1. Make them pay back the cost of their training, scholarships and grants before leaving.

2. To avoid stealing our skilled and trained professionals, put a poisoned pill in their training. Mostly local contents to make them useful at home instead foreign countries.

How many foreign countries want Asian barefoot doctors or African Traditional trained doctors.
Let me add more fuel to the fire in your head.
Junior doctors can have a takehome of 4800 pounds after tax o.
How does that sound to you?
Jealousy and wickedness will not kill you o. It is not anybody's fault you did not study medicine. it is also not too late. that is if you can even pass medical school. Tueh

Since Buhari is your problem!
Buhari was trained with federal money and he has been serving the federal government meritoriously since time immemorial. He started as federal military officer. During the service years he occupied different positions. He even fought in the civil war that ensured this country remained one today. He didn't run away to another country after being trained by the federal government because of money. As human being,
he was not flawless in the course of discharging his duties, but no one can accuse him that he at a point in time abandoned the country after being trained with the federal money .
Even at retirement he continues to present him self to the services of the country because he sees it paramount to give back to the country what the country gave him, his philosophy.
To say that he embezzled, remains the figment of your own imagination.
We shall see who embezzled and who didnt. shey he is also the petroleum minister. the same cruise Abacha ran. We shall see.

Fantastic Thread. Let's keep it going.

May I suggest the requirement for students pictures be waived. They are all minors and should not be on the internet without their parents say so.

The ID card and appointment letter should suffice.

I think it is beyond public funds. We mismanage everything, private, corporate and of course public funds.
It is as if once we see money we run mad. Many of us who condemn others tend to do worse when the opportunity arises. I think some sociology PhD students should study the black race all over the world.
There seems to a recurring decimal which ultimately makes the world disrespect us. Although we always blame our leaders here, what can be the excuse of the blacks who have spent hundreds of years in the developed world without any influence their brothers back home.
And of course this is all due to a protein called melanin. It's not due to a lack of oversight and checks at all.
Did you hear what happened to the 2 trillion dollars released in the US? What happened to it because of no oversight? Were they black as well?
Your melanin doesnt make you superior to anyone else. It doesn't also make you inherently inferior. it's what it is. A protein

The painful thing even is that these doctors were trained with Nigerian resources.
I remembered my undergraduate days we used to collect 'government scholarship'. Medical and Law students were paid higher amounts. Assume others are paid 10k, students of these two dept would receive 50k.
Everybody who went to a federal university was trained with state funds. Buhari has been receiving a salary since his first year in the university. That hasnt stopped him from embezzlement.

I am a bit surprised at you to be honest. A very wise person once said the more I learn ,the more I realise I know nothing.

Stand down please. Everyone is working from home.Websites are not getting updated as frequently. Not everything can be found on the internet anymore. I have it on good authority that the travel documents were perfectly in order. 56 of them had visa waivers. 2 had valid visas.

Learn to leave room for dissenting opinions. Even Priti Patel the home secretary wont argue the way you are arguing here

I can see that you are not well trained at home and in school.

What you are reaping is what those that trained you created. They think they were spiteful, especially to the poor and those that are unconnected to get their children into medical schools.

Now, look at their product, You! Asking question the way you were brought up. I can imagine how you talk to patients.

Educated illiterate who thinks he can get into Britain with the chartered plane of an Agent of Death. Many of them advertise for gullible dummies like you.

Once you get to your destination in Libya, they will ask which of you have more experienced in butchering. They will take out all the organs they need. No need for outside doctors.

Chartered Plane eh?
Mein gott. Such bitterness. I m so sorry, maam. But the truth is that you cannot stop these doctors from leaving. They have passed their uk qualifying exams, they are fully UK Licensed. They also have all gotten UK jobs. Their employers values them so highly that they have hired a private jet for them. No amount of witchcraft can stop them.

If you had a chance, you would jump at the opportunity. I m sure. Absolutely hilarious .

Lol! nooooo...tueh. they should go o. they come back fully trained and remit millions every year. They should let them go and develop themselves. Just like in marriage,if you dont appreciate your wife, somebody will appreciate her for you. Ask Will Smith how far.

The UK wanted them so badly that they sent a private jet for them.
I am not trying to bash immigration in anyway. Everyone knows Nigerian immigration is on the side of the Angel's and have never done anything bad ever. We also know that they fully understand the portion of the constitution they quoted to justify their witchcraft and bad belle

Hope he is selling approved standard drugs in that village and doesn't involve in unethical medical practices? Just checking. [q1uote author=arduino post=91567310]
One of my parents tenants from Ebony state hit a goldmine selling simple pharmaceutical drugs in my very remote village which is about 65km from Ekwulobia. The guy drives high end vehicles and has bought and is still buying lands and properties from families willing to sell to him.
His annual rent is just N50,000 for modern standard 3-Bedroom apartment.
NB: He came to my village just two years ago and started a small chemist shop.
You know,I was worried about this. I hope he has scruples and not harming the people in anyway. It's terrible what people can do for money

Maybe you all need to pay the rates your mates are paying all over the world so your trainers in LUTH and Uni can also cater to their family responsibilities.
Nope,They still get it at same rate. Oil subsidizes all federal universities. This applies to other courses as well. most of them travel, train and come back because of a sense of beholding to the Nigerian People. The good people not people like you

Anyways it doesnt matter what you think. I dont know how much you make in 5 years but These doctors will make 10 times that this year alone. How does that make you feel? lol

Some Nigerians are stupid sha. How do you sell yourself so cheap? You go there without visa, they use you and pay whatever then dump or deport you after Covid is over for not coming through the right channels. Then you will come on NL after creating 100 usernames to cry out for help back to Nigeria. Giving some hellish stories. Doctors wey no get sense.
Hilarious. Whatever helps you sleep at night. It doesnt work that way in the UK. They will be given visas when they arrive. Paid the exact amount agreed on their contract . They can also break the contract whenever they like,You hear. You may want to buy some sense before talking next time

You spend all your time blaming politicians, this is another money and talent laundering. Nigeria should open the Treasury so that you can help yourselves because you got free medical education.

Imagine if Britain and America got a plane to export their medical workers to Siberia and China for starving wages.

Nigeria must stop training these ingrates and replace all of them with community health officers that cannot be exported.

Money money money. Is that what made Russia, China and Scandinavian countries. After covid19, they will be sent back to their villages. Without papers, they will be hiding, doing odd jobs and sending pictures home that they have made it.

The next thing you hear, they have been deported or shot on sight by police.
Is Everything with you alright at home? Yes the Nigerian people have subsidised medical education but that doesnt mean Doctors should stay here and do odd jobs for 6 years and more while being denied residency training.

They have families and dependents too. Everyday you read the newspapers about key workers going on strike for their salaries. I say anyone who wants to leave should leave . Today if possible. See how valued they are,UK even sent private jet for them.

Keep this your aggro for buhari. Nigerian Doctors are not even answering you.

Thanks for this response, I booked and did my biometrics for a tier 2 (general) visa in Nigeria before the lockdown, and I've gotten no response even now that they're open.

Wanted to know, if I may still get the waiver or should expect a visa or if anyone has been issued a visa recently.
Yea the bloke just got into the uk this afternoon. he used a waiver. it depends on how desperately your employers need you. If it's the NHS,I dont see them sending a special flight for anybody. Annoying

Lol. You will be alright. You are only 25. Ruth did not sit down in her house everyday lamenting. She went to work and worked her ass off. That's where she met her soulmate.

Remove anything and anyone putting pressure on you be it facebook, instagram whatever. Surround yourself with things YOU really like. That way you will emit an aura of happiness which to me is the most beautiful thing.

Marriage does not bring happiness. it only amplifies what's already there. That's the truth. Love and light

This youtube channel I found shows how Indians and Tunisians do theirs. It gets really scary as they can remotely access your computer.
