OP, it is high time your elder brother move out of your family house and get his own place, so "the girl" would be less in your faces and let them build their relationship as they deem fit and less monitoring spirits that keeps a log book on how "the girl" behaves.

Certainly, for the sake of one's long term mental wellbeing there are some families one should neither marry into nor marry from.

Your best friend always beating his wife and you not being violent, how do you think that when you have issues with your wife this friend of yours will advise you not to beat your wife as he does his?

She may be feeling you have become desensitized towards a man beating up his wife.
If she has moved on, also do while hoping you would meet a lady who would not feel scared by how your best friend beats his wife.

Children will always play outside and explore the environment and yours I must say is not a healthy place to raise your child, make effort to relocate as it will be way cheaper than visiting a child psychiatrist in the future.

Must you be prominent to give? Do you expect everyone to have cameras and publicists with them when they go giving?

The moral of the Good Samaritan is that everyone, even those normally considered an "enemy"is your neighbour. Compassion should be a manifestation of love and not letting the recipients feel demeaned.

I am a Christian but the consultant psychiatrist I work with is a Muslim woman and one of the most beautiful souls I have been blessed with in my life as a professional and as a person. It is way beyond the psychiatrist, as treatment should multidisciplinary because alcoholism is a disease and biopsychosocial in nature, so treatment must also be biopsychosocial as it involves the psychiatrist, the mental health nurse, the psychologist, the occupational therapist, a spiritual/religious leader and the family of the alcoholic.
