RomanceRe: Must You Eat Or Drink On A First Date? by MissEZ(f): 3:50pm On Nov 14, 2011
@ tellwisdom

understood, but just cos some ladies feel that way does not mean that all ladies are the same. Naija men and women are guilty of various vices and silly actions, but that doesnt mean that the all nigerian men and women are cut from the same cloth.

Besides if a guy decides to take a woman to a restaurant for their first date, did you guys go to look at the table cloth or fancy dish ware? If you dont want her to eat, be creative and take her elsewhere. lol, some guys contribute to the problem you know.
RomanceRe: Must You Eat Or Drink On A First Date? by MissEZ(f): 3:36pm On Nov 14, 2011
It is sad to see that Naija guys will never ever have anything good to say about naija babes.
RomanceRe: Can U Forgive And Accept A Cheating Partner Back? by MissEZ(f): 3:59pm On Nov 09, 2011
Forgive? Yes! Accept back? NOOO

From experience, it was easier for me to forgive him, but accepting him back was hard. i tried to, but the distrust and suspicion that he will do it again nearly drove me crazy, so i freed the guy. After we broke up, i got to discover just how ignorant i was of how much of a cheat he was. We are still friends so forgiveness is not the issue, i just cannot do the acceptance part. If a man wants to cheat, thats his business as long as he is not my man.

I honestly cannot stand men that cheat, or even women sef. Its such an irresponsible behavior and it shows that the person has no value for his/her self. If that is the case, how can they now value their partner?
FamilyRe: by MissEZ(f): 9:12pm On Nov 08, 2011
I dont think that anyone has proof to show that men in diaspora cheat less than men at home. A cheat is a cheat regardless of location, wherever there is an opportunity, a cheat will use it. This applies to more than just women.
TV/MoviesRe: Nollywood Actor, Chinedu Nwani Dies In A Ghastly Accident by MissEZ(f): 3:29pm On Nov 05, 2011
RIP. In naija, everything is jazz. Isnt it possible that the road was bad, or that there were reckless drivers on the road, Not saying this supernatural stuff does not exist, but in naija, it is the cause of everything bad, SMH
EducationRe: Church Universities Are The Most Expensive In Nigeria by MissEZ(f): 2:57pm On Oct 31, 2011
ok now i see what ur mad about. Specifically convenant university. I agree to a certain degree with what your saying, especially with the extravagant lifestyle of the pastors. You know i cannot speak to that issue and that is something that i think those pastors need to address by themselves. But just because that happens to be the case at a few of them, its unfair to generalize. Anywho, i still think that education wise, they are a few that are doing very well, and contrary to what some other poster said, the hardworking ones do get admitted into top tier schools here. Same way someone who works hard in a federal system will get admitted. In life you make the best of opportunities that come your way. Skyope i must say that your one of the few nairalanders that doesnt result to insult when conversing. Good for you
EducationRe: Church Universities Are The Most Expensive In Nigeria by MissEZ(f): 2:17pm On Oct 31, 2011
@ Ima Ima, o agree with what your saying in that adults should be treated as such. But they tell you right from the get go that if you cannot abide by their rules, then dont come.

I also think that it takes a certain level of maturity to be able to exercise self restraint and play by the rules. Its only for a short period of time, and they get a good education. By the way, as far as i know Babcock never suspended people for hugging, but they did suspend people for going a lot farther, lol, The rules can be strict and annoying, but if i need to bear an unpleasant situation for a short time to get something good, i think its well worth it.

Nigerian students especially need to act more responsible and set their priorities straight while in school. But this is a whole new different gist, lol, make i no derail thread
EducationRe: Church Universities Are The Most Expensive In Nigeria by MissEZ(f): 2:12pm On Oct 31, 2011
@ Skyope, sorry i missed that, typing on the go. I can see the smug smile on your face, lol, anyways yep the standard of learning is definitely different. I guess my follow up question to that will be when was the last time the standard of learning between Nigeria and US/UK based Universities could be compared? I think that for the short time these Universities have been around, we may be demanding too much from them in terms of competing with Universities that have been around for as much as 20 -100 years. smiley
EducationRe: Church Universities Are The Most Expensive In Nigeria by MissEZ(f): 1:48pm On Oct 31, 2011
@ Guerilla; i think that the rankings should not be compared because some of the Universities you are mentioning in the EU have been there for years while the oldest privat University is about 11-15 years old. I think that they can do alot in that number of years and i am not making excuses for them, but when comparing things, they should be commensurable, dont you think?

@ Skyope. the standard of living is different in the Universities the same way the standard of living is different in the countries as well. If you add the cost of living to the Universities abroad, then you are bringing a whole new issue cos the price shoots up.

I teach in a private University here in the US, its a very reputable University in this part and to be honest, for the standards obtained here, i hear students complain about their dorms life and how things dont work. I cannot confirm this as i do not live in the dorms.

Once again i agree that the price for these Private Universities are a bit much, but private tuition has always been more expensive, why are we so surprised?
EducationRe: Church Universities Are The Most Expensive In Nigeria by MissEZ(f): 1:21pm On Oct 31, 2011
@ Ima Ima you make it sound like people who go to private Universities are puppets, lol,
@ Skyope, Its not about justifying the cost, its simply stating what is, if you go the US, most private Universities are equally expensive, even more than ivy leagues sef, As for the other things mentioned about pastors, that is for a whole new different thread.

Lets be objective in our criticism. I agree that since most of the Universities are church funded, members should be able to afford it. In babcock, adventist students paid alot less than we non adventist members. The also had work study for anyone who wanted to do it as a means for paying part of your fees. Some other private Universities offer some kind of scholarship for their members. I think they can do better in this regard, but that does not make them in effective education wise.
TravelRe: It Is Easier To Live In Nigeria Without A Job Than In The Uk. Share Your Views by MissEZ(f): 1:14pm On Oct 31, 2011
@Monkey leg, I stay in the US and cannot speak for the UK.

But in truth, how many people get that treatment even though they are there legally? And from what i read, the reception towards foreigners is changing. I had a friend who swore she would never go back to naija once she left. She has been there for 5 years, did a masters and all. She ended up working care jobs and even with that when her visa expired, she appealed several times, Nothing. Now she has no choice but to move home or risk being deported. She is busy hounding our friends that she looked down on while things were good for her, to help look for a job. Where was the whole welfare plan when she was going through all her issues? And she is there legally.

Granted this is not the plight of everyone is jand, but the attitude towards foreigners is changing. I dont know enough about jand sha, so make i no talk pass my mouth. But here in the US, if you lose your job and you dont have any family, you are screwed.
EducationRe: Church Universities Are The Most Expensive In Nigeria by MissEZ(f): 1:06pm On Oct 31, 2011
I think its funny how some people are quick to run down private universities. I agree it is expensive, but at the end of the day, you come out with a good degree. I attended babcock university in 2001 and i can say for a fact that even though i hated the social life aspect of the school, i got a good degree. Not only have i been able to get a masters abroad after that, i am also getting a Ph.D at the moment in one of the top tier Universities in the US.

Complain about the price if you will, but do not state categorically that all of them are sub par cos that is simply not true. there are a few bad ones, agreed, but some are doing good. Oh and by the way, not everyone who goes there comes from a rich family. I am not from one, i worked hard and graduated with a 2.1, and also got a full scholarship for my studies abroad. But in order to make it, you have to pay a certain price. If your priority is clubbing and partying at the expense of your studies, then do not complain if you have a shitty grade at the end of your school year. Balance is key
TravelRe: It Is Easier To Live In Nigeria Without A Job Than In The Uk. Share Your Views by MissEZ(f): 11:52am On Oct 31, 2011
It is way easier to live in Naija without a job than the UK or yankee. Even people wey get job in some of those places, na God de help us o. Depending on what you do for work, the grass isnt always greener outside the country. It all depends on what you studied and if it is a viable field in these countries. The sciences and business areas earn a lot more than liberal arts (except you are into acting and music, and even that is a game of luck).
RomanceRe: My Boss Want Me To Do Him: And Am Not Gay. by MissEZ(f): 11:01pm On Oct 24, 2011
@ poster, i think it is interesting that you are considering sleeping with the guy. Are u gay? if not how do you think you can go through with this? How many times and for how long do you think you can keep sleeping with the guy if you are not gay or bisexual? You need to talk to your fiancee about this, it is even easier cos this is a man that is pestering you. Start looking for another job too.

Good luck
RomanceRe: How Much Monthly Salary Is Required To Establish A Relationship? by MissEZ(f): 9:24am On Oct 24, 2011
You do not need money to start a relationship. To be honest, me i am shocked at the way Nigerians engage relationships o. I dont know where we picked this stupid materialist view from. If you love someone approach the person. Any babe wey de follow u because u get money get k-leg o. I am not saying money is not important, but in an ideal situation, it shouldnt drive things like romantic relationships.
Foreign AffairsRe: Condolence Register For Ghadaffi : by MissEZ(f): 8:56am On Oct 24, 2011
I think its funny how we liked to think that we knew Gadhaffi, and that his actions towards his people were good. Methinks that there was a reason his people wanted him out, i dont pretend to know why, or to even think that i understand his 42 years of rulership in Libya.

Even though its been stated that he provided for his people in several ways, i dont know that i will be comfortable with someone giving me money while denying me some basic fundamental human rights like my right to speak freely. As much as he is being touted as trying to unite Africa, his intentions were out of greed, how do you advocate a united states of Africa and declare yourself king of kings of Africa? Ehm methinks the guy was power drunk. Towards the end, i think he should have honorably stepped down once his people began to agitate. His use of brute force on them and even his speeches were not the actions of a sane person. He stated that he would rather die than give over power, well we can argue that he got his wish. Those who live by the sword, die by the sword. Gadhaffi's death was gruesome because that was the same justice he meted out to his people when they requested that he leave power. Like i said, i do not know enough to yarn many, but from the little i saw of this man from the beginning of the revolution in Libya 6 months ago till date, he does not seem like someone i will like.

A human being has died in a gruesome manner, for that i feel sorry. But i can also argue that he probably did worse to others, so maybe he got what he deserved. In any case his story is a lesson to every man  to live wisely. You may be able to gather wealth and hold power for a time, but death is inevitable.
FashionRe: Would You Rather Rent Your Wedding Dress/Suit? by MissEZ(f): 8:48am On Oct 24, 2011
For sure, its one day in my life. Will rather rent the thing and be done with once its over. I dont mind renting an expensive dress if i like it, i just dont want to have to deal with the thing when i am done.
RomanceRe: Your Boyfriend Is Not Your Atm by MissEZ(f): 7:08am On Oct 24, 2011
am i the only one who thinks its weird that ladies are saying they need to ask for money cos they are sleeping with a guy. Kai, it makes ladies bad o. So cos your sleeping with someone, he must spend money? Sounds like ashi-ism to me o. If you are going to sleep with your bf, do so cos u want to get laid, or cos u love him or whatever reason, but dont do so cos u want money. That kind of behaviors is meant for ashi's now.  just my two cents.
RomanceRe: Your Boyfriend Is Not Your Atm by MissEZ(f): 6:10pm On Oct 23, 2011
agreed, ladies your man is not your atm, make your own money. Men you are not atm for ladies, but at the same time, dont be osama bin stingy.

But seriously guys, when you date 2 kobo chicks, what do u expect?

I would neva ask a guy for money or ask him to buy me stuff, but i also appreciate a man who thinks of me and shows it, even if it means writing me a simple note, or buying a card,  2 naira sweet or 5 naira biscuit. Its the little inexpensive things that count in life.

Spending in a relationship is a two way street
RomanceRe: Your Previous Relationship: Why Did You Break Up? by MissEZ(f): 5:24pm On Oct 23, 2011
Its always interesting to see how NL boys are quick to run down chicks, they forget that guys too get their own issue. Anyways mine is simple. We dated for 3 years, he was a cheat, so i freed the guy.

@ Toba, i think coogar was using you to catch trips which i think in unfair especially since this was something that hurt you, but you didnt seem to mind so wetin be my own. But i really do hope things work out for you this time
FoodRe: Nigerian Vegetarians i.e. Vegetarians In Nigeria by MissEZ(f): 9:24pm On Oct 19, 2011
Adventists tend to lean towards being vegetarians. For instance, i went to Babcock University and they served vegetarian meals only. Although we heard that a few people ate meat in their homes, lol, see ojoro.

PhonesRe: What Is A Blackberry Without BBM? by MissEZ(f): 4:50pm On Oct 13, 2011
The BB was originally targeted at Business people and i think that they are the ones who will find a use for BB whether BBM works or not.

It really beats my imagination how BB became a mainstream device meant for chatting in naija. People spend so much money on the thing just to chat? WOW!!! naija i hail thee o.

I never buy a technological gadget except i have use for the features. I think that letting material things determine our social status is one of naija's biggest problems and also speaks to the values we have as people.
PhonesRe: What Is A Blackberry Without BBM? by MissEZ(f): 1:47pm On Oct 13, 2011
without BBM, the BB is just a fruit. I think naija overhyped that device, but hey, thats just me. Not saying it isnt useful, but in naija its more of a status thing.
CrimeRe: Absu Gang violation: Victim Agreed To Be violated – Police by MissEZ(f): 3:41am On Oct 08, 2011
Haba guy, seriously cant you hear the girl protesting through out the video. haba guy, get small conscience, Will you come out and agree that it was you in this video if it was you, haba,  all the guys keep talking about is that they have their own car. In any case is this how men should behave?

I still maintain that even if there was some form of consent, that babe did not agree for 5 men to sleep with her, and its violation because she asked them to stop several times. "No" means i do not consent.

Infact this whole thing de vex me
CrimeRe: Absu Gang violation: Victim Agreed To Be violated – Police by MissEZ(f): 3:28am On Oct 08, 2011
@ arsenefc and Prince, your comments make me really sad. Haba think this issue well o, I am not saying there arent nymphos out there, i highly doubt this is the case here.

If there is consent, it cannot be called rape, someone needs to educate the foolish man. I doubt this girl agreed to sleep with 5 men in an hour. Even if there was consent, it was probably for one person. For 5 guys to just decide to sleep with one girl, haba have mercy now,

O wow, This really makes me sad, How can anyone justify this. The guys who did this are animals and very depraved.what makes me sad is these guys will marry someone someday and become fathers. Very perverted psychos. How can a decent man wait in line and sleep with a girl after 4 other men.Haba, shey babes don finish for this world, kai kai kai, this thing is paining me.

Its funny how people are trying to make excuses for the guys, this is just not fair plain and simple. May the evil that these guys have done catch up with them soon
Christianity EtcRe: Tempted To Assist A Family With God's Money (Tithe) by MissEZ(f): 11:05pm On Oct 02, 2011
One of the ways you can Tithe is to help someone in need. God says that we should look after our brothers and sisters in christ. I think that God would be happy if you gave that money to the family in need. My mum does this all the time. Sometimes she gives all, sometimes she give a part of it and then give the remaining in church.

I think that this is a good move and something more christians should do

FamilyRe: Can Abortion Ever Be Justified? by MissEZ(f): 8:36pm On Sep 21, 2011
I think that if a lady is violated and get pregnant, i think that an abortion is permitted on the grounds of trauma. violation is not beans o.

On the flipside, i think coogar is being dramatic about an armed robber giving birth to an armed robber. That is not true. Nature vs nurture proves that. I know people who come from good homes who suck majorly and others who come from messed up homes that do very well.

All in all, except the womans life is at stake or in extreme cases such as violation, abortion is not something i support
