All your documents will be scanned and returned to you at the point of submission. You can pay for the priority if your application date is quite close to your resumption. I didn't purchase it but you can pay online when you choose the kinda application you want (standard, priority etc) or at the VAC-Those who have purchased this will have more info on that. christisam: |
There's no approval rate. It's not a lottery. If your information and documents check out, then there's no issue. legitimatefrank1: |
No problem @justwise. I understand. Just wanted him to know that the fact that it worked that way for him doesn't mean it would for others if the T4 rule concerning that is strictly adhered to. justwise: |
No. Only TLS tracking is available. Except you get a message from them. That's because GWF tracking is only available for applications submitted within the UK. Use the back tab at the top of the page where you got the 'reference not yet recognized' option till you get page where you'd see the applying outside the UK page which it leads you to. I also wondered why i got the unrecognized response too till I checked. I've attached screenshots for your info. You can also check my response to @Cumulus above. kayluv21:

Before now, you could check your application status using your GWF number on the UKVI website but that option has been removed. There's another site in beta testing stage but it only works for applications within the UK. For outside the UK, it gives info on how you can reach them via email and telephone. cumulus: |
It will be scanned and returned to you. Digital copies of all documents are now sent securely by TLS to UKVI. It's best for you to leave the cash you require in your account till you receive your visa. Do not touch what you need to show till you receive your visa. christisam: |
Still being processed. 7 working days now. Try to expect no text or email updates, only tracking via TLS website. It seems they either have issues with their messaging system or have stopped all message updates. The 3-5 day turnaround might not work cos of the high number of applications being processed. And if it works which it normally should, add 1-2 days to allow TLS update their system because it seems it takes a while for them to update. Ademuyiz: |
As long as your school accepted it and it's original you can use it. It will be scanned at the point of submission and returned to you. The scanned/electronic copy will be sent securely to UKVI. BiggySammy: |
depends on the volume of booked appointments but you can get available slots from the next day after submission. when i submitted mine, the next day up to about 30 days were available for me to pick from. Ademuyiz: |
The sponsor information is on your CAS only if it's sponsorship given by your school. External sponsorships do not appear on the CAS. christisam: |
I'm optimistic for you too. I'm awaiting your approval post*winks* Vicrown: |
Use your GTBank Naira MasterCard. limit has been increased to $1,000 or request a dollar card and load with dollar. note that Naira MasterCard is higher than black market rate. FCMB and Zenith too have increased their naira card limits to $1,000 Ebwese345678: |
Since you can use 2 accounts, you can put the £ in your domiciliary account if you have 1. The would save u the stress of changing. The following info is from the T4 guide. 217. Where evidence from two or more accounts is submitted, we will assess the funds available to you as being: the closing balance of one account, plus any additional money available to you on the date of that closing balance, for which you have provided the required evidence. 218. We will always use the closing balance date from the account that most favours you. Or you can ask your brothers to use the money to pay for outstanding balances on your tuition fee to you school and have your CAS updated. That way, the money in your acct will be sufficient for you application. lafad11: |
1. Let them send it to your account. Your parents are the only family that can sponsor you if the money isn't in your account. 2. The TB test centre is at 1 Isaac John street, GRA Ikeja. Note that it's at the junction of Isaac John street and Oduduwa way. It costs N47,500 for an adult(11 years and above) and N19,000 for children below 11years. You will need to book an appointment by mailing iomlagosmedicalbooking@iom.int or calling 234807 219 1112. After your booking has been confirmed, you'll need to pay at any standard chartered bank and take the teller +your passport to IOM office on your test date. Note that there's a different teller for IOM payments so ask for it when you get to the bank. IOM account number is : 0001847002 Account name: international organization for migration. I hope that helps. lafad11: |
Yes, you're right. I'm sure preparing for it. I pray it all works out well. I'll post updates when I have any information that might be useful. Question1: |
No offence meant @Justwise. That's meant for anyone who may have used the date they started their 28-day count and still got their visas approved as the ECOs who treated their files may have discarded the guide and used their discretion. It wasn't directed at you. justwise: |
While I'm not disputing what you said, I didn't ask him to top up every time. I only said that an extra equivalent of £1,000 in Naira should be put into the account before the 28 day count starts to avoid the balance dipping because of the difference in the exchange rate on the date of application. Either that or he pays more of his fees to the school without touching what is in the account if the 28 day count has started and his account balance might be negatively impacted. I have highlighted and attached the part of the T4 migrant guide that deals with that. My school also emphasized the same thing with the exception of when the account is a £ account. I know of someone that it affected. It's better safe than sorry. We all don't have the same experiences and I don't claim to know it all but at the end of the day, he could also use the date he started the 28 day count which is before the date of application if he has started counting, miracles do happen and favour does speak when all else fails. It also boils down to the use of the ECO's discretion. justwise:

No. I paid for the visa yesterday and I chose standard visa processing. Available interview dates were from today through to the 1st week of next month. Hopefully, when you're ready to apply the dates available will be close enough for you if you don't want to pay for priority visa. Question1: |
If you had taken your time to read through well, you'd have seen that what I typed wasn't different from what your school sent to you. My recommendation doesn't insulate the individual from anything, it is to avoid a case where the balance in the account falls below what is required due to exchange rate fluctuations. Even the T4 guide advises that. You put in what you require for the 28day period if you're using a Naira account and an extra of about the equivalent of £ 1,000 in Naira, such that any fluctuation will not have any negative effect on your balance through out the 28 day period. You can only submit your application online once the 28day rule is fulfilled. The day of your submission is regarded as the date of your application so it's the Oanda exchange rate for that day that will be used. Nchabuomo: |
For anyone who wants to pay using Naira MasterCard, GTBank has increased the limit on its Naira MasterCard to $1,000 so if you're just paying 1 year study visa fees(1 year programs) + IHS, you can use the GTBank Naira MasterCard. But note that the rates may be higher. I applied for, funded and used my $ card for payment but I noticed that the day I bought $ at black market rate of N367, GTBank was trading $ for N375 for online Naira MasterCard transactions ( the charge might be higher than what's advertised too). So make your choice wisely. Total I paid was $755.7 5 (£335 for 1 year T4 visa + £225 for IHS) using my dollar card. That's about £560. I just thought that you should all know Incase you need the information/options available. PS: My dollar card was ready for pick up in 3 days, activation took less than 10mins. Cost issuance plus maintenance cost was N7,344 or its equivalent in the currency of any of the account you want to be debited for. You need to have an existing domiciliary or current account to request a dollar card. you can request online via internet banking or physically at any of their branches. I don't know about other banks for now. |
That's not quite right. It's the Oanda rate for the day you submit your application after the 28day rule has been satisfied that will be used. So if you deposited the money by on July 1st and your 28 day is complete by July 29, if you submit your application+Pay your IHS and visa fees on July 30, it's the rate that applies on July 30 that will be used for your application, not the date of deposit. So just put a little extra of about maybe £1,000 so that any fluctuations will not affect what you should have in your account for the 28 days Nchabuomo: |
Go back and get the certificate replaced. If the mistake is from them, you might get it replaced free of charge but if not, you'd need to pay N8,400 for a new certificate. PS: Did they give you to check the accuracy of the details on the certificate before they stamped, sigbed and placed their hologram on it? They usually do this after you do your x-ray and see the doctor for your health history questioning. If they didn't do this, you have a valid reason for not paying for the renewal but if they gave it to you to verify before printing and you okayed it, you'll need to pay for the reissuance. Call them to let them know and hear what they have to say though. Vicrown: |
Yes. Only what is available on Oanda is used for UK visas. humblemoi: |
Wow! No time to waste time. Have a great time And hope you got your luggage back. Rutharu: |
The last form A transaction I did was at GTbank. Took a day after they received all the required docs: Bachelor's degree certificate, invoice or letter bearing the school logo confirming how much to be paid, filled form A, funded current account, authorization form, copy of passport. MrsF: |
You won't be asked if you have friends and family in the uk on the T4 application. You can also use the additional information part of the form to address previous issues/inconsistencies. @Justwise and all, can he put details of previous refusals in the additional information part of the form or just stick to the question that deals with visa refusal since the ECO can always look up previous application decisions? Answer to this should help @question1 with this Question1: |
Congrats Ruth...... Rutharu: |
Okay. Thank you so much. Do I need to let them(the school/staff at the IC) know I'm inputting their detail or just fill in? Pardon my many questions Biko.... justwise: |
Okay. Thank you. Sept 16. I'm submitting my application this week. Had to get an updated letter from my sponsor. Question1: |
Thank you. MrsDaniels: |
