No, you can't power your house loads directly from the charge controller, it is not designed for something like that, you only connect your load to your batteries or bus bar

So why then do charge controllers have ports for "load connection"? Pardon my plenty questions. Trying to get some basic knowledge to make good decisions.

The best approach is to use a bus bar.. drill 4 to 7 holes on it. Send battery there, inverter, charge controller, there..

The common approach is using the battery terminal, the inverter and charge controller all meet there

What about the loads of the building? Does it go there too?


Because it seems both the inverter and the CC has ports to connect building loads. Which one takes priority.

Please, I also want to know if a charge controller can power the loads directly bypassing the batteries. For example, during the day when there is sufficient sun power.

Just set your charge controller to the correct setting of your battery and hope for the best

I wont allow any inverter give me a beep sound personally bc the tone indirectly means low low low voltage most times far far far below 12v i.e 10.5v esp gel batteries. NEVER DISCHARGE A BATTERY BELOW 12V (dont eat more than 50% of ur charged battery under load)--- this is my tradition. I can only vouche for original full river batteries bc they are known for bn super rugged.

My Full River batteries only takes me for 2 years. Is that okay or the inverter/myself is messing up the battery lifespan?

I use two 200amps with 24V Prag 2KVA inverter set at 20amps charging current.

Yes it is true inverters have inbuilt charger, but in most cases, they never charge it well. Most times your batteries go low and to bring it back up with normal inbuilt charger is not attainable.

Haven't you heard of cases where the inverter batteries seller will tell you they need to supercharge your batteries so that it can attain back it optimal use ?

Although most of them will just tell you, your batteries are dead or bad. Lol They probably supercharge it or resell it sha.

And by the way, the supercharger is connected with the inverter and the batteries directly. It is not separate.

My batteries are weak. But I suspect they can still deliver if properly charged. Can the so called superchargers achieve that? Which one would you recommend please?

Yes u can if u're connecting in parallel thus giving a 12v connection but charging might be a problem depending on the inverter being used. I know microtek and luminous have decent charging capacities but prag has a better charge output than both.

But if u're doing a 1.5kve 12v connection in parallel without solar, I would advise u get an external charger, even the cheap Chinese models will do

I have Prag 2KVA inverter, but still suspecting poor charging as my batteries barely take me 2years. The inverter has 10/20amps charging option. For my 2nos 200amps full river batteries, I set the charging amperage to 20amps.

How does the external charger thing work pls? Will it still be able to resuscitate my weak batteries?

quanta battery for example, has 13.5v to 13.8v as charge voltage
kung long battery has 14.4v to 15v as charge voltage...


well designed inverters hv selectable battery charging switch with corresponding diff voltages, so you look at the battery and select the voltage that is specified.

luminous inverters, just have that useless low/meduim/high setting, with no information of the exact voltage its spewing out at each setting.
i still repeat, i will never buy a luminous inverter, only way i would consider it , is if i have solar..then i can set the correct charging voltage on the charge controller .

not charging a battery with the oem specified charging voltage will damage the battery and result in premature battery failure

I'm suspecting I'm experiencing premature battery failure.

With a charge controller present, will it take over the charging function of the inverter? I mean for grid charging.

CLARIFICATION: PLANNING APPROVAL IS DIFFERENT FROM C OF O/OTHER LAND TITLES
Before going fully into the topic of discourse, it is pertinent to make some clarifications of what planning permit/approval is. Approval to build or develop is completely different from land title.

Principal Ministries and agencies to deal with in order to get approval
Lands Bureau, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Office of the Surveyor General, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Transportation, LIRS, NTDA etc

THE PROCESS OF GETTING THE APPROVAL
In consonance with the Lagos State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law 2010, the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development is responsible for Physical Planning, Urban Development, Urban Regeneration and building control policies of Lagos State
The ministry also supervises the following agencies:
Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA): Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA): and Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA)

Planning Information
Either before or after buying the land, there is a need to apply for planning information from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

Preparation of documents
Upon getting a nod from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development based on the planning information, the next thing the intending developer should do is to start preparing necessary documents.

Submission of relevant documents
Sequel to the preparation of necessary documents to facilitate the application, the developer would then submit same to LASPPPA office in the local government area where the property is situated. Some of the documents to be submitted include the survey plan, architectural drawing, structural drawing, among others.

Obtaining assessment
Officer(s) will very verify the documents, request for more details if necessary, make corrections where necessary and thereafter schedule a site visit for inspection

Payments to be made
The assessment is always in two parts. Part 1 will be payment to me made to LASPPPA as the agency granting the approval and the other part will be payment to LASBCA for stage certification.

Issuance of development permit/ approval
Sequel to confirmation of payment into the dedicated account, officials of LIRS would issue a letter to the GM (as stated above). The letter would enable LASPPPA to complete the approval process and development permit is issued to the applicant/developer.

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
After getting the approval from LASPPPA, there is need for LASBCA to grant approval to commence construction. The developer cannot just mobilize workers to site on the basis of obtaining approval. Developer must take the approval to LASBCA in order to get another approval to commence work.

MOVING INTO YOUR HOUSE AFTER COMPLETION OF DEVELOPMENT
After completing the development, LASBCA must issue certificate of completion of building construction and fitness for habitation before the developer or house owner can move in

PROFESSIONALS TO ENGAGE FOR PLANNING APPROVAL
In consonance with the LAGOS STATE PHYSICAL PLANNING PERMIT REGULATIONS, 2019 issued by TPL (Dr.) Idiris Okanla̕ Salako the Commissioner for Urban and Regional Planning, the following are the appropriate relevant professionals registered to practice in Nigeria:
(i) an Architect, registered (ii) an Engineer, registered (iii) a Town Planner, registered (iv) a Licensed Surveyor, (v) a Builder, registered (vi) an Estate Surveyor and Valuer registered (vii) a Quantity Surveyor registered

2006 engine used by 2 previous owners as personal vehicle in Ohio
Very consistent servicing history shown on report by same garage from 2005 until 2nd owner took over in 2019.
Reported actual mileage of 209,381
Still in the US early this year, had accident in February, 2020 and was declared total loss by Insurance, was thereafter issued salvage title.

I want to replace my Odyssey car engine, I then decided to follow your advice by doing a VIN check. Most of the engines do not have the VIN tags, I was even thinking maybe those guys were deliberating removing the tags. I finally got one with tag and did a check.

For the only engine I was able to check, the last reported location was Canada in 2017 and the Odometer was reported as 286,000 kilometres as at then . The mileage is quite scary but its a 2005 engine, though my car is 2006, but I guess the engine can also work for my 2006.

I am in a fix on what is a good buy for the 2006 vehicle. Kindly advise.

I am unable to locate where to check the transmission fluid level and conditions of this Camry 2012. PSF container is no where to be found as well.

Also for the two other pix, it strangely looks to me as if the serpentine belt is wound the wrong way at those places I highlighted. It's as if it ran behind, instead of upon that part I pointed to (no idea of the name).
