IslamRe: Why Do Non-Muslim Terrorists Get Little Press Coverage? by MightySparrow: 7:22am On Jun 13, 2013
SURY Suri: Allah is indeed sufficient for us and will save the Muslims from the hypocrites!
The symbol of islam is crescent, star, and sword. The religion was enforced by sword and sustained by same. Lest I forget the thread: the world is taught the art and science of terrorism by Islam and Mo (pbuh)
If there is any legacy left by Mo (pbuh) is nothing left by terrorism.
Dear believers stop whinning.

Christianity EtcRe: Can A Christian Filled With Holy Spirit Interpret This? by MightySparrow: 7:55am On Jun 10, 2013
Are you a serious believer or one of the mixed - multitude? If truly you are baptized in the Holy Spirit settle down with the Bible, read good books on Holy Spirit from people with proofs not mockers on NL.

PoliticsRe: Opon Imo Launched By Osun Today by MightySparrow:
Awolowo must be a genius, a reference point in history of Nigeria. He is dead though, but he us alive in our hearts, his legacies are on the roof tops for others to wonder at. The monumental development of adherents to his values testify. Where are the legacies of contemporaries? Many on this thread love to crucify Yorubas or claim superiority for baseless causes. Some of these cynics were born in SW either benefited in UPN free education or their parents did. The emagwalis in Akure, Iwealas from ISI, Ibadan, the Achebes of UI and many others. This Opon imo from Osun is another land mark a product of a sophisticated mind. No doubt the few people to be impacted by this will definitely be far better in future than Alaba trained ignoramuses and frustrated almajiris turned Boko Haram. SW go on showing them the way to human development.
you are the most senseless and myopic of all the igbohaters on this thread. You can't beat igbo literary and scientific achievements both home and abroad. Live with it, or better still sip chilled otapiapia.
Where are they? Emagwuli who was trained.in Akure SW ngozi Okonjo - Iweala trained in International school, Ibadan and a host of them. How many are trained from Onitsha or Aba market? Name any patented invention of igbo man home or abroad.
PoliticsRe: Kayode Fayemi (ACN) Vs Segun Oni (PDP): Supreme Court Judgement 2moro (may 31st) by MightySparrow: 5:15pm On May 31, 2013
Engr. Segun Oni is a good man in a wrong party. Ekiti people are too elightened for the wuruwuru to the answer of PDP. He was a good governor he could contest again under any credible party.

I think the SW will be the ONLY peaceful survivor and prosperous nation. All the parameters that make a great nation is in SW: one people, one language, one culture etc. This is all colonial masters in history tried to achieve by imposing theirs to ensure a lasting empire. This is natural phenomenon in sw. Besides, the only factor of production as opposing to what I learned in secondary school economics is knowledge, this is being demonstrated by Japan. SW has this knowledge and continues to develop on it. Even now, the farming of the north, the merchandise of the SE, is being used to service the SW now. Lastly, the rule of law is mostly taken seriously by SW this is very important for a nation's development. This is what upholds UK and in spite of her little natural resources is still very strong only on tax which I don't thin there is any part in now Nigeria that pays tax more than SW.
PoliticsRe: Shutdown Of Cellphone Networks In Yola Adamawa State. by MightySparrow: 1:23pm On May 31, 2013
Hoodrat: War in Africa: it is the imperialist elites who insist on inventing imaginary, shadowy, enemies, when the enemy is the Imperialist elites themselves. Imperialist media War propaganda manipulates us into intensifying genocide as the imperialist capitalists corporations rake profits.

The imperialist capitalist philosophy is predicated upon the destruction of humanity, the annihilation of the will of the people. imperialists do not save lives, they save money.

The imperialist capitalist system is designed to help the powerful continent and enslave Africa;it is the very vessel of slavery.

Imperialist capitalist global system thrives on stealing the resources of the poor, and starving them so they can't complain. imperialist international police state, designed to ensure that the oppressed remain silently oppressed.
Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism.

In order for capitalism to generate greater profits than the home market can yield ,Imperialist merging of banks and industrial cartels produces finance capitalism.

We must straighten our backs and strive for our freedom. No one can ride you, unless your back is bent to be rode on. Straighten your mind. Seizing power from the Imperialist capitalists and their local puppet and putting in the hands of the struggling masses. We thought Hitler was the worse of the worst but we have many of Hitlerians today in Africa causing genocides, mass destruction, unnecessary wars etc.
Your Turenchi too much. Haba!
IslamRe: Things Muslim Communities Can Do To Curb Extremism by MightySparrow: 6:04am On May 27, 2013
deols: Why on earth would I trust such.

But if you are talking of hamas, you should naturally expect sympathy from Muslims all over the world. Categorizing them.as a terrorist group would not do justice.

Many people can not differentiate the freedom fighters from the extremists. That would not help such a poll. IMHO.
Freedom from what?

PoliticsRe: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by MightySparrow: 10:08am On May 22, 2013
patrick89: This is a very intelligent response! But then I don't see anything wrong in making achebe the father of African literature he deserves it, owing to the fact that he popularized African literature through his work, I have few questions here to ask who is the Queen of nollywood? Who is the father of nollywood? what criteria were used in given them the title? Now let me chip in one thing more, those so called *first to do that and do this in Nigeria how did they get to be the first? He(soyinka) clearly stated that in the field like this, even in the music industry there must be this kind of tussle, so Achebe is the father of literature and so what? He is a "storyteller" he (soyinka)used there to me is absurd! I rest my case here
Achebe wrote fiction and he is known for that so, he is a story teller. WS writes drama (whatever name is given that in literature. What is absurd in that?)
PoliticsRe: Ombatse Used Cutlass To Fight Police by MightySparrow: 8:30am On May 22, 2013
The governor of Nasarawa state should give peace a chance. There had been silent killings going on months before this last one mostly in eggon villages for political reasons they say. As a southerner leaving in Nasarawa I think I am more informed on this issue than most NL senarists. Our political leaders are dishonest. Bloodshed should stop in Nasarwa state.
PoliticsRe: PDP Governors Have Performed Best In Nigeria- Tukur by MightySparrow: 1:04am On May 22, 2013
In my own opinion the spell of PDP in sw where I belong was marked by lawlessness and sterility. Few governors who could have worked except Ladoja of Oyo state were rigged into office and did not have peoples' acceptance. Their time is the worst I have witnessed in my own observation. I shooled in UPN led administration I did not pay a dime. All text books I needed were supplied now in Osun state the same has been improved upon by 'Opon Imo' a computer tablet having 56 text books for SSS students to mention a few. I think Tukur only visited PDP states or he is not honest in his accessment.
Christianity EtcRe: Christianity & Islam: Are They Really "Sister Faiths"? by MightySparrow: 6:06am On May 18, 2013
Islam is a religion of the brother of Isaac - ishmael. Islam is different from christianity in its entirety, the name of God known to both jews and christians all ever the world even in Mo's town and time is JEHOVAH when he introduced Allah out of revelation or jealoisy the world has never known peace fulfilling the holiest of all holy books - Bible

'And the angel of the Lord said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude. 11 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lord hath heard thy affliction.12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.''
Gen. 16: 10 - 12
Islam is a design by God to keep his brethren awake. If you live next to a muslim be awake!
Aslaam alyakum!

Education simply means sharpening one's mind. Knowledge means you become a library of other's thought and findings. Fanaticism robs humanity of these. Galileo was imprisoned by the church when he made known his scientific finding. The western world moved forward when they put religion in its position. This issue of introducing religious rules to our schools is a way of imprisonment of mind: our secularity and education have giving us a leading position in Nigeria compare to northern bigots. How has this religious bigotry benefited Saudi, or Iraq etc. They refuse to break away from their past and they are problem of the world today no less than almajiris of the north. Kudos to Fashola who dares to bring a change like Kemal Ataturk of Turkey who brought radical changes to Turkey. Omo Oduduwa; ogbon nbe eniyan wa.
You are ranting rubbish my friend, he clearly made his point, and he stressed the fact that we need to tolerate & respect each others belief for peace to reign. Our constitution doesn't abolish wearing the Hijab to school, why then should the commissioner single handedly instigate a problem which necessarily ought not to be.

I'd have expected her to focus on issues more demanding like improving the quality of Education in the state rather pass judgment
