Men are very good at saying a particular thing but act the exact opposite, you will see men all over social media saying they will go for brains over beauty but in reality you will see these same men ignoring the brain and going extra length to attract a beautiful lady and eventually marry them.

They were agitating saying whether Jesus and his so called father like it or not that's the best they can give and since they're Abraham's descendants God had no choice than to accept their worship.
Now you need to understand what John the baptist said earlier to this false religionsts my friend "God can raise children for Abraham from stones" {Matthew 3:9} meaning people from different races on this planet will become Abraham's descendants through their faith {Matthew 8:11} Apostle Paul expatiate on this when he said "even if you're a Jew (Israelites) by birth but failed to exercise faith in Jesus, the heavens will not recognize you as a Jew, but no matter where you come from once you believe in Jesus the heavens counts you as a Jew" Romans 2:28-29 compare to John 1:11-12

So my friend the lost sheep of the house of Israel means people who wants to join God's one and only pure worship {Matthew 5:6} therefore no matter where you come from if you're always seeking the one and only group of worshipers practicing pure worship the God of Abraham has marked you as one of Abraham's descendants! In the story about a great man of valour called Jephthah who made a vow to offer as burnt offering to God anybody that first comes out of his house if God gives himvictory against the Ammonites. We learnt that it was his only child (a daughter) that first came out to welcome him & he had no option than to fulfill his vow by sacrificing her after giving her 2months to mourn her virginity in the mountains with her friends.
Now, here are my questions:

1. By fulfilling his vow to God does it mean that he actually sacrificed her as burnt offering to God in the same way animals are sacrificed to God?

2. If the answer to the first question is yes, then does it mean that God accepts human sacrifice (as burnt offering) at that time?

Remember that God did not allow Abraham to sacrifice Isaac & there was no record of any human sacrifice to God before & after the incident with Jephthah

3. Could it also be possible that probably Jephthah actually meant sacrificing his daughter to the service of God & not actual sacrifice that entails burning her to death?

If you're still contemplating on the response just bear in mind that the FRUIT in question has never been evaluated on individual bases otherwise Jesus wouldn't have condemned the Pharisees as a GROUP after all Nicodemus was also a Pharisee and from the look of things this man was good!
Judas Iscariot, Thomas, Peter, Ananias, Saphirras and the Christian caught sleeping with his father's younger wife were all Christians.
So if we are to go by individual judging then we can say Based on the attitude of Nicodemus there's nothing wrong with the teachings of the Pharisees since they are able to produce a good fruit like Nicodemus.
And Based on the attitude of Judas Iscariot (who betrayed Jesus) Thomas (the unbelieving disciple) Peter (the one who denied Jesus three times) Ananias and Saphirras (couple who lied to God's Holy Spirit) and the other Adulterer. Can we say Jesus' teachings was a failure?

But let's look at it from the other angle:
What was the aim of the Pharisees?
To rule their nation so whoever stands on their way should be exterminated!

What was the aim of the Christians?
To unite people of all races under Jesus Christ so they must not kill anyone EVEN ENEMIES SEEKING TO KILL THEM!

As the two GROUPS continue with their WORKS {James 2:18-26} one will start producing the FRUIT recorded in the Bible book of Galatians 5:19-21 while the other one will start producing the FRUIT @ Galatians 5:22-23

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm i just laugh whenever you try to debunk the TRUTH because it's undeniable! Whenever Jesus talk about the Pharisees did he single out Nicodemus since that one is his friend or he condemned the acts of the GROUP?
Just compare the first century Christian congregation with the Pharisees and tell everyone the difference whether it's on individual bases that the two differ or on GROUP bases!

Before the coming of Christ God revealed to his people that when the Messiah comes to restore pure worship and perfected it Israelites will see a sign to show them the GROUP of people in whose gathering the spirit of God dwells {Joel 2:27-29} so after Jesus' ascension to heaven the Israelites were still in confusion as to which group has God's spirit working with them.
Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, and lots of other Jewish Rabbis were having serious issues with one another so after they've killed Jesus they thought their enemy and accuser is gone for good only for his disciples to start preaching and teaching with all the signs their God foretold through His prophet Joel!
So Peter quenched the spiritual thirst of this people when he reminded them of what God said through prophet Joel! Act 2:14-36
When the people heard Peter and regained their sanity they were moved to their marrow that they asked with broken hearts saying "brothers what must we do now?" Act 2:37
Now that was the sign to help the Israelites RECOGNIZED pure worship in the midst of the controversy going on back then in the first century. But the question is this: does this sign means there will not be found any wrongdoings in the midst of those practicing pure worship?

This answer is NO!
So the fruit Jesus talked about wasn't something of individuals but a GROUP thing because there were kind hearted and generous individuals in the midst of Pharisees e.g Nicodemus, but as a GROUP the Pharisees weren't producing the fruit befitting God's organized people! Matthew 7:16-18

I'm sure even you can't identify them by their fruits. Why?
The tares and the wheat are very similar in nature.

A wheat (true pastor) could easily be struggling with some sin that easily besets him and you conclude that he's a tare.
While a tare (false pastor) can easily pretend to manifest some of the gifts and fruit of the spirit and you will erroneously assume he's a wheat.

So while it's easy to quote the scripture and say you will identify them by their fruits, reality has proven that this is sometimes not even easy to discern.
