Not yet but she really want's to know more about Jesus and i'm believing the holy spirit to take control.I hav done my own part and i'm still on it !

The Ethiopian Eunuch was a good example of what to do,Christianity did not start today and do not think there is a question concerning scripture that has not been tackled before. It is clear that the passage in 1Cor3:13-17 is a passage talking about judgement of people that have died. Dear brethren, no one is actually sure of heaven until you die in the lord,"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall".1Cor10:12. This was told to believers and not unbelievers.When the apostle paul wrote saying "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" he wasn't talking to unbelievers, no he was talking to believers. You do not go to sleep saying "I have accepted Jesus as my personal lord and savior, I am saved", you have to put your belief into practice by doing what Christ has told us to do, because "Faith without good work is dead of itself" James2:17. It is erroneous to think that someone whose work will burn when tested, will be in heaven already. The scripture passage said "...will suffer loss, but even he will be saved, yet so as by fire" 1Cor3:15.Why do you just trivialize the matter by saying the person who is yet to be saved is in heaven already but will not be elevated in rank? Are you not the one now disputing Rev21:27, "nothing unclean shall enter..."? "The Holy spirit spoke to me" that's what is putting Christendom in total disarray.Who was more under the influence of the Holy spirit than Peter? Yet did you not see the difference on his stand on circumcision with that of Paul? Was it not after the council that they said "...it has pleased us and the Holy spirit..."Acts15:28. Only if you can say that your word is final, that is, it has pleased you and the Holy spirit... will your interpretation of scripture be flawless.Anything else is subject to probability of error as seen in your assertions in bold. Let's be open to learning, that we may know the truth and be free in deed.

My brother,we dnt have to fight over this ! After all the bible said we should compare scriptures with scripture !In the very few times i have studied and compared scriptures,i'm yet to see the bible contradicting it self ! Please let's take it easy.
Now,i never said a sinner who failed to repent of his sins will go to heaven becos i'm yet to see it in the holy bible ! I said we all who are saved wre saved by the grace and not of works and i quoted scriptures for that !
Now see different scriptures other than the ones quoted earlier to support that our good works never brought us salvation !

''He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:5 Just to quote a few !
You quoted Ephesians 2:12-'Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,'' Now Apostle Paul isn't saying we should do works to earn Salvation.If that is what he meant by this scripture,then it will mean that he(Paul)is contradicting himself ! The words of the Apostle was inspired by God and can not be contradictory ! Any explanation that says it is for us to do work to earn salvation is totally wrong and in due time or season,the holy spirit will convict the person,people or the church of the meaning of this scriptural saying ! Let's be open for the holy spirit to teach us.
What Apostle Paul is saying when he said we should work out our salvation with fear and trembling is nothing but to bring out that which you already have ! Means let the light (salvation through faith )that you already have so shine that it might be seen and when tested with fire(i.e the process of purification just as Gold and silver passes through fire)it will still stand and earn you a reward ! To work out ur salvation with fear and trembling in summary is to show the evidence of the salvation you already have. It has got to do with every good thing that comes out of a genuine born again christian.It is all encompassing but does NOT mean we should do all that to earn salvation. It has to do with the fear(reverence or complete respect or humility for God) Go out for soul winning.Give arms to the poor for you to also have treasures in heaven.In other words,it means the total exhibition of the fruits of the spirit !
All these good works above weren't what brought you the salvation but they should be seen once you are saved !
'You said faith without works is dead'. I agree becos the bible says so.But the works comes after faith and not works before faith ! It is ur faith that brings out the works knowingly or un knowingly to you. There is no way you can claim you have faith and has got no works to show for it. But you can have the works without the faith !-So,Paul is saying,if you have faith,then you will exhibit the works and not the other way round. It's just like saying you will go into the swimming pool and not be wet ! How possible is that ? But you can be wet without going into the pool !
May God help us to understand what the spirit is saying !

It was a Muslim colleague of mine who showed me ur post yesterday on NL and she was laughing saying''It's sin galore ! Not all sin can take us to hell according to the christian bible''
But i prayed and received utterance from the holy spirit to explain the scripture to her and she was calm and believed Jesus' word !

Pls what does "sin against the Holy Spirit" really mean?

The unforgivable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is an act
of resistance which belittles the Holy Spirit so grievously that he withdraws for ever
with his convicting power so that we are never able to repent and be forgiven.
To explain the above,let us consider the scripture and see what God is saying through HIS son Jesus who left us with the HOLY SPIRIT to convict us of our sins and bring us to repentance !
See below what Christ is saying in Mark 3:29:
''but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences."
If you look at the scripture above,you will see that Christ did not say if you blaspheme against God or HIM(Jesus)the son of God BUT HE said blaspheme against the holy spirit ! God the Father,God the Son and God the Holy spirit are one i.e 'EGG' It has got the shell,the egg white and the yoke ! It's three in one but they have their different roles aiming at achieving one goal ! Now since by the grace of God we have seen or already know that God the FATHER THE SON AND THE HOLLY SPIRIT IS ONE,let's just take a little highlight of their duties !
1.God the Father-HE has planned redemption
2.The son (Jesus has accomplished redemption. This wonderful redemption is outside ourselves and available to us if we repent of our sin
and turn back to Christ in faith !
3.But it is the unique and special role of the Holy Spirit to apply the Father's plan and the Son's accomplishment of it to our hearts !
From the above,we can see that the holy spirit plays the role of bringing both the fathers plans and the sons accomplishment to our hearts !
Now,if we blaspheme the father which most of us do every now and then,there is still hope ! If we blaspheme the son,there may still be hope according to what Jesus says in the book of Mathew 12:32-32 ''And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the age to come.''
From the above we have seen that even if you sin against Jesus,the son of man,you can still be forgiven !
The big question is ;'what is the sin against the holy spirit and why can't i be forgiven here on earth and after ?
One of the sins committed before this statement was uttered by Christ was that the scribes were heard by Jesus attributing the powers of the Holy spirit that works in him as the powers of Satan, saying that HE (Jesus)uses the powers of Bezeebul to cast out demons and do miracles as well! This is only but one according to Mark 3:29.
From the fact that we have established regarding the work or role of the Holy spirit''But it is the unique and special role of the Holy Spirit to apply the Father's plan and the Son's accomplishment of it to our hearts !''We can therefore say,if we[b] grieve[/b] the holy spirit who is suppose to bring conviction to our hearts therefore bringing about the plans of God the father regarding redemption through the death of HIS son Jesus,who then will do this Job if we grieve the holy spirit ?
Christ isn't saying that we can not be forgiven because we asked for forgiveness.HE is saying we can not ask for forgiveness becos the holy spirit has been grieved and left us with our own human conscience that is weak becos we sinned agains the holy spirit! And if we do not ask for forgiveness becos we can't as a result of the fact that we have grieved the holy spirit and he has decided to let us be,how then can we be forgiven? Forgiveness can never be possible becos the one who is supposed to convict us and bring us to repentance for us to be forgiven has far long left us to ourselves !

Those works are the things that will be tried according to 1 Corinthians 3:15. And if they are found to stand erect,WE(SAVED CHRISTIANS ALREADY IN HEAVEN) will be rewarded in Heaven but if they are burnT,the righteous man who is already saved and in heaven will suffer a[b] loss[/b]What is this loss?[/b]Will you be sent out of heaven becos ur 'christian works'suffered a [b]loss? CAPITAL NO ! But you will not be among the high flying profile ranking !(There are different crowns,garments,positions,and so on) There are captains in heaven and there are other low profile heavenly candidate.But the good thing is that every one made righteous by the death and blood of Jesus will be in Heaven.
So brother,by HIS grace,we all will make heaven but let us fight to have a high ranking profile in heaven according to 1 corinthians 3:14 THE FIRST GROUP ! And not allow our works after been saved to be burnt and fall into the 2nd group -1 Corinthians 3:15 !

FXKing2012: Now I'm learning. About the 3rd group you mentioned, how does one defile the temple of God? Could this be the sin against the Holy Spirit which the Bible says cannot be forgiven. I ask because the verse says the third group will be destroyed by God.

And about the 2nd group, what exactly does the Bible mean by "If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire"?

From the above,we can see that our body is the temple of the Holy spirit.
But the 3rd group that will be sent to hell according to 1 Corinthians 3 :16-17 are SINNERS ! These are the group who never accepted Christ.Who never believed in HIM. Who backslides and never asked for forgiveness.Who never repented of their sins.They are the people who defiled their bodies.They sinned against God and never even bothered. So Apostle Paul said they are the ones who will be destroyed.3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 3rd group
The 1st and the second groups are holy groups ! They were forgiven of their sins.The first gropu having been saved,embarked in works so as to have treasures(reward)in heaven. The second group was a saved group but did not go ahead to do things after been saved so as to have a high rank in heaven but the 3rd group are the groups that remained in sin that never repented of their sins or repented and backslided or continue to live in sin defiling his/her body so at the end,they will be cast into the lake of burning sulphure !
So my brother,which group are you ? Which group do you desire ? If you are a christian,then you can NOT live in sin but even if you sin,remember that we have ONLY ONE advocate with the father whom HIM alone paid the price of sin with HIS blood. Run to HIM for forgiveness and you will be forgiven !

Now I'm looking seriously at that second group and I'm wondering, this God is a merciful God and Just as well, he does not condone sin,but he looks at the heart and rewards effort,hence there are some who really made effort but are not perfect. We often say no one is perfect but we still hope to enter heaven, how? The answer is in that 2nd group. Lets leave the name " purgatory" for now,let's give a thought to the above scriptural lines, if you are interested, we can move ahead.

Still focusing on the second group like you said ! Friend,do you believe that we all will be rewarded according to our works here on earth ? Not works that we might be saved but works as those who are already saved by HIS grace and not of works ! Apostle Paul can't contradict himself for he earlier said in Romans 2:8- For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- See also Romans 9:16-It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. See also Acts 15:11-No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are." Just to mention a few to establish the fact that we are saved by grace and not of works !
Do you believe that all who are in Heaven that are saved will still be rewarded according to their achievements here on ? See below scripture:''Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven- Mathew 19
See also that The Soul Winner will be rewarded. 1st Corinthians 3:8, "Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour." !

Now coming to what the same Apostle Paul is saying in 1st Corinthians 3:15 Here,Paul isn't talking of our works to be saved but that as we are saved,what have we achieved for God as saved Christians ?That all the things we do after been saved will be burned,if they are not worthy enough to gain us a high ranking profile,then it will just be that we have been saved and are in heaven ! Abraham died and went to heaven and so was lazarus but they were both in heaven with different ranks !

Everything that one does as a Christian for the Lord Jesus Christ—soulwinning, doing good, helping the poor, lending without hope of return, teaching the Bible, contending for the faith, loving our enemies, passing out Bibles—will be greatly rewarded by God in eternity.

Please understand, none of these things will get us to Heaven. We are saved solely by Christ's righteousness; and not by any self-righteousness of our own, and a good thing, because we have none to offer God (Isaiah 64:6). Hence, we don't do good works to become a Christian; we do good works because WE ARE a Christian.The big question that we will be asked when we get to heaven will be 'HOW GOOD WAS UR WORK WHILE ON EARTH '? Just to say ‘You fool!’ takes one to hell according to - Mathew 5:22 ! Yes there are sins that are against man BUT wen you look at it critically you will see that God frowns at it as well ! Apart from the fact that you might be punished here on earth,God can also punish you for it if you do not ask for forgiveness and genuinely repent of it.God said that all authorities that be are instituted by HIM that we should be subject to them. But he wants us to disobey any authority that contradicts HIS word as well and even if the authority or man will punish us for disobeying those authorities(laws) that contradicts God's word,God HIMSELF will not punish us for that. See the case of Shdrach,Meshach and abenego the three Hebrew boys !
God is great and HIS word is settled forever in Heaven. Any one who obeys or follows any other authority other than that of God The Father, will have himself to blame when the trumpet shall sound !

Friends,it's no longer by works.We have got no dues to pay.If we still pay dues may be some kind of stuffs called penance,then Jesus shouldn't have died.If you still pay dues till date,then you make the death and blood of Jesus of no effect.If any one sins,he should remember he's got a mediator(Jesus)with the father in heaven who will always speak on his behalf unto the father ! All we need is to genuinely repent of our sins and the Holy spirit will help us not to go back to it.It's nothing but by his grace and not any form of payment of dues !-1st John 2:1''My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. The wages(reward) for sin is death(spiritual) Romans 6:23. God in I Samuel 15:23 ,classify rebellion,witchcraft,stubborness,iniquity and idolatry as one that is equal sin. Likewise Galatians 5:19 - 21, grouped all sin as works of the flesh that can hinder one from inheriting His kingdom. once you miss the kingdom of God you are heading to hell which is the second and final death. So please, don't be deceived; stealing a cup of garri carries the same penalty with armed robbery and abortion leading the sinner to hell(death). It is the old law that group sin for death and those not for death e.g. adultery attract stoning to death. Therefore get understanding when the Bible make reference to the old law and know what the new law prescribe. REPENT FROM ALL SIN FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND.

The spirit of the most high God lives in YOU ! May God bless you and help you and I not to be cast away on the last day when the trumpet shall sound !

1 John 5:16-18

16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

Question is how do u know what sin leads to hell? That is where this scripture comes in:

Let's forget what ever interpretation that one may want to give here ! The bible says that all unrighteousness is sin. And the word of God can not be broken.Any interpretation that says that there are sins that will take you to hell and there are sins that will keep you on earth or there are sins that will take you to some other place other than hell,contradicts the bible and will make the bible look as if it's contradicting itself !
With the help of the Holy spirit,see below what John is saying in the Scripture above:
There are sins that are in the laws that the bible in the old testament has stipulated it's penalty.Those are the ones known by all as sin that can't be contested.i.e idolatry,murder,blasphemy etc.There are also sins that though not in the law book and no penalty 'according to the law' is stipulated and thus has no 'death'penalty attached to the sin becos it is not stipulated in the law But people are aware of these sins becos they have been around Jesus,heard HIS teachings or most likely hav also received understanding from the holy spirit.John the disciple is saying to the ones who have this understanding that that when ever they find their brother sinning this type of sin becos of ignorance,they should beg God to forgive these ignorant brothers for them to receive the gift of life !PLEASE NOTE:If those 'ignorant sin' committed by man will not eventually kill man i.e lead unto death,John will not say 'and God will give him life for them[/b]But John knows that all sin will eventually lead to death but to he who commit's it,(ignorantly)may just think that becos it's not stipulated as sin unto death in the law book,then it can not lead him to hell or kill him.John used that word the sin that lead's unto death to explain to the people becos that is how it is in the law book(death penalties for sin)!
God via John want's us to LET ALL MEN KNOW THAT SIN IS SIN AND THERE IS NO BIG SIN OR SMALL SIN that ALL SINS eventually lead to death hence the admonition to the ones who understand to beg God to [b]give life unto the ones 'sinning the sin'[/b]not the ones who died in the sin !

Moreover, If one has Jesus as Lord and savior, how can a curse work in that person's life?

God is the owner of curses and HE made the first curse ever on man(Adam)!
The curse been referd to in Ezekiel that has bin nullified by God was the one HE made unto man(israelites)as a result of their disobedience to HIM. Now there are curses bin made for man by man the devil and demons. But if God does not approve of ur bin cursed,no man can curse you !The only way God will defend you is if you are HIS. If you have christ in you,you can't share from the curse bin made for man by man,the devil and demons. So,a 'christian' can't be cursed becos he's got christ in him. But if you are not in Christ and christ not in you,i.e you disobey Christ and His father,any curse be it an ancestral or what have you,can hold you down and what breaks it is ur total obedience to the word of God.
So,there are ancestral curses bin made for man by man,the devil and demons.But a christian can not be cursed by any of the other negative agents of curse ! But if you are not in christ,then even the curses made for ur fore fathers can hit you ! But God has eradicated the ancestral curse HE made unto man long time ago even before his son came to die for us to further nullify that which has bin nullified !

And wen he tried to address you as a 'pagan', You immediately refuted claiming u have a vast knowledge of the history of traditional form of worship or beliefs though can't really tell what caused the big b.ang. !

Delays in receiving from God might be attributed to so many things that might not necessarily be God's issue But you !
1-You might be praying and asking amiss(Asking in dissonance with the word of God)
2-You might be a sinner i.e lives in sin and want to receive from God
3-It's most likely you are inpatient
4-Though you pray and praise God but your question here shows that you are not faithful !
5-Have you considered the perfect will of GOD concerning you ? But i know that if i have a good relationship with God,my will for sure will be God's will !
6-The bible says that God tempt's no man but we can be tried by God ! Temptation is from urself and the devil just to bring you down But trial which is from God is there to build you in faith and all others !

One thing we fail to understand is you MUST give if you are a living being ! It does not matter what you give,where you give and to who you give ! Now for Christians,the bible encouraged us to give to the poor,men of God and also to the ministry ! If u choose to give to only the poor and you are a true christian,you will have treasures in heaven.For a non christian,you might as well receive ur reward here. If help the ministry,it means i am working with God.Ofcourse you know the benefits of working with God and that is if u believe there is God ! Give to men of God is obeying the word of God. So,all giving is giving ! Sure there are fertile ground to sow anything,wether money,goods,the word or what have you.If u sow on a rocky ground,it is left for you.

The docket says' TIP-18% percent and the self acclaimed man of God said; '[b]Why give TIP of 18 percent when i give God 10 percent !'[/b]You see,that is to tell you that this man isn't a giver and complains about giving a TIP that he had to use the name of God to give an excuse for not GIVING A TIP to a waitress.
