For firstly, Jesus-not me-said that it was in a place called "Hell" the rich man lifted up his eyes. Secondly, he was in "Torment". Thirdly, he spoke to a true-life character of renown, Abraham-to prove that it wasn't fictional-and asked him to have mercy on him, and send Lazarus-another true-life character, who he very well knew during his time on earth to be a beggar-to dip "the tip of his finger in water" and "cool his tongue" to show the extent to which he was "tormented in this flame". And there's yet more in the remaining part but if you are not able to even put all these ones together and get "Hell Fire", then i'm sorry ma, i can't help you. For if Jesus himself by his own words, can't make you believe, then who am i?

I bet u still don't know where that is....acts chap 2 v12 clearly said they accused the disciple of being drunk.. if they clearly understood the new tongues would they still insult the disciples..
Further at verse 14 peter started explaining that this is the work of the holy spirit and not new wine...there wouldn't be need for peter's explanation if they understood what tongues the disciple used...

As for interpreting...that's another gift of the spirit entirely like the bible records in 1cor 12v10...

Verse 14 -15 of the same chapter clearly explains what to do when you really feel the need to engage in tongues in a church. 1cor14v4 says speaking in tongues edifies the spirit of the speaker.

He never said don't speak in tongues at all, he even made an example of himself that it will be wrong for a pastor to just come into service speak in tongues for 2 hrs and then say sermon closed for it is possible for no one to understand it(1cor 14v6)

He jumped verse 2 and went down where he got himself confused, speaking in tongues and praying in tongues is a different thing, what we see in churches is praying in tongues and not speaking in tongues. Verse 2 says "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries."

speaking in tongues need an interpreter, but praying in the spirit which is praying in tongues does not...but verse 2 says u are speaking mysteries no man understand u but God..... and verse 15 says, do not do one but, do both... Yeah l thought l answered that in my previous reply. God's judgment is based on your deeds, the book of revelation makes it clear that people were judged by their works. The faith in the gospel is not a mental faith whereby we just recite a particular creed and then go to heaven.
Nay, rather it is the faith that puts you in God's hall of fame. So even Christians who just have mental belief in Christ but do not show the fruits of the spirit nor grow in them are useless and worse than those who live by right conscience without the gospel. Deeds matter in the end, but the gospel is not all about heaven and hell, Jesus wants us to live the real life by becoming the salt of the earth, not just acting based on the right conscience but living by the spirit of Christ.
Heaven and Hell is not the major focus here, but wherever hell is mentioned, deeds come into play first. Read Revelation and the sayings of Jesus.
