In my mother tongue
God is “Olorun”

I BELIEVE IN GOD
But I don’t believe in religion
Quote me!
My name is Olugbenga and I’m not a terrorist
If you ask some of my friends they will tell you I’m a Christian some will say moslem
I don’t have time to make friends because of religions

Your religion doesn’t depict your behavior
Some people go to church to get new girls number
Some go to mosque to get money from their Alhaji daddy

I repeat again It will not be better for any fanatic

I wish to write more
This okay

My name is Olugbenga a Yoruba boy to be precise

Oluwa is God, Gbenga is put higher and I believe my God will gbemiga

Ok great check this out though https://www.atheists.org/activism/resources/about-atheism/ I will also like to know the properties of this hypothetical "God" you claim to believe in. Please educate us.

The best strategy is not to reply, mention or quote daft posts. Let's be disciplined guys. Let's stick to the plan.

This thread has gotten so toxic to the extent that no matter how daft a post someone drops you will be like "this is it" only for you to see that stupid post gaining likes. Geez.
In fact the mods should lock this thread up.

At this juncture, I think it would be better for my state of mind if nnpc would come out and openly announce that they have scrapped this recruitment and we should forget about it. Than this endless waiting. SMH

Actually, there is no need setting fire to the rain. This thread is becoming a joke. It's quite clear to me it's not worth it. I laugh when someone would accuse me of looking for LIKES when I give an info... Likes on Nairaland? To even think that the latest informant is being attacked is funny, thought he was untouchable..

and like I've noticed some people say here, "it's high time we start keeping our info to ourselves and allow everybody wait for their apl in peace".. but still we still get called out later for any info at all.. which one we dey?
I understand but please like Jarus did, he faced the person that was talking trash. Not everyone is that stupid. We appreciate being informed by you and the rest others even though nnpc might still change things back door. Selah

Forget posting link. You dont need to tell me if you are an atheist or not. Your language structure, conversation, flow of explanation and your latent sentiments are enough to show you arent. But you can keep believing you are.

Like i told you, you will find answers someday as you keep seeking with an open mind.
Lol, I was once a Christian (like you, maybe). I took part in these kind of arguments and progressed from being rigid to being flexible to keeping an open mind to atheism. But what set me apart from friends that are still Christians today is that I always engaged honestly. Hopefully, your mind will open to the deception of religion and you'll be free someday.

Atheist is the most misused word on Nairaland.

Fortunately for you, from you discussions here, it is obvious you arent an atheist, you are just a believer looking for answers to some unanswered questions.
Keep an open mind as you keep seeking for answers.

I am an atheist and you might want to educate yourself on the strict meaning: https://www.atheists.org/activism/resources/about-atheism/

Newton didn't believe in god

How does this say he doesnt belive in God? Him not holding orthodox Christian views does not in any way mean he didn't belive in God.

WE have read extensively about BIG BANG theory and evolution, we've been taught in school as well, but how do you expect someone(like me) who has witnessed many miracles, i get to see some things before they happen in my life, i pray and i see positive change, and u expect me not to believe that some supernatural being exist?

Because miracles are made up. Non of your pastors or whoever can demonstrate miracles in public. When asked they'll tell you God works in mysterious ways. That's the trick and modus operandi of snake oil salesmen

See bro am not going to click any link, religion has no hold on me. Believe is a choice, I am my own god actually, I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul. I am who I say I am, I am my own creation and I am my own God. I am a very spiritual person, I believe so much beyond the physical into the supernatural. There are things beyond human thinking, demons and angels exist, if those spiritual beings exist so why shouldn’t God exist. To me actually Mother Nature is God and God is Mother nature. I dream so many times and when I wake up the things I dreamt happens that same day or sometimes I see visions and it happens almost immediately. Only if one can tap into the supernatural and stop looking beyond the physical before you can understand what nature and God is all about.
Lol if we are to go by this line of thought, anyone can claim anything and it won't do well to move us forward. So please re-examine these statements.

Be it supernatural/natural, for you what makes it a fact is that it must be recorded for others to see before they/you would believe. This approach is flawed and folly.
A supernatural phenomenon is much harder, unique, sometimes unexpected to come by or explain.
If you find it hard to present evidence of physical phenomenon, how much harder would it be for those you are demanding to provide evidence of their paranormal plight which may have come unexpected or too scared to even remember to take a pic, or an invisible encounter or subconcious encounter.

same thing a snake oil sales man would say because his claims are made up, but continue.

Nope I don’t, I am not religious. I do believe in God but am a spiritual person. I think most of the stories in the Bible aren’t true, so the story of hell is just to create fear and panic into the minds of the masses.
Oh great. You are one step away from atheism then.

@larride lol, don't mind him. I asked one of them to prove that he took his bath yesterday and he cut off the conversation with silly excuses why he couldn't prove it, lol.

He can't prove a physical thing. Yet he's demanding videos before he believe other people's testimonies of experiencing the supernatural. I told him, if you count 100% of these testimonies as untrustworthy, then you yourself is 100% untrustworthy.
Lol taking ones bath is not a supernatural or outlandish claim that can be easily replicated unlike miracles that involve raising the dead and the likes. So it shouldn't be part of this argument in the first place.
