Yea, I know. But don't let it knock you. If you have it, you will need it. If you had it in the past but don't have it anymore Because you lost it or something, just explain why you don't have it. It might delay your application but UKVI will source for it. See screenshot below. Teegirl101: I appreciate your response but the third answer knocks me to ....have u ever worked in the UK .... Justwise was helpful on that tho. thanks all the same

I submitted my application and did biometrics on the 10th of July alongside my children for dependant visa.Tier 4 visa. Called ukvi on the 2nd of August and was told it will be escalated. Sent a mail on the 21st and they replied saying an escalation was raised on the 7th of August. that I should give them 15 working days from the 7th. This morning I got a mail from tls that a decision has been made. I quickly checked the ukvi website to track which day the decision was made but to my surprise,it's still showing reference number not recognised. I am really worried, does it mean my application wasn't granted? How come it didn't reflect on their website that a decion has been made? Has anyone one found themselves in this situation before, what was the outcome of the visa? Somebody hellp me here please. |

You're right. That's why UKVI and IOM advise that an applicant confirms the current fee from them before payment is made. He'll be told the exact amount he has to pay when he books his appointment in case of changes. I'm not surprised at the fee review though; It's been 47,500 for so long, up till late July. Question1: Okay. Anyone is better depending on your location.
And please note the Fee for Tuberculosis is now #48,900 or something but certainly no longer #47,500 |

All the email means is to say that they can't meet their set timescale published in their service standards. It's nothing to worry about. It's normally due to doing further checks or awaiting the results of checks to come back. Each application differs from the other. It can also be as a result of the high volume of applications around the time you submitted. Hopefully you will hear back very soon Joycers: But, why will some people get the mail of delay and others didn't? |

Then you can submit your statement of result but ensure you include an explanation on why you're are using this instead of your certificate. ebrithil: Qualification Evidence
Bachelor of Engineering..(course) - school name
English evidence
None required
I used my statement of result to apply for the admission. |

I have my appointment for Monday 28 August and my sch is resuming September 20. I don't know if it is possible that it will be ready by then.

You can't blame La'Jibik. In as much as I kinda understand your point in your earlier post, the phrasing came across as being fraudulent. Anyone without prior knowledge of the T4 laws might not understand what you meant. No one says you can't use the money for fees or maintenance in the UK - That's the purpose of the funds in your account. You made it sound like it was okay to, let's say, 'borrow' money to fund the account for 28 days, then withdraw it and return to source since the 28 day goal has been achieved. Maybe you should be clearer when you post in future to prevent a case where people get the wrong information as per funds. In any case, the right thing to do would be to wait to have your visa before initiating any further fee payments, transferring the money in your account to the UK or withdrawing from it to purchase $/£ from the black market amongst other reasons. This would ensure that you aren't for any reason considered fraudulent if at any point, further checks are required on your finances. Aivinpac: Hi @ laajiblik I understand why u might think my info is flaud ryt but go check and read Tru the appendix C of the immigration rule and evaluate it critically.like I said earlier it says the money must be available in the manner specified n dat the funds will remain available in such manner unless used to pay for course fee n accommodation.now u saying it says it must be available for ones use while in the UK is ryt oo,but ask urself how it's gonna be available in the UK if u do not transfer it to the UK abi but go travel leave the money for naija furthermore "must have been held is in plain English meaning at some point u must have had d funds in ur account cos if that's not the case the rule wouldn't give the grace of using the statement at least up to a month or so after uv printed it out.i guess u need to revisit the rules u read and have a rationalistic approach bro before u accuse someone of misinformation.personally I av been asked if I had d money in an interview before by an ECO and I told I'm no cos I had sent the money abroad which is within the confines of the maintenance rules and I got my visa ooo.and who told u they ask if uv got money in d account sef when they inquire cos dey don't have d ryt aside confirming d genuity of what u submitted and ur other details.anyways I was jus trying to calm a fellow dude down cos he was tensed unnecessarily having said that we are entitled to our opinion. quoteaJiblikVEN TRYING TO HOODWINK FOLKS HERE BY SAYING THE RULES WERE WRITTEN IN THE PAST TENSE FORMAT.
YOU DECIDED TO IGNORE THE PART OF THE RULE WHICH SAYS THE MAINTENANCE MONEY MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR USE WHILE IN THE UK.
Please, my brother/sister: Stop propagating illegality and misinformation here.
Thank you.

If you're using a loan letter, expect that you might be asked questions on why you took out the loan and how you intend to pay it back during your interview or the ECO might call you to ask before a decision is made if your repayment explanation isn't clear. Also remember that the letter must capture your essential details such as your name, the date of the letter, the amount being released to you, the financial institution's name and logo etc Normally, educational loans will be fully disbursed to you after the receipt of your visa before you leave Nigeria (or upon your arrival in the uk) or your tuition is paid directly to your Tier 4 Sponsor with the living costs released to you on or before your arrival to the UK. See attachment for info. Aivinpac: @justwis,@mimilyrics and to all the guys here pls I'd like to know what u think about using a loan letter from the bank as evidence of funds for Tier4 student maintenance where all tuition fee has been payed already if it's acceptable or not ?cos the bnk said they need to see proof of visa before the loan can be released, further more if it's possible will the loan letter alone suffice or it needs to be attached with some other documents e.g affirmative letter from a local govt etc.

1. You don't need the passport photograph. Your picture will be taken when you register your biometrics. 4. Take only if it's stated on your CAS. 7. Introduction letter from who? 8. You don't need to submit a printout of your CAS but you'll be needing Your CAS number/info for your interview form. 11. Appointment letter not to be submitted, needed only for entry into the centre so keep it handy for entry. You can print out the rate for the day and include but the ECOs usually check Oanda for the rate when assessing applications incase of errors in what an applicant quoted CapitalCee: Hello guys, I am going for interview and biometrics tomorrow at the Abuja visa center. These are my documents I am going with.
1. Two passport photograph. 2. Statement of account printed on the 31st of July 2017. 3. International passport. 4. Weac result Original 5. Original degree Certificate. 6. IHS payment notifications email printout. 7. Introduction Letter. 8. CAS 9. Sign and dated Application form(9 pages) 10. Tuberculosis test certificate. 11. Visa appointment letter. 12. Academic transcript .
Please if there is any remaining documents please let me know so I can start running around from now. And please how can I indicate the oanda rate for the day I submitted my application.
Thanks. Mimilyrics, Justwise |

You're welcome. I know what you mean and I'm sure @JustWise knows it's not easy to cough out that much but it's not his job to be emphatic because he has to give you the info the way it is. It won't be okay for him to pad it with sweet words. The ECOs won't be emphatic at all and it's better to hear it here than from the ECO in another form. The ECOs or the British govt don't care where the money comes from or what stress you went through to get it but it has to be there. To them, it's either it's in the account and available for you to use or It's not. It's their country and their rules, not @Justwise's. hengabs: @justwise
So I get that you will need the maintenance once you travel...
But Haba! Not everyone is able to cough out almost 16-20k pounds- (sometimes more) at a go and keep for that long (tuition and maintenance)
Doesnt mean we do not deserve good quality education too?
Lets be more empathic here. How many people are able to afford their living expenses for a year from the first month? Deff not everyone. So its indeed quite difficult for some people, particularly self funding students.
Thanks for the feedback @mimilyrics @sleyflash @justwise |
