There is nothing like fight here. Igbo are tyr one jealous of Yoruba achievements.

They need Yoruba to survive but Yoruba don't need them.

I'm from Akwa ibom, I studied the both people. The different is clear.

Yoruba can have a country of their own with the 6 states and survive.

But if Igbo go with 5 state, they would be worse than Burundi.
Israel a country is 22,145 km², the combined sized of the 5 South Eastern states is 29,525 km² ................In what area of human capital development is Nigeria better off than Israel?

A lot of threads are being created on this forum encouraging a group of people or tribe to pick up arms and distabilize our beloved country.

This group of people are so delighted in what is happening in Niger (a Muslim country) despite not liking Islam.

In the last election it was a religious war because of their hatred for Islam but they suddenly became concerned and interested in what is happening in Niger (a muslim country).

We started hearing things like YORUBA CHRISTIAN, YORUBA MUSLIM which do not even exist in the southwest dictionary. The Southwest people are not fanatics when it comes to religion.

To this group of people planning to cause chaos in our dear country, listen well

Ajeku Iya Round 2 is loading for you guys. This time you would be dealt with more severely than you were in 1967.

FG did not make anything a priority, the focus was shifted on the FG by media because his Excellency is the Chairman of ECOWAS which all eyes are on him. That did not distract the FG from facing their primary duty which is Nigeria
There were coups in Burkina Faso and Mali but they were less talk and focus by the FG, it reflected on Nigerians.

Nowhere in the north had a cutoff score of more than 200 out of 400. Their cutoffs where routinely below 170. Bendel, Anambra and Imo states vied against each other for highest cutoff in the country with every administration. I'm not too sure about that 600 cutoff though, when I took mine, it was cutoff 400, but after two administrations, the ceiling, if I recall correctly, was changed to 700 and not 600.
1989, I am 100% certain was 600.
Health › Re: How To Migrate And Work In The US & Canada As A Doctor Or Pharmacist by Mindlog: 9:10pm On Aug 01, 2023
States should be smart enough to set up medical universities to train the best of their indigenes at subsidized cost, with the aim of exporting their skills after graduation as they would be bound by contract that makes the state government be involved in their foreign recruitment, which the foreign agencies recruiting them must pay a certain amount in foreign currencies for each doctor, nurse, radiographer etc being recruited and when those health professionals relocate, they would be remitting a certain amount monthly to the state coffers for at least 3 years which would be used to train other batches of students.

The former President of Kenya, went to the UK and negotiated with UK government to supply them with Kenyan trained nurses and monthly, the Kenyan government would be getting a cut from their salaries paid in pounds.

Focusmind:
You just summarised the dedication and commitment some of our parents showed in the 80's and early 90's about their children. I did my own FGC common entrance in 1990 and was admitted to FGC Maiduguri because I didn't meet the Anambra State cut off for both Kings College, Lagos and FGC Enugu, which were my first and second choice, respectively.
My Dad was moving up and down from Anambra to Borno state for change of school for me and to get letter of release from FGC Maiduguri. Luckily, I later sat and passed the entrance exam of one of the most prestigious Catholic school in Nigeria. That was how I skipped FGC Maiduguri and went to Catholic school.
Yes, our parents really did try their best. The painful thing was that my sister passed both the common entrance exam and the subsequent interview but was given FGC Sokoto. My parents really tried to even get some where near, FGC Odogbolu (Ogun state) but it didn't work out.

My sister, now a Rev.Sr. and a consultant psychologist keep saying she was depressed throughout secondary school because she didn't make it to FGC despite her brilliancy and it got worsen, whenever our neighbour's daughter came back home from Queens College on mid term breaks and end of term holidays. It was at that tender age, she realized the injustice called quota system and harboured that anger until she spoke about the repressed anger, when she went for personal therapy during her doctorate program.

What was the cut off mark of Adamawa?
Alusiizizi:
This Abbo guy looks to be in his late forties/early fifties. Is there anyone on this thread that still remembers common entrance in the 1980's as well as the notorious quota system? I'll give you a short summary:

SouthEast region and Bendel(present day Esan territory of Edo state) cutoff: 320~340 out of 400.

Benin state and virtually all southwest states as well as middle belt cutoff: ~250 out of 400.

Virtually all Northern region(The minister candidates in questions' region): less than ~120 out of 400.

I still remember many boys from the northern regions that even secured scholarships to unity schools after scoring ~70 out of 400.

So, what "brilliance" is this ministerial candidate referring to?
Actually in 1989, it was out of 600 because my eldest sister sat for it and scored 534 and our state, (Imo state) cut off mark that year was 523 and highest in Nigeria, while the old Gongola state was less than 200 as we had a neighbour who was from Mubi (Gongola state) whose daughter scored less than 200 and made it to Queens College Lagos while my eldest sister didn't get FGC Ijanikin that was her first choice nor FGC Okigwe that was her second choice but was compensated with Federal Government College, Sokoto ! Imagine sending a 12 year old from Lagos to Sokoto by road way back in 1990......my parents did waka to them and got my sister enrolled in a day secondary school in Lagos.

Impressive, spelling is a mental exercise that very important in a child's brain development as it strengthens their capacity to easily read and write. Parents should always encourage their young ones to engage in spellings at home.

Yes, he got better (there is no cure for it) as it was being well managed with a mix of psychotropic medication and psychotherapy but he never returned back to the UK as UK weather was one of his triggering factors, the sunlight there was not enough for him.

Nothing alarming, even till now there are more Catholics in the UK than the Muslims, not to talk of other Christians of different denominations.
