion or bad decision can ruin it all. This may be just his one bad moment of weaknes
Lol but at the end of all this grammar, what he did was bloody disgusting, just admit it

If this pregnant lady remains in that house, her life would be in serious danger..... To cover their tracks and avoid exposing the truth...... They would kill her....

The truth......
She has already gone back to her mother

To stop the truth from emerging, the niece would have aborted without saying anything and then quietly and peacefully packed out. For her to come out and accuse at 19 (she was not a minor) she must want everything to come out, for whatever reason

Do you think this has never happened to anybody before whilst staying with their Auntie?

The cat is already out of the bag...

To do DNA test, her husband has to agree because they will need to collect somethings from him.
If he's innocent, why wouldnt he agree...

OP, to find out the truth

Ask him to take a lie detector test
-If he's innocent and has nothing to hide, he would accept this in order to clear himself. If he's guilty, he's going to refuse.
Lie detector is not too reliable, I wouldnt recommend for a serious case like this

Mine was when I went to my school ict center to make an inquiry. I was new then so I had to ask some questions. I met two of the computer handlers discussing with an elderly woman. So I waited for them to finished talking so I could ask them about something. Actually after the woman left the two computer handlers (girls) continued discussing as if they didn't see me at all and when I grew tired of waiting I actually said please excuse me and one fair girl responded is something wrong with you? I just immediately left.....i Sha talked to a older woman at the counter and she directed me calmly.

Man why are human beings just so rude and heartless? Especially to emotional people?
Lol, sounds like when i went to ask a police officer for directions and she responded with " angry Are you mad?"

Dont know what we did to any of these people...

so much stupid comments I have 3 frnds from mbaise I have dated a gal from MBAISE and I can tell you wit all assurance that all those rubbish said about them is absolute trash people are bad not because of the tribe they come from but because they choose to be bad
only a reasonable person would know this
A person is still a product of their culture...their choice to be good or bad can be influenced by cultural factors. What is "good" to some people may not be to others...thats how all these stereotypes are born

those mbaise people have a reputation for always trying to outsmart people. If somebodys cultural/life orientation handed down by their parents is " do not let anybody cheat you" and they go about messing people up, then they would be seeing their actions as "good" while other people would be getting irritated with them

So its not as simple as all that
