Malachi 3:10 a famous Bible verse on tithing speaks about bringing your tithe to the storehouse (church, maybe)
Deuteronomy 14:22-26 says otherwise, it says "you should drink and be merry with your tithe". I'm seriously beginning to doubt the credibility of the Bible. Maybe the translators' fault or God told writers different stories on the same issue. Read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John's account of Jesus and see real contradictions.

3. Does God answer prayers? Well, I'm not really sure about that. Someone might be suffering from malaria, the person takes drugs and still prays, the drugs work, but the person thanks God. Or a successful surgical operation, instead of thanking the doctor, they thank God. Some illnesses that would have been treated led to deaths because a certain congregation who were supposed to take the ill persons to the hospital, circled around praying. Faith without work isn't it still dead?
I remember when I had stomach ulcer, it was really terrible, I prayed and made several promises to God that if He took away the ulcer, I'd drink no more alcohol and will be more devout in worshipping Him. That didn't solve anything though, I stopped drinking and took to taking my drugs more seriously. Weeks later, I was well. I returned to drinking and after a few months, the ulcer resurfaced. That was when I realized I really needed to quit drinking. Prayers wouldn't have solved that issue.
I spent 80% of 2019 at home because of my misgivings about God's existence.
I really wish I could be convinced about God's existence because I'm not even happy to be away from Church because of the views of friends and family.

4. Children of God, or so called children of God tend to suffer more tribulations, hard times and desperate moments, a lot of them scream "Vanity upon Vanity" when secular people live in luxury or spend extravagantly. God tends to turn his back on those who worship Him especially when they need Him most.

In addition, you can raise money from family members and go into small scale poultry farming. You can start with as little as 50k if your compound is big enough. And in 4 months time you'll be able to get considerable funds from the sales and expand.

Like the poster above mentioned, it would help to get a tutorial on the side to have something that can sustain you pending the sales time.

P.S, am not blaming anybody but just want to know cause, like this kind of thing seem normal here in Nigeria, DPR, TCN, NPA Customs, civil Defense, prisons etc.

Is it lack of proper planing, budgeting or what. they also never communicate or give updates on what's going on, just silence & rumours everywhere.

The only exception are the Army, Navy, Airforce, FRSC & d NPF.

I know there are lots of unemployed youths to fill up spaces but wouldn't the best candidates just move on to better places or countries when delay is too much.

I stand to be corrected but, I have never come across a rich pool of talented individuals in one recruitment exercise like in the case of NNPC.

The individuals I met, saw are the best of the best from every corner of Nigeria.

The intellectuals, the Professionals and what have you were all top notched. Not even Shell can boost of such pool.of talent/skill.

This is what made me have faith in the process until now.

One can only imagine the level of progress the corporation would witness if these recruitment is solely based on merit.

If everyone who attended the interview could come together and form a country, I put it to you that in 10years time, America would be on their toes.

Great write up. Although it is worthy to note that a high academic IQ doesn't imply good attitude that encompasses several other things like empathy, lack of greed amongst others that are the fabrics of a great society. I did not realize this quickly. When I got to the university I saw so many academically smart people with bad attitudes.

It would also interest you that so many govt officials in this country that have been causing us trouble upon troubles have some of the best education overseas.

I asked if it had anything to do with contract staff gist for clarity. Response: Not at all. Contract staff participated in the exercise and a lot did not make it past CBT.
However, there's contrasting news (known to those that should know) that GT and EH could resume same time.

The level of secrecy though. Info is strictly on a need to know basis. Even the GM corporate HR is not saying much as to avoid "he said, I said" He pretty much has refused to confirm which of the above is the path to follow.

If the GMD as at last 3 weeks said the process will soon be completed, and grapevine confirmed he gave the go ahead last 8 days ago minus weekend, now if he did truly give a go ahead that day, how long will it take the HR team to liase with IT department to make sure hard copies of APLs is printed, signed and maybe stamped and transported to the various pick up points Nationwide. A courier service maybe used, if the bulk of the 1300 letters is given to them how long will it take them to sort and transport them to this pick up points in the 36+1 States of the federation.

Success notification will come out when the logistics company is about to start dispersing the APL and it will be uniform Nationwide. IT department uploading and update the portal of successful candidates will also be considered.
In all I think a one month wait from that said Friday is not harmful.

I strongly believe some people here have genuine information on this recruitment but seeing how others whose dates failed to materialize have been bashed,decided to remain quiet.

My dad just left the phone with his cousin who is a senior manager at NNPC kaduna. He(his name has been mentioned here before and I think he may know one or two things about this recruitment but chose not to contact him due to private family issues) has been working there even before I was born.

They spoke at length and according to him, “everything being equal, successful applicants(GT $EH) will be contacted before the 15th of this month otherwise expect it first week after the festive period break because the necessary modalities as we speak are being put in place to accommodate the new intakes from February 2020”.

On contract staff
He made mentions of government bureaucracy and agitations from some quarters in respect to contract staff asking for an upgrade. He said these are common things with govt recruitment and we shouldn’t take it serious as it won’t have any bearing on the final list.

Please digest what I said before attacking me!!

1.My source is not at the tower but his position makes him to get information and it’s my first time asking him because I want to know the state of things

Since you were not moved to call their attention to the delay after passing through the gruelling stages up till the last stage, it is obvious you didn't need the job. Case closed.

I don't know why some Nigerians expect us to celebrate mediocrity. I'm not surprised though. What is wrong is wrong even if Harvard University does it.

People shouting shell and Total, how many of them have gotten to the last stages of shell and total? Imagine getting to the last stage(say the recruitment process consists of about 5 gruelling stages that warranted you to travel from one state to another) and you experience this kind of long silence from them, I'm pretty sure you will be equally moved to call them out.
