You guys should put many factors together before judging this, if a man leaves all he's doing and stays in that hospital, who will hussle for money and fend for the wife and kids? Abi make he stop work and start begging
Considering scenario that many Nigerian women don't work, why won't they be free?
If your wife is working and such happens, will you ever ask her to stop working and start staying in the hospital with you
If she stops, who will pay the bills while you're bedridden
These things are peculiar, stop being overly judgemental on it!
If I am working, I wont be there with her instead I will hire a care-giver and visit her everyday while we communicate closely on the phone, same thing with her, let her not come and stay with me, she can hire someone and go her daily work while we communicate.
Except if either of us doesn't work, then there's no need to hire any care-giver!!

Bottom line: Someone must pay the bills, we can't all fold our hands and be in the hospital and maybe depend on "Abeg" from relations.

This woke generation reasons unreasonably!!
I believe you read "visiting hours" not "staying" in the hospital.

How do you explain week in, week out a husband who is in the same state with the admitted wife, not showing up?

Men, this is why you do NOT marry an uneducated and unqualified liability.

He provided for her all his able days till he suffered an unfortunate accident. The moment he could no longer provide, he became dispensable in the eyes of his mother-in-law and wife.

“Easily re-marry” lol! Good luck finding any man who will take you and your 4 spawns. Send her abroad to go do what exactly? What skills has she got to survive there? How would she explain leaving her 4 kids with her disabled husband to the embassy?

There's too many stupid people on this forum, it's unbelievable.
Your post reflected stupidity!

if she chooses to fill single in her visa application, who would query her?

Hope you know it's men that take responsibility of the house, if woman in ward and men sit with her all day,

How will family move on?
Not "sit with her all day" or do you think such facility is where people can just walk in whenever they want to visit patients and stay as much they want? shocked shocked shocked shocked

Even for only just one weekly visit, that is just one hour duration......men are too busy "taking responsibility of the house".

Why is it even a difficult decision to make, in the first place?

The N200k monthly salary for the IT job, is not even up to £200!

Who funds the hospital bill? I don't think any serious man with a job and bills to pay will sit down with his spouse in the hospital in the name of love or care. If men can do both, then that's very perfect. But how many men can afford the luxury of time and money? One has to give way.
It is not as if majority of those men admitted have health insurance covering the bills or have funds sitting pretty in their accounts, wife has to combine visitations with running around to raise funds for the hospital bills and taking care of their children.

No man abroad will marry a lady with 4 kids. Do you know how expensive it is to take care of kids abroad? Do you know that woman can't work because of the kids?
Going by the story, the children will remain in Nigerian while she relocates alone. It is clear the mother never supported the marriage, instead of her daughter to focus on furthering her education she was busy being pregnant and nursing babies for the past 8 years of her life (if they were single births).

I see male and female as humans first. The empathy i advocate is for humans in general.
When dealing with another human, first ask yourself if you would like what you are doing to another person to be done to you. If you are comfortable with your actions then by all means continue.

Most men not some men.90% of men will return her to her father's house and be visiting and sending money.
You are right.

If you visit psychiatric hospitals in Nigeria and go to the male wards, you are more likely to see married women during visiting hours with their admitted husbands but go to the female wards, very insignificant number of men visit their wives who have been admitted there. For most men, getting the wife admitted is the best they can do and visit few times and disappear from the scene, abandoning her to her birth family to take care of.

Terrorists and bandits, don't "repent" and they have to be eliminated.

Just like the Maasai tribe, they must kill the lion that attack their cows because they believe if other lions see that particular lion went scot free, they would be gingered to attack their cows...reason lions dey fear Maasais.😆😆😆😆

The number 4 "You must learn how to argue with a bus conductor, when he tries cheating you. And please whenever you do. Please don't use Standard English. You must have had a good knowledge of Pidgin before you come to Lagos. If not I can teach you".

I am very fluent in Yoruba and Pidgin English but even the last time I was in a bus years ago, I maintained my "Standard English" despite the threats by the bus conductor that he would not give me my N400 change, that I committed a crime by giving him N500. He was ranting in a mix of Yoruba and Pidgin English and I maintained a fixed gaze on him as I do psychiatric patients without responding to his rants, his rants began to weaken and the bus became quiet, I told the driver in a low tone I was dropping off at the next bus stop and the driver told the conductor to please give me my change and he meekly did so.

If you think you are crazy, I spent millions of naira and years in schools to learn how to deal with crazy people.

I have been to mortuaries to check that corpses of relatives have been well preserved and also going there with caskets to collect for burial, the corpses were checked again before being dressed up and put in the caskets......so if there were proper checks, mixing up of bodies would not come up.
