Please, can you give us details on how iliquid and insolvent the five banks are. It seems you've got all the information on how iliquid and how insolvent the 5 banks are.

@oyb
If you read my post very well, i never said anything about Sanusi giving the CEOs another chance. Does telling them to resign without so much noise equate to giving them another chance?
I only said that to avoid this impression that he has given customers and investors, he would have told them to resign without any noise since he planned not to let the banks fail but make them stronger. I cant see where i mention anything about giving them another chance.
Please, read my post over again, i guess you did not read it well.
PoliticsRe: Do You Approve Of Lamido Sanusi's Actions? by mightlove(f): 10:37am On Aug 27, 2009
Well, i dont know why some of the posters like biina, otokx,fyneguy etc have refused to be objective in their reasoning.
T a very large extent, a good number of people are not against Sanusi's so callled 'clean up' of the banks. The problems here are
1. There are better approaches to doing this. He could have advised the CEOs to resign and would have avoided all the problems he has caused the economy and the only thiving industry in Nigeria. He keeps saying this is only a clean up which is meant to make the banks stronger and therefore the depositors and investors should not panic. All that would have been taken care of if he had not taken the approach he took. Why announce the sack/removal of MDs in the media? Doing that in my opinion is not in the interest of the investors and customers cos it would rather cause panick.
2. Who says that the 5 banks that have been cleared do not do insider trading, manipulation of shares, money laundering and all the other offences he claimed the 5 banks whose CEOs were sacked are into.
3. What was the basis of the audit on? Cos i know that if it is based on which banks manipulate shares, do insider trading and all, then i believe that the 5 banks that are cleared would not be cleared. So lets know what exactly these pple were sacked for. If it is based on the amount of non-performing loans then fine, but it really annoys me when i hear people talk about share manipulation cos all the cleared banks do the same.

PoliticsRe: Charles Soludo Should Be Arrested By EFCC? by mightlove(f): 12:44pm On Aug 20, 2009
I guess the problem here is that Sanusi was in so much haste to show that he has outshined Soludo forgeting that he was not there to compete against Soludo but to continue from where he stopped.

LadyT:
The question is when did they actaully start paying it back!
My question is: When was this audit taken? The list says "as at may 31st.
Sanusi assumed office sometime in June remember? And this is August.

@Jarus
be bradminded, do not totally push away what Vanguard newpaper said because they benefit from organizing bankers' awards.
In as much as I try to believe Sanusi's move is to Sanitize the banking industry, a greater part of me thinks this is truly political.
Remember, it was suspected earlier and I hope this does not have anything to do with Islamic banking he has been supporting seriously.
Lets sit back and watch as events unfold. We hope for the best anyway.
PoliticsRe: Sanusi Lamido: Another Nuhu Ribadu In The Making? by mightlove(f): 8:47am On Aug 20, 2009
@Jarus
Dont be so narrow minded. The fact that vangurad organizes bankers award does not mean whatever they say is a lie. There may be an element of truth in it.
In as much as I am thinking Sanusi's move is to sanitize the Nigerian banking industry, a greater part of me thinks this whole thing is political.
Lets sit back and watch as the drama unfolds. Do not just criticize vanguard for nothing. There is no smoke with a fire and like you read, this whole thing was sensed earlier, even before Sanusi was made CBN governor.
I even heard they are pressing very hard for Islamic banking in Nigeria. Who knows where they are heading?

His first wife remains his rightful wife i.e. the yoruba girl he married 1st. To be in God's will, he will have to go back to her. it doesnt matter how he married the french girl - be it in a church, traditionally or however, the relationship he is having with her remains an adulterous one.

Thank you doc.
In response to your question,
No particular conditons. I am actually doing very well,have never had any abortions, miscarriage or any cervical issues.Just being curious and want to take every measure possible to keep my baby healthy and safe till term (I will be 16 weeks by friday). I was just wandering if a woman who has cervical incompetence can ever be diagnosed of it before she loses a baby or does it always have to be diagnosed after she has had pre-term contractions and lost the baby? I asked this cos all the cases I know of, it's only after a woman has lost a baby during the 2nd trimester that her Dr. realises that she has cervical incompetence.

"People like you are the ones that go around stressing the MRS in your name so that everyone will know you're married. "

Your opinion. And what is even wrong in letting everyone know I am married?Am I supposed to go around saying I am single when I am actually married? You make me laugh.

"And by the way, you who is sooooooo proud to be married, how long do you want to bet until your husband starts tapping teenage ass?

My guess is, it won't be too long.

Call me when your husband starts hissing at young girls passing by the road through the tinted windows of his SUV. "

Well, that time will never come cause he is not the type. Not all men do that and my husband happens to be one of those few that will not do it.I hope u get wat I mean.
Anyway, good luck to you.

I dont know why we act or talk like our thinking is retarded.
We all know that there is no need bringing ethniticity into this. A Nigerian is a Nigerian, but the trust remains that what Aloy.Emeka did is veeeeeeerrry wrong and there is no how it can correct the wrong platinumnk did. Afterall,  platinumnk is Igbo too, so its not as if she is saying her ethnic group is superior.

please, if you people dont have an important contribution to make to the dicussion, why the waste of space?
IslamRe: Nigerian Islamist Attacks Spread by mightlove(f): 9:29am On Jul 29, 2009
@fellis
Please, lets be honest. Have you ever heard or seen where christians would start up a fight against the moslems and kill them because the moslems do not believe in christianity? I hope you know that all the religious riots we have ever had in this countries were initiated by the moslems killing christian because according to them, they are unbelievers. Of course in the course of self defence, the christians fight back. One of the posters said that christians are suppose to turn the other cheek when slapped. i guess that is why the moslem folk have always taken advantage of christians because they know that they wont fight back but gone are those days oh. The christians are very ready and always on the alert so that if any moslems comes up to kill them, they will fight back and that I hope you know is not a sin. Fighting back in self defence, especially when it comes to such wars is not a sin. I dont know why the moslems would always try to make it look as if the Jihad/holy war as you ppeople call it is not supported by the moslems. You people claim that Islam is a religion of peace. Who then are those that fight the christians and intigate their fellows to kill the christians? every jihad is discussed in the mosque by your leaders according to what i learnt and when the killers come around, they only look out for christians to kill. They do not kill those of you that belong to the Islam religion.Please, can you enlighten me on this whole religious crisis stuff? If it is not initiated and supported by moslems, why then do they look out for christians only and spare the moslems?

@sugarbelly

Please, let everyone believe what they believe and do what they wish to do. The fact that you do not believe in marriage or may not be enjoying your marriage does not mean you should try to brainwash everybody into hating marriage or having same views on marriage as you. and yes, I am one of those women that are very proud of their wedding rings and i am proud to be married and i see my marriage as a great achievement plus i am enjoying my marriage sooooooooooo much. There is nothing anyone can say or do to change my thinking towards marriage.

Hi Dr.,
1. i want to know if there are other causes of cervical incompetence apart from a previous DC and any cervix related operation.

2. my other question is on mercury contained in sea foods. I read that some sea fishes have a high amount of mercury which is not good for the foetus. Mackerel (king) is one of them. does that mean that the mackerel fishes that re being sold in nigeria (which Nigerians call titus) are also dangerous to the foetus? my own opinion is that they are safe since they are not large fishes, and they often times weigh less than 1kg. i just want to be very sure because i crave them now that am pregnant but i do not want to eat them at the detriment of my baby.If it is harmful to the baby, i can do very well do without them.

binhozie:
Why are all the ladies here jumping to the defence of their womenfolks. Accept your faults period. I'm not trying to sound sexist, but the MAN calls the shots. He married you, and put the ring on your fuc.k.ing finger to prove that. Did i just hear someone say wedding rings are ugly? And someone else said if its not diamond its coming off? Chai
Binhozie, maybe you dont live among Nigereia women but the truth is Nigerian women wear their rings almost all the time. Well, the idea is not about it been expensive or not. Its about the quality of the metal used. I personally used diamond and gold as an example cos I know they are quality metals and they dont fade. All these other rings you see in oshodi cannot stand ordinary water, let alone perfumes or some other sort of chemicals. In a short while, they fade and give some form of black coloration to the skin around it. Would you wear such?or would you allow your wife wear such?It may just be used in the church as a formality for the wedding and thereafter, they do away with it and get gold if they have the money or go without any if they cannot afford gold.
