4. Why didn't they build emergency hospitals like the West, they only copied the lock down part but failed to build hospitals or equip the existing dying hospitals.
5. Why did they blindly copy the WEST's lock down but refused to provide for the citizens of Nigeria?
6. What happened to the monies donated by the EU/WHO/UN/IMF? Whose bank accounts did the loot end up in?

Hmmm. Don't forget many of our hospitals have patients with other equally serious health challenges which they are battling with which resources, facilities and space are not meeting up with demand. I don't know if there has been a time you attended the general hospitals as a patient?

This lockdown is giving me cold feet. It reminds me of the Marseille plague of 1720, where more people died after quarantine was lifted to help the economy, more than half of the population died and noone cared about the economy with bodies lying everywhere.

The swap will most likely have come from the customs warehouses guards , operators or the truck drivers/ points of distribution e.t.c ..... there are just so many suspects because nigerians are so corrupt especially on the moral aspects. I still recall arguing about how Nigerian health workers are being stretched beyond limit days back.
Welfare and safety/protection of our health workers is a reflection of how prepared and determined we are at dealing with pandemics such as this.

How I wish such can be used for the ordinary Nigerians that might need them if it comes true.
Such might just end up being reserved for the high and mighty.

One who has visited public hospitals can tell.
I guess in their mind, our doctors who travelled out and are practicing in other countries under reasonably better conditions are guilty of violating their oaths.

I want to believe you have a day job you do. I want to assume you do that job in hope of getting a better life for yourself and family. Now what exactly is your point. Ordinary life insurance we don't have for our health workers. Even health insurance is not a given for them. Yet we have some people who push files around in NNPC, FIRS etc who earn handsomely. Think na.

Typical Nigerians don't reason that way. They don't want to acknowledge the fact that the system is dysfunctional. Health workers are expected to lay down their lives to make up for the mess that their leaders foisted on the nation. They don't even know that health workers need to stay alive just like everyone else.

When the thing is getting started?
I pity our situation if we should somehow get to that real full blown state of mass deaths from Covid-19. I wonder how our leaders deserve all praise and worship constantly being showered on them by our sychophantic apologists who lack the courage to speak the truth. They are quick to forget if we go down the deadly path, we are all going down together. Rather baffling that occasions like this like real leaders use them as opportunity to display their ability to deal with situations, but ours use them as opportunities to further loot and to clear every doubt every doubt how clueless they are.
Anyone who really knows how Nigeria is run knows loyalty and patriotism are alien to our system. Those at frontline are always left to do their job with maximum risk and least protection possible, yet we claim we are serious.

A smart solution is to open up the economy while enforcing needed restrictions like continuing the ban on large gatherings like parties, churches, mosques, etc. Step up testings, enforce use of facemasks and hand gloves, disinfect public places, etc.
