agaugust: since south africa is full of criminals in broad daylight...R.apists and Armed Robbers....all over your country, and Rhino Poachers are still de-horning Rhinos under your noses on your homeland soil with south african air force helicopter crashing down while pursuing Rhino poachers and your SANF military officers die chasing Rhino poachers....Nope!!!! South Africa navy is now patrolling in your waters. That's how we flex our muscle again your face. We are talking about military stuff Mr police officer AKA Lord Seleka..........I bet our rangers are better trained than your soldiers, did you see the programme on Al jazeera? |
Henry120: If you missed the last episode of the "war in october", a documentary by aljazeera on the "yum kippur war", it is definitely a "Shame" and very unfortunate.I wish august could watch it. And Learn how Israel was about to defeat an enemy with massive numbers. |
chris365: But you still have them don't you. Yes we pulled out but it was never because of boko haram.Weak navy, how are you gonna win a naval battle against SAN with your weak navy. Failing to combat piracy. ewn.mobi/news/Local/pirate-attacks-off-nigerian-coast-surge/11172 |
agaugust: .Unguided rockets ? We are laughing at you Sir. Come back, when Nigeria tests a guide missile like the Denel's Mokopa missile and Ingwe missile. |
rka1: Just like you don't know anything about the conflicts the Nigerian Armed Forces have been in.Biafra,Sierra Leone,Liberia?.....Show me where your mechanised units fought a well organised enemy. Show me where your air force was engaged in a dogfight..........south Africa can defeat Nigeria any time, your ground forces will lack the capability to track South African armour on the ground and destroy. |
rka1: Aahh! Our fantasist again with his sweeping statementsResorting to jokes again?......Your commanders have never seen burning fires of the African battlefield. Smell of burning armour(Tanks and APCs). You're yet to be baptised under real fire(MRLS,fighter jets and artillery). With no experience why should we rank Nigeria above Ethiopia and South Africa? |
NaijaPikinGidi: Trash is back just the way they like it ... recycled!Hate it or whatever history will never change. Posting real facts seems to be making you angry, but how cares I WILL REMANDING YOU. Cause you forget easily!!!! |
chris365: A further proof that you have no idea of what you say.Soldiers who commit crimes in the USA army are put in military courts, and are then investigations taken. But your soldiers are killing and starving enemy combatants and this ill disciplined boys are not taken to military courts. Disciplined armed forces punish soldiers who commit any crime. "RESPECT YOUR ENEMY"!!!! |
NaijaPikinGidi: I have begged you guys to leave Mike..ZA to bask his brains in his recycle bin! Cutting and pasting rubbish from scrap material is his mainstay! SMH. Even CrazePig has strayed back here again? Spam-times are here again.I want facts not some rubbish talk. Recycled or whatever a fact is a fact and the FACT is Nigeria lacks experience, modern equipment and understanding how battles are fought in high heat Africa. |
agaugust: .....like the 1987 bush war where South Africa was almost defeated by tiny Cuba that was fighting about 10,000km away from its Carribean Islands homeYou don't know a thing about the bush war. By saying "the 1987 bush war" only proves it well. What is known about the bush is: Every time when Cuban troops made contact with the South Africans they took heavy casualties. Ask what happened when tried to help their swapo brothers during the battle of cassinga. Or maybe ask about the Bridge 14 battle. Cuban troops or commanders had Soviet advisors,to make up for their ill experience, and received massive quality equipment from the communists. |
rka1: Whether you like it or not, Biafra, Chad (Armourd corp under Buhari);Biafra The civil of mercinaries?......Nigerian armed forces. Have no conventional warfare experience. Your forces will be wiped out before your commanders can realise what's going on. Ask the Americans what happens when "overconfident and ill experienced" soldiers are thrown into combat against a experienced General and his men(soldiers). |
rka1: Okay by me, that is the Nigerian army's bread and butter. You say so? When did Nigeria fight any conventional war against a well organised and supplied foe with air force and navy!!!!! I'm talking blood and steal!!! Mechanised war, special forces......From artillery, tank battles, helicopter insertions, dogfights,EW,joint operations, supplies, armour camouflage and ground bombings. |
Hezron Lorraine: It looks bogus and intimidating.it's not as expensive as I thought.Nigeria may not really need it.Scud missiles are known for being inaccurate. Gaddafi's forces fired a capable of them during the civil there, they're usually used to carry chemicals and can be a serious deterrent. But if you're facing an enemy possessing them it can be a nightmare if your air force is weak, cause you will have to hunt down and destroy this mobile launchers and destroy. The Coalition air force in Iraqi faced or did this. If not the enemy can keep throwing this things, while moving launchers constantly to avoid to counter battery fire or detection. Here's what I think about them included in African countries' arsenals: Since most sub-saharan African air forces are weak and our armies don't have GPS guided MRLS like most western nations, having them in your arsenal can prove as a serious deterrent to hostile nations. This is why the SANDF needs its long range powerful artillery pieces,to bombard fields, mechanised units, supplies, infantry and SAM locations filling the role of bombers. |
rka1: Ask any army currently in the theatre fighting an insurgency whether they would prefer counter terrorism/counter insurgency warfare or conventional warfare and which is more difficult.Let's talk about conventional warfare. |
rka1: In other words, you don't know. This shows discipline? I use reports, records, expert analyses and experience. "Nigeria urged to probe 'custody killings' Last updated: 4 hours ago Amnesty International says nearly 1,000 people with suspected Boko Haram links have died in military detention centres. The London-based rights group Amnesty International is seeking an investigation into the alleged deaths of hundreds of people in detention facilities during a crackdown on Muslim groups in Nigeria, saying it has evidence. In a report on Tuesday, the organisation said that "credible information" from a senior Nigerian army officer indicated that more than 950 people suspected of having links to Boko Haram died in military custody in the first six months of this year. Boko Haram, an armed group, wants to topple the Nigerian government and impose an Islamic state, and has been responsible for thousands of deaths. Amnesty International said prisoners had been suffocated, starved and subjected to extra-judicial killings in the army-led operation in the country's northeast. It said senior Ministry of Defence officials had not responded to written details about soldiers on April 19 depositing 60 bodies at the main hospital mortuary in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, claiming they were killed in a shootout. But a source told Amnesty International they were detainees taken from their cells and shot. It said other detainees have suffocated and starved to death in horrendous conditions. The Nigerian army has consistently rejected accusations of human-rights abuses." |
NaijaPikinGidi: Mike..ZAHere are the facts: No matter where the Nigerian armed would meet the SANDF in a battle situation. Your army would perish under real fire, before your army can learn how to fight a conventional war. It will be wiped out SAAF. |
rka1: Can you kindly expand on what makes Botswana a more disciplined army, i.e. what criteria you used? Are you talking about a parade ground army or discipline under combat conditions etc.Apply your "ranking systems". Which you use to rank how discipline a army is to the BDF. |
agaugust: hahahaShow us where Nigeria's Navy fired its otomat missile in Anger or test against a stealth ship. Point defence: The Umkhonto missile protects the ship from all sides, any missiles or bombs that bridge this can be shredded by the Denel dual purpose gun at range of 6km. |
agaugust: maybe not in south africa, there are american civilians who were trained by ex-USAF combat pilots to fly privately owned jet fighters, and many of them have the combat skills taught to them on those jets, but they have never used it in war because they are civilians.Flying a fighter jet does not make one a fighter pilot. You can fly some fighter jets in Cape Town, people who wanna go supersonic around the world come here. |
agaugust: i mean BVR AAM...beyond visual range air to air missiles. The F7 is simply an upgrade of the MIG-21 jet. Which SAAF shoot down in Angola using cannons not missiles. Anyone can predict which fighter will win between F7 jet vs the Griffin. |
agaugust: ....when compared to Botswana, Lesotho, and SwazilandBotswana has one of Africa's best disciplined infantry. Way better than Nigeria's. This comment further demonstrates how empty your head is. |
agaugust: my senior bros, me i don tell una before before, make nobody rush conclude say na shekau true true, dem boko haram fit just dey 419 the whole world with that dem doubtful new video.South Africa has the best infantry. Even DRC commanders were begging the SANDF to take command. After showing precise counter mortar fire, snipers and disciplined soldiers. And infantry can perish in an instead if the commander lacks experience like Nigeria does. "An INEXPERIENCED commander lacks some nerve". You can ask the Americans this!!! |
agaugust: everything about south african weapons technical details/specifications is available on free public internet....thats why civilians know how to sink your valour frigate from the airYou can get ranges of almost all missiles on the internet. Nigeria doesn't have any operational missile, you still don't have launch platforms. And that simulation showed nothing but how stupi'd you're,you think your air force will remove jets from backing the army in the North?...To show how weak your navy is,the SAS Spioenkop(valour class) will be patrolling in the sphere of influence again. |
andrewza: No I am not frigats.Have seen the beautiful beas(Rooivalk painted white for the UN mission)t? Rebels in EDRC are about to eat some steal. |
rka1: That is what war simulation is about. Recount please how may countries the world over have engaged in tank combat etc.? Does this mean they are going to be no good when it actually comes to real life tank warfare?Yes,example being Israel through fighting that trained it tanks crews in long range gunnery. Why was the T-35 not effective in the hands of North Korean troops? But was feared when the Soviets were using it. 1. African countries are poor and we don't have massive supply capabilities. 2. Which is why it is crucial to develop tactics for the African battlefield which will only come from experience. 3. African air forces fighting capabilities can't be compared to NATO countries who host a lot of training exercises. 4. Dogfight tactics are developed from combat experience like Israel's "four fingers" 5. Nigerian artillery pieces are obsolete and what do they use to track and select targets?,South Africa uses drones, special forces and ratels to mention a few. Where did we learn all this? Yes THE BUSHWAR!!!!! 6. Do you know the current commander of the SANDF tank regiment? Read about his story. 7. Your army rallies on numbers against rebels, but that won't be possible faced with a technological advanced country like SA. 8. How dare you rank Nigeria above SA with that lack experience 9. Remember wars are not just about armies and Generals, economics and politics are involved. 10.If the prospect of war between SA and Nigeria was real both countries would rearm their forces. But Nigeria would lose a lot of money purchasing foreign made weapons and spares. Which are not fitted for the African battlefield and need a lot of supplies to be effective. Example being your MI-35 helicopter which needs an airfield to rearm and fuel, which will mean you gonna have to pull jets from going to the front lines to defend a airfield or anti aircraft missiles. |
agaugust: Gripen missile too can miss target. What a foo.l South Africa won't jam a EW aircraft. They will jam your communication and radars before any mission. Bring the name NATO doesn't mean that system is world leading or the best in its class. All NATO 105mm NATO howitzers are out ranged by the AMLAGC(G7). NATO buys mine resistant vehicles from South Africa. NATO failed to detect a SAN submarine. ALL NATO MRLS are out ranged by the Russian smerch(with range of 90km). All NATO helicopter fired missiles are out ranged by the Mokopa missile. NATO doesn't mean "the best in its class". They just have massive funds, all their operations evolve around air power and technology(hacking and jamming). Vietnam defeated America and France because they couldn't use their air power effectively. South Africa is the only country in Africa that develops systems fitted for the African battle field. Less supplies, long distance, pack heavy fire power, less sophisticated support, situation awareness by your senior commander sitting your capital plus command and control. |
agaugust: tiny Cuba used teenage boys and girls to almost defeat south africa in bush war...disgrace to DENEL long range artillery G5 and G6The G5 and G6 came late in the 87-88 operations. But during the Bridge 14 battle they were smashed!!!! Cassinga raid they 150 were left dead. |
agaugust: i think the devil sent you to disturb me from posting the NAF vs SANDF war simulation again this weekend, i better leave you alone to roam around the streets with your 'hidden' i.n.s.a.n.i.t.ySouth West Township=Soweto. A lesson since you wanna become a refugee in South Africa and stay in that township. Which is an equivalent of your suburbs. |
agaugust: nigerian army, navy, and air force like any world class military is trained to fight against national armed forces of a country like south africa as enemy.Britain has never fought any full blown modern war in sub-saharan Africa. They trained South Africa but we perfected our fighting skills in the bush war,we now understand the African battlefield well. American trained troops in Africa have shown ill discipline on many occasions from Mali's. Coup leader to that DRC army unit which raped hundreds of girls. Without their(USA) air power most armies can defeat them. Your systems are not for the African battlefield. Where supplies or logistics can be a nightmare cause our air forces are not that powerful Don't you wonder why the SANDF always modify any foreign bought system to "africanise" it. Don't you wonder why the Rooivalk can refuel from drums out there among trees and rearm without the need for an airfield. Which are hard to defend,South Africa proved this even destroying planes on the airfield. |
rka1: Moving troops en masse is not a NORMAL THING. Not every one can do it. You forget that the Nigerian army from day one has been trained in conventional warfare with the use of tanks, artillery e.t.c.Show us were Nigeria artillery destroyed tanks,APCs,SAMs,infantry, fighter planes and airfields. Show us any tank battle by your army, which will be build base to your current tank commanders. Your achieve that stuff because you rally on numbers against disorganised rebels. Your army can be pinned down by artillery while sitting trying to bridge a minefield. |
agaugust: tiny Cuba used teenage boys and girls to almost defeat south africa in bush warDuring the cassinga raid 150 cuban were left dead by the parabats and SAAF with their tanks and APCs. Cuba got advice from well experienced USSR officers, but at bridge 14 they were smashed. Nigeria's army has never been to war. |

? We are laughing at you Sir. Come back, when Nigeria tests a guide missile like the Denel's Mokopa missile and Ingwe missile.
