Those Harvard University students are ADULTS.

I work with children and adolescents with learning disabilities, holiday lessons is not an effective intervention.

I never attended any lessons during holidays both in primary and secondary level............I played outdoors to my heart's content (reason decades later, my dissertation was focused children outdoor play ), travelled to places and also learnt pottery after finishing my "Junior WAEC" during the almost 3 months of holidays.

Tens of millions of Nigerians are nor even seeing up to that N30K monthly.

I don't support the idea of taking him back to nursery 2, the boy can be in primary 1 and with good follow up he picks up,he doesn't need to repeat to improve what he needs is good guidance,this days education in by age. Anybody that tells you no need to rush is making a mistake because there is age limit in almost everything after University education.

Let him go to basic 1 and do well to give him time and sound follow up and see him do well.

He has to repeat Nursery 2 because he is yet to understand the content taught in Nursery 2.

I will be the first to admit that Aba is living below its potential.

But when you compare Aba to so many other Nigerian cities, the difference is very clear.

I still don’t understand the level of hate that city received on nairaland even though, it still looked better than so many other Nigerian cities.

A city may have bad roads in highly trafficked areas but those areas don’t define the whole city.

Career counselling is not taken seriously in our secondary schools as truly there are many presently in polytechnics and universities, studying courses they have no business doing and would not take them anywhere after school.

I also observed that many who came to the UK for their Masters wasted money studying courses that have not improved their chances of getting jobs that had good pay and career prospects after graduation. I wonder how someone would pay £18,000 for a Masters program and after it still pay someone £10,000 to get certificate of sponsorship for care jobs!

They should get him admitted into a mental health facility.
